Innovative Leadership: A Literature Review Paper

  • Purpose: The study aims to develop literature review on innovative leadership in order to study main areas of research and present the status of innovative leadership. The study brings out the importance of innovative leadership given the rate at which the business environment is changing. The development of literature also enhances an understanding of the innovative leadership concept. Research design, data and methodology: The study adopted a desktop research methodology. Empirical and theoretical researches and articles which are relevant to innovative leadership are reviewed and analysed. Only secondary information gathered through those articles and researches is used to analyse and build literature review on innovative leadership. Results: A literature review of both qualitative and quantitative research on innovative leadership as portrayed in literature propose the new research direction that aims at unravelling the importance of adopting innovative leadership as a leadership style. Conclusions: It is evident that innovative leadership is an area which needs more attention especially in contemporary organisations. The service delivery environment is also changing rapidly thereby calling for strategies to match such changes. This paper facilitates improved understanding of innovative leadership, proffering solutions to a number of leadership challenges within various organisations.

  • This study suggests some ideas for the improvements of the classes of Language(700) and Literature(800) of the 4th Edition of Korean Decimal Classification(KDC). They includes some recommendations for the followings: introducing some new entries of the time table for the Korean Literature and English and American Literatures; relocating some entries for the improvements including language policy and administration; using new terminologies: adding new and revised notes for the appropriate entries; changing some specific classifying methods including the classification of bilingual dictionaries; introducing some options including those for the subdivisions of modern novels and those for American Literature; and discontinuing some entries not used, especially those in other Languages.

Proposed Data Literacy Competency Framework through Literature Analysis

  • With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the era of big data, the ability to handle data has become essential. This has heightened the importance and necessity of data literacy competencies. The purpose of this study is to propose a framework for data literacy competencies. To achieve this goal, data literacy frameworks from eight countries and twelve pieces of literature on data literacy competencies were analyzed and synthesized, resulting in five categories and twenty-three competencies. The five categories are: data understanding and ethics, data collection and management, data analysis and evaluation, data utilization, and data governance and systems. It is hoped that the data literacy competency framework proposed in this study will serve as a foundational resource for policies, curricula, and the enhancement of individual data literacy competencies.

  • It is an hot issue to reduce vibration for improving quality, reliability and safety in railway vehicles including magnetic levitation, monorail way, surface car etc. This paper aims at literature survey in rolling stocks vibration standards. Firstly, we investigate literature concerned vibration test standards and compare these standards. Secondly, we give some suggestions for future study and developing new test standards.

  • This paper reviews and classify fault-tree analysis methods developed since 1960 for system safety and reliability. Fault-tree analysis is a useful analytic tool for the reliability and safety of complex systems. The literature on fault-tree analysis is, for the most part, scattered through conference proceedings and company reports. This paper classify the literature according to system definition, fault-tree construction, qualitative evaluation, quantitative evaluation, and available computer codes for fault-tree analysis.

  • To have a complete and comprehensive understanding of the research subject and to form an integrated legal framework for it, I have sought comprehensively to cover the major written literature on the issue under consideration. I also benefitted from a wide range of research and academic studies pertaining to the same topic, although that literature did not specifically address the issue of consumer rights in electronic contracting in the Saudi e-commerce system. Rather, it addressed only the civil and criminal protection of the consumer in e-commerce.

  • Purpose: This study seeks to address the following research questions: (1) What are the fundamental principles of sports psychology that can be applied to business leadership? (2) How can these principles enhance business leadership effectiveness? As a result, the study may evaluate the necessity and benefits of incorporating sports psychology principles into business leadership practices. Research design, data and methodology: The data collection process in this study involved a systematic Literature review approach, following the prior literature analysis guidelines by numerous past studies. This methodical approach to selecting articles can be useful in synthesizing existing literature and can be referred to as Literature review and selection. Results: The literature analysis has indicated that there is much support for assumptions underpinning business leadership modules, which can be enhanced by applying sports psychology. This topic discusses the traits of self-positivity and mental toughness, goal perspective and interpersonal relationships within a team, and visualization in a sporting organization that can be implemented in business management to support organizational performance. Conclusions: All in all, it can be concluded that organizations must consider adopting Sports Psychology principles into their Leadership Development Programs. Exploring Functional Differences of Perceived Benefits between Competitive Sport and Eco-Sport

  • Purpose: This study sought to explore theoretical knowledge of benefits that sport participants perceived. In specific, this study reviewed related literature to explore similarities and differences of perceived benefits between competitive sport and eco-sport. Research design, data, and methodology: This study employed an integrated literature review approach. A conceptual model is suggested by reviewing prior studies. The study collected relevant documents via online search engine including KCI and google scholar. The contents and results of collected data were analyzed and categorized into perceived benefits between competitive sport and eco-sport. Results: For results, summary of perceived benefits was presented. In specific, a total of twelve variables were derived from the literature analysis as physical benefits of sport participation, which include cardiorespiratory fitness and physical self-concept and so forth. Second, a total of six mental benefits were discovered by prior studies, including happiness, stress release, psychological health and so on. Third, in terms of socio-relational benefits, four variables were derived from previous literature, which are social support, trust, and social capital and so on. Conclusions: This study identified positive outcomes of physical activities. Furthermore, a variety of benefits were categorized into three major aspects such as physical, mental, and social benefits. The study needs to be conducted to explore the effects of perceived benefits on repeat participation. Further implications were discussed.

  • Purpose: This study explores the development of zakat distribution studies and the integration of existing studies. This study is expected to complement a systematic literature review in the field of zakat distribution to inspire further research directions. Research design, data, and methodology: This research method uses a systematic literature review assisted by the Nvivo application and the PRISMA system, which selects from 427 articles to 53 articles to be analyzed based on publication and classification of the theme of its findings. This study describes publications, authors, themes, cited articles, and research themes. Results: This study shows the dominance of Malaysian writers and significant developments in 2020. In addition, the study shows the most popular articles based on the most citations and word cloud analysis. The primary topics of zakat distribution publications are management strategy, development, the zakat institution, and the recipient. Conclusions: The study advises that Future research could focus on zakat distribution's asnaf characteristics. Next, a study on administration expenses and scalability concerns in zakat collection and distribution planning can avoid wasting cash. This topic hinders zakat institutions' distribution services.

  • The purpose of this paper was to analyze the distribution ratio of citation in researches in food service and found the relationship of study. The result was as follows. First there were remarkably quantitative researches than qualitative researches. Second, the citation ratio of social studies was high according to frequency-analysis. Third, citation frequency of publication was the highest in the pre-study that included scientific papers, newspapers, art and science contest announcement data and so on. Fourth, there was much citation ratio of domestic literature than foreign literature.
