행위 기반 정보교재의 유용성 및 학습자의 재미 평가 (Evaluating Learner's Fun and Usability for Act-Based Informatics Teaching Material)

  • 본 연구는 중학생을 대상으로, 팀벨의 언플러그드 교재를 사용하여 실험 수업을 실시하고 학습자의 재미와 정보교재로서의 유용성을 평가하였다. 사전 평가를 통해 실험 수업 참가자들의 컴퓨터의 동작 원리에 대한 이해 정도가 매우 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌으나 실험 수업에 대한 학습자의 재미를 기대감, 참여도, 지속성의 관점에서 측정한 결과 긍정적인 반응을 보였고, 실험수업 종료 1개월 후 실시한 사후 평가에서 학습 과정을 대부분 기억하고 있었고, 학습 내용을 정확히 이해하고 있었다. 본 연구를 통해, 팀벨의 교재와 같은 유형의 정보교재를 이용한 컴퓨터 원리 학습은 학습자의 흥미 유발 및 학습 효과 면에서 우수함이 밝혀졌고 연구의 결과에 따라 새로운 정보교육 교육과정에 적용될 수 있는 정보교재의 한 유형으로 제안한다.

초등 예비교사와 경력교사의 좋은 수업 관점 비교 (A Comparison of Viewpoints on the Good Lesson between Elementary School Pre-service Teachers and Experienced Teachers)

  • Through the criticism and evaluation of different classes teaching the same lesson topic, this study compared the viewpoints by two ways between two groups including pre-service and experienced teachers. Through free-style criticism, this study analyzed the differences between pre-service and experienced teachers' areas of attention. Through criteria-based analysis, the study analyzed the judgement of each area and the criteria of each judgement. The results of the study found that pre-service teachers criticised more limited areas, but somewhat more positive than their experienced teacher counterparts. Also, pre-service teachers did not observe thoroughly whether or not the teacher was well-informed of the science content, the sequence of curriculum, and whether or not meaningful interaction had occurred. As well as, pre-service teachers were not actually feel importance of student-oriented lessons, and they could not look room and materials are useful to students on students' sides. Additionally, pre-service teachers thought highly of lessons which were connected to other subjects rather than connected to daily life. Therefore, to notice diverse areas in the class, pre-service teachers need to criticise lessons using a diverse criterion. Also, pre-service teachers realized simple questions and that mechanical group activities are not always effective and that they need to think how to improve meaningful interaction. Moreover, they have to perceive that an inquiry-oriented student-lead approach is very important. Lastly, pre-service teachers have to closely consider the room efficiency and materials available to the students, and they must internalize that science class has to be connected with daily life.

초등 예비교사의 VR/AR 활용 과학 수업 계획 과정에서 나타나는 TPACK 특징 -인식적 네트워크 분석을 중심으로- (Characteristics of Pre-service Elementary Teachers' TPACK in Science Lesson Planning Using VR/AR Contents: Focusing on Epistemic Network Analysis)

  • 이 연구에서는 인식적 네트워크 분석(ENA)을 통해 초등 예비교사의 VR/AR 콘텐츠 활용 과학 수업 계획 과정에서 나타나는 TPACK의 특징을 알아보고자 했다. 연구자들은 기존의 TPACK 프레임워크에 기초하여 7개의 TPACK 코딩 요소를 귀납적으로 추출하였다. 그리고 초등 예비교사들이 과학 수업을 계획하며 나누는 담화를 TPACK 요소에 따라 코딩하고 이를 ENA Web Tool로 분석하였다. 두 모둠의 담화를 분석하고 비교하였는데 연구자들이 질적으로 분석한 두 모둠의 담화의 차이는 ENA 그래프를 통해 명확하게 드러났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 연구자들은 ENA 방법이 기존 TPACK 연구와 달리 테크놀로지 지식(TK), 내용 지식(CK), 교수 지식(PK)의 복합적 상호작용을 분석할 수 있는 유용한 연구 방법임을 주장하였다. 그리고 두 모둠의 담화에서 나타나는 특징을 통해 예비교사의 TPACK 역량 함양을 위한 시사점을 논의하였다.

