경기지역 고등학생의 고지방 간식 섭취 및 생활 스트레스와 식행동 간의 관계 (Relationship among Life Stress, Dietary Behaviors and High-fat Snack Intake in High School Students in Gyeonggi Area)

  • Objectives: Stress during adolescence is related to undesirable nutritional intake and negatively affects the growth and development. This study was performed to investigate the relationship among life stress, dietary behaviors and the intake of high-fat containing snacks in male and female high school students in Gyeonggi-do area. Methods: The subjects were 700 high school students (350 males, 350 females) in Gyeonggi-do from July to September 2014 and the survey was performed by using questionnaire that included general characteristics, dietary behaviors, high-fat containing snacks intake, and daily life stress. Results: There was a gender difference in health-related life style and dietary behaviors, and the life stress was significantly higher in female students than in male students. For health-related life style, exercise frequency, hours of sleep and conversation time with parents had significantly negative correlations with life stress, while smoking and perceived stress had significantly positive correlations with life stress. For dietary behaviors, the frequency of eating-out had a significantly negative correlation with life stress, while the changes in amount of meal intake under stress had a significantly positive correlation with life stress. The fat intake of 'high-stress group' was significantly higher and high-fat containing snacks consumed by this group consisted of cookies, honey bread and fried foods. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop appropriate programs for the emotional stability and stress relief of adolescents that provide continuous nutrition education focused on proper snack intake, desirable dietary behaviors and nutritional aspects.

Adrenergic receptor β2 activation by stress promotes breast cancer progression through macrophages M2 polarization in tumor microenvironment

  • Stress and its related hormones epinephrine (E) and norepinephrine (NE) play a crucial role in tumor progression. Macrophages in the tumor microenvironment (TME) polarized to M2 is also a vital pathway for tumor deterioration. Here, we explore the underlying role of macrophages in the effect of stress and E promoting breast cancer growth. It was found that the weight and volume of tumor in tumor bearing mice were increased, and dramatically accompanied with the rising E level after chronic stress using social isolation. What is most noteworthy, the number of M2 macrophages inside tumor was up-regulated with it. The effects of E treatment appear to be directly related to the change of M2 phenotype is reproduced in vitro. Moreover, E receptor $ADR{\beta}2$ involved in E promoting M2 polarization was comprehended simultaneously. Our results imply psychological stress is influential on specific immune system, more essential for the comprehensive treatment against tumors. [BMB Reports 2015; 48(5): 295-300]

중학생의 성격특성, 아동기 학대경험 및 스트레스가 자살생각에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Personal Characteristics, Childhood abuse and Stressful Experience on Suicidal Ideation in Middle School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors influencing suicidal ideation in middle school students. Methods: Suicidal Ideation Questionnaire (SIQ) results, personal characteristics, child abuse experiences, and stress were obtained from a sample of 657 middle school students from 3 conveniently selected schools in S city. Results: Suicidal ideation of participants was positively correlated with child abuse experience, stress, psychosomatic symptoms, antisocial personality and depressive tendencies, whereas sociability and self-esteem were negatively correlated with suicidal ideation. Significant factors influencing suicidal ideation included an antisocial personality tendency, stress related to the family environment, mental abuse, gender (female), depressive trend, running away from home, sociability, and stress related to academic performance. These factors explained 39.9% of the variance. Conclusion: These results suggest that earlier screening and intervention programs for depression and stress in middle school students will be helpful in reducing suicidal ideation. Further studies are needed in which other strategies that could prevent suicidal ideation in middle school students are examined.

여중생의 BMI에 따른 신체 이미지, 체형 스트레스, 섭식 태도 및 식사의 질에 관한 연구 (Relationships of Body Image, Body Stress and Eating Attitude, and Dietary Quality in Middle School Girls Based on Their BMI)