과학적 실험과 공학적 실험에서 초등교사의 수업 과정 분석 (Analysis of Elementary School Teachers' Laboratory Instruction Process through Experiments from Science Laboratory and Engineering Laboratory)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze of how the elementary school teachers lead their classes of a science laboratory instruction and an engineering laboratory instruction in a science subject class. For this study, science laboratory and engineering laboratory lessons were selected and for each science and engineering laboratory lesson, five elementary school teachers were video-recorded of their lessons. The science and engineering laboratory lessons were analyzed by utilizing processes of the science model and the engineering model based on Schauble et al. (1991). The results of these studies are as follows: In science laboratory instruction, some participants didn't distinguish the difference between the science laboratory goal and the engineering laboratory goal. All of participants used search and end strategy of engineering laboratory for science laboratory lesson. In engineering laboratory instruction, all of participants guided to students engineering laboratory goal and used inferences and search strategy of engineering laboratory. However they didn't use the trial and error strategy or redesign which can be an essential element in engineering and design process. Educational implications are discussed.

학습정리 단계에서 만화자료를 활용한 수업이 과학적 태도 및 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Using Cartoon at Finishing Stage of Class on Scientific Attitude and Academic Achievement)

  • This study is to verify the effects of classes at a finishing stage using cartoons depicting certain science textbook units on scientific attitudes and academic achievements of students, compared to those of classes using experiment and observation oriented textbooks. Participants of this study were 56 fifth graders at B Elementary School in Busan, and cartoon textbooks were developed based on 'Unit 1. Mirror & Lens' and 'Unit 3. Temperature & Wind' from a science textbook for the 1st semester, the year 5 to conduct cartoon led lessons just before ending a class till the 10th lesson, for the period of 4 weeks. The result of this study can be summarized as follows: Firstly, scientific attitudes improved better from the cartoon based lesson of a final stage than from the experiment and observation method, and especially more effective in lower groups among all other academic achievement levels as well as in male students. Secondly, academic achievements scored higher when cartoons were used in lessons than when the experiment and observation type was used, with higher groups of academic achievement levels working better, despite no significant gap existing between two genders. Thirdly, the memory transfer and sustenance of lessons were more effective in finishing class stage with cartoon studies than with experiment and observation one, and among all levels and both sexes, higher academic groups and male pupils exceeded. Fourthly, when questioned about their opinions on a cartoon led lesson for a final stage, 65% of those participants responded positively, while higher groups preferred more than lower groups. responded positively, while higher groups preferred more than lower groups.

공립초등학교와 사립초등학교의 정보교육 시수 비교 연구 (A Study on Comparing the Computer Science Education Hours between Public and Private Elementary Schools)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 정보교육을 하기 위해 얼마나 시수가 필요할지 알아보기 위해 서울 소재 사립초등학교의 정보교육 시수를 분석해보고자 하였다. 최근 실시된 2022개정교육과정 온라인 토론참여 및 조사결과 안내에 따르면 학생, 학부모가 정보교육이 강화되기를 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 현재 공립초등학교에서의 정보교육은 2015개정교육과정을 기준으로 실과교과에 별도 단원으로 구성되어 17시간 이상을 실시하게 되어 있다. 서울에 있는 사립초등학교 28개의 평균 정보교육 시수를 조사한 결과 6년 동안 약 152시간의 정보교육시수를 운영하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 공립초등학교와 약 9배정도의 교육시수 격차가 발생한 것이다. 인공지능이 중요하게 대두되고 있는 현대 사회에서 정보교육시수는 학생들의 미래역량강화를 위해 꼭 확보되어야 한다. 따라서 초등학교급에서도 정보교육을 하나의 교과로 독립하고 시수를 확보하여야 할 것이다.