  • This study investigated the body image, body stress, eating attitude, and dietary quality in middle school girls. Questionnaires were administered to one hundred fifty seven middle school girls in Seoul area. The subjects were categorized into the five groups according to their body mass index (BMI); 1) severely under-weight (BMI < 16.5 $kg/m^2$), 2) under-weight (16.5 $\leq$ BMI < 18.5 $kg/m^2$), 3) normal weight (18.5 $\leq$ BM I < 23.0 $kg/m^2$), 4) overweight (23.0 $\leq$ BMI < 25.0 $kg/m^2$), and 5) obese (BMI $\geq$ 25 $kg/m^2$). 7.0%, 14.6%, 58.9%, 10.2%, and 10.2% of the subjects were classified as severely under-weight, under-weight, normal weight, overweight and obese groups, respectively. Regardless of the BMI, the subjects had disturbed body image, body stress, and poor eating attitude. The actual BMIs of the normal weight, overweight and obese subjects were significantly different from their desired BMI and perceived BMI, representing these subjects dissatisfied their body shape. Almost all subjects tried to lose their body weight even in the severely under-weight and under-weight groups. There were significant correlations of BMI with body image disturbance (p < 0.05), body stress (p < 0.01) and eating attitude (p < 0.05). These results indicated that middle school girls who have higher BMI seemed to have more body image distortion, body stress and risk of eating disorder. However, any significant difference in dietary quality among the five groups was not observed even though their dietary patterns were not balanced. As a conclusion, it is required that middle school girls should correct their distorted body image and body stress. Also, efforts to improve eating attitude, dietary pattern and nutritional status in the middle school girls are needed.

청소년의 스트레스요인에 따른 신체증상, 정신건강 비교분석 -중학생을 중심으로- (A study of Relationship among physical symptoms, mental health according to stress factors of middle school students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 중학생의 스트레스, 신체증상 및 정신건강을 확인하여 스트레스 예방과 관리에 필요한 간호중재 방안을 도출하는데 기초자료를 제공하기 위한 것이다. 연구대상자는 강원도 T시에 위치한 중학생 171명으로 수집된 자료는 SPSS win17.0 프로그램을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 스트레스와 정신건강, 스트레스와 신체증상, 정신건강과 신체증상간의 유의미한 상관관계가 있었다. 중학생들의 스트레스는 학교생활에서 학업문제 요인으로 나타냈고, 이것은 우리나라 중학생들이 진학에 대한 입시부담을 안고 있는 현실을 대변해주는 것으로 사료된다. 또한 중학생들의 스트레스, 정신건강, 신체증상간의 유의한 상관성은 지속적인 관찰과 관리가 필요하다.

Comparative Analysis on Positive Bias Stress-Induced Instability under High VGS/Low VDS and Low VGS/High VDS in Amorphous InGaZnO Thin-Film Transistors

  • Positive bias stress-induced instability in amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (a-IGZO) bottom-gate thin-film transistors (TFTs) was investigated under high $V_{GS}$/low $V_{DS}$ and low $V_{GS}$/high $V_{DS}$ stress conditions through incorporating a forward/reverse $V_{GS}$ sweep and a low/high $V_{DS}$ read-out conditions. Our results showed that the electron trapping into the gate insulator dominantly occurs when high $V_{GS}$/low $V_{DS}$ stress is applied. On the other hand, when low $V_{GS}$/high $V_{DS}$ stress is applied, it was found that holes are uniformly trapped into the etch stopper and electrons are locally trapped into the gate insulator simultaneously. During a recovery after the high $V_{GS}$/low $V_{DS}$ stress, the trapped electrons were detrapped from the gate insulator. In the case of recovery after the low $V_{GS}$/high $V_{DS}$ stress, it was observed that the electrons in the gate insulator diffuse to a direction toward the source electrode and the holes were detrapped to out of the etch stopper. Also, we found that the potential profile in the a-IGZO bottom-gate TFT becomes complicatedly modulated during the positive $V_{GS}/V_{DS}$ stress and the recovery causing various threshold voltages and subthreshold swings under various read-out conditions, and this modulation needs to be fully considered in the design of oxide TFT-based active matrix organic light emitting diode display backplane.

일부 여자고등학생들의 학업스트레스와 절망감과의 관련성 (Relationship Between Academic Stress and Hopelessness Among Female High School Students)

  • 본 연구는 일부 여자고등학생들의 학업스트레스와 절망감과의 관련성을 파악하고자 시도하였다. 조사대상은 D광역시에 소재하고 있는 인문계 여자고등학교 학생 334명으로 하였으며, 조사는 2018년 8월 20일부터 9월 20일까지 구조화된 무기명 자기기입식 설문지를 이용한 설문조사에 의하였다. 연구결과, 조사대상자의 절망감 수준의 분포는 「정상범위군」 61.6%, 「경도 절망감군」 23.1%, 「중등도 절망감군」 12.9%, 「중증 절망감군」 2.4%이었다. 조사대상자의 절망감은 학업스트레스가 낮은 군보다 높은 군에서 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났으며(p=0.000), 학업스트레스와 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보였다(r=0.371, p<0.01). 로지스틱 회귀분석 결과, 절망감이 나타날 위험비는 학업스트레스 총점이 낮은 군에 비해 높은 군에서 9.27배 유의하게 증가하였다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 절망감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 학교생활에 대한 만족도, 부모와의 대화여부, 규칙적 식사 여부, 시험에 대한 스트레스, 공부에 대한 스트레스 및 진로에 대한 스트레스가 유의한 변수로 선정되었다. 이상과 같은 연구결과를 볼 때, 여자고등학생들의 절망감은 학업스트레스와 유의한 관련이 있음을 시사하고 있다. 따라서 학업스트레스 요인을 적절하게 통제할 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 및 운영이 필요하다고 본다.

보건교사의 차별인식과 직무스트레스와의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과 (Mediating Effect of Self-Esteem on the Relationship between Perceived Discrimination Occupational Stress of School Nurse)

  • Objectives: This study examined the relationship between discrimination perception and occupational stress of school nurses to verify the mediating effects of self-esteem on the relationship between the perception of discrimination and occupational stress. Methods: This study was a secondary analysis of the data collected by the Public Health Nurses Association of D city from regular school nurses working in elementary, middle, and high schools in September 2017. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 Statistics Program, and multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the effects of self-esteem on the relationship between the perception of discrimination and occupational stress. Results: The occupational stress of school nurses was higher with higher discrimination and lower self-esteem, and the moderating effects of self-esteem (β=-.152, p=.016) was confirmed between the perception of discrimination and occupational stress (F=30.117, p<.001). Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to prepare a method for managing occupational stress due to job demands of school nurses as well as organizational measures to reduce discrimination in organizations. In addition, efforts to develop various programs focusing on improving the self-esteem of school nurses are required.

MEMS용 PSG와 TEOS의 열처리에 따른 잔류응력의 측정 (Measurement of residual stress of TEOS and PSG for MEMS)

  • This paper investigates the residual stress of tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and 7wt% phosphosilicate glass (PSG), which are commonly used as a sacrificial layer or etch mask in the fabrication of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). In order to measure residual stress, $2{\mu}m$ thick TEOS and PSG stress measurement structures are fabricated. Polysilicon is used as the sacrificial layer. First the residual stress of an as-deposited 7wt% PSG flim and TEOS film are measured to be-0.3115% and -0.435%, respectively, which are quite large. These films are annealed from $500^{\circ}C$ to $800^{\circ}C$. Annealing has the effects of reducing residual stress. In the case of the 7wt% PSG film, the residual stress becomes +0.00715% after annealing at $625^{\circ}C$ for 150 minutes. In the case of TEOS film, the residual stress reduces to -0.2134% after same condition. Incidentally, this condition is the same condition for depositing a $2{\mu}m$ thick polysilicon at $625^{\circ}C$ at our low pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) furnace.

천연가스 수송용 API 5L-X65강 용접부의 부식거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stress Corrosion Behaviors in Welded Zone of the API 5L-X65 Steel for Natural Gas Transmission)

  • This study is on the constant-current stress corrosion test related to the load stress in welded zone and non-welded zone of high tensile strength steel for natural gas transmission. The surface corrosion pattern of the welded zone of API 5L-X65 specimens for natural gas transmission showed global corrosion and narrow pitting, and the pitting was increased by increasing the load stress. Initially, the average relative electrode potential and the average relative current of the high tensile strength steel for natural gas transmission specimens was decreased suddenly, and the average relative electrode potential was higher and the average relative current was lower in welded zone than base metal. and the average relative electrode potential was decreased by increasing the load stress, and the average relative current was somewhat increased by increasing the load stress. The corrosion rate was less in welded zone than base metal, and the corrosion rate was decreased by increasing the load stress.