Experiencing the Art/Craft/Handmade/Studio Furniture Aesthetics in Postmodernism Theoretically (I) -Defining the Postmodern furniture aesthetics as Metaphor-

  • This study explored the theoretical context of postmodern aesthetics in experiencing art/craft/handmade/studio furniture for 'wood culture experience class' or 'wood love experience class', which has been recently carried out by the Korea Forest Service and is apt to focus on making simple wood work just involved in the practical part. Qualitative conceptual analysis as the principal methodology was used to achieve the theoretical context in the experience programs. I developed the lesson for an aesthetics of art and everyday life with wood furniture which expresses the metaphorical aesthetics appeared as New Design furniture in postmodernism. As statement of objective in the lesson, I explored that students in elementary schools personally understand and define the postmodern aesthetics of New Design furniture as metaphor. As a result, the students will be able to define and identify New Design furniture as metaphor in their lives.

코메니우스의 범지주의적 교육학과 과학교육의 사상적 기원에 관한 문제 (Comenius' Pansophism as a Historical Origin of Science Education)

  • One of the historical origins of the modern science education was investigated in this paper. From the view point of the pansophistic educational philosophy which emphasized "man should teach completely all things to all mankind(Omnes, Omnia, omnino)", J.A.Comenius proposed in his book "Didactica magna"(1658) that 'physica' should be learned as one of the most important school subjects. He suggested the completion of human being as a wholeness of the universe could be achieved through the physics teaching. His ideas of science education was, however, directed not to the 'rational konwledge' about the natural world, but to the 'divine wisdom'. His main thoughts and influences on science education can be summarized as follows: 1) The human being as a God's image should know the divinely created nature, because the invisible God's existence can be sensorially recognized in the nature. 2) Physics or science should be regarded as more important objects than verbal learning in general school education. 3) The cognitive union between the words('representative' or 'das Dargestellte') and things('presentative' or 'das Dargebotene') can be achieved through the objects lesson ('Anschauungsunterricht') 4) The realistic and sensor-cognitive learning theory of the object lesson is yet very important especially in the science education of elementary school, even though the inquiry learning process has became more important in the last years. 5) The religious aspect of his idea could not satisfy the social needs of industrialization and the development of professonal technics in the 18 to 19th century.

e-NIE 학습이 초등학생의 과학탐구능력 및 과학적 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of e-NIE Based Lesson on Science Process skills and Scientific Attitudes of Elementary Students)

  • This study was aimed to find the impact of science lessons using e-NIE on science process skills and scientific attitudes of elementary students in comparison with that of traditional lessons. Subjects of this study were 5th graders from two separate classes at a elementary school located in U city. And the experiment has been conducted throughout 10 lessons for the duration of total 12 weeks, where one class, experimental group, attended e-NIE based lessons, while the other, comparative group, with traditional lessons for the same period, in an effort to collect both pre and post test results to compare. Findings from this study were briefly listed below: Firstly, e-NIE applied lessons were more effective in improving science process skills than traditional lessons, especially in the domain of integrated science process skills, with meaningful difference. Secondly, lessons combined with e-NIE enhanced scientific attitudes of elementary students more than traditional lessons with meaningful difference.

  • This study explored interpretation of the symbolical and metaphorical aesthetics in experiencing art/craft/handmade/studio furniture theoretically for 'wood culture experience class' or 'wood love experience class' by the Korea Forest Service because the class tends to focus on making simple wood works involved just in the practical part. Qualitative conceptual analysis as the principal methodology was used to achieve the theoretical context in the experience programs. After the lesson one on defining the postmodern aesthetics in New Design furniture as metaphor in the previous paper, I developed lesson two for an aesthetics of art and everyday life with wood furniture which expresses the metaphorical and symbolical aesthetics appeared as New Design furniture in postmodernism. As statement of objective in the second lesson, I explored that students in elementary schools personally transform and interpret the postmodern aesthetics of New Design furniture metaphorically with the meanings of symbol. As a result, the students will be able to write about the aesthetics of New Design furniture as metaphor in interpretation transformed by his/her perspective of a piece of selected New Design furniture.
