The objectives of this study are to consider about the research of a costume and a discussion about a system of costume by practical science scholar in the late period of Chosun Dynasty. The result are descrived as follows: 1. The purpose that practical sciellce scholars researched a costulne was not only the intellectual research but also to make a basis in order to reform a uncorrected costume's system. Their study had two point. The one was the investigating research about the origin and change of the costume. The other was the study about a formation of costume. 2. The practical science scholars determined the directions to reform a wrong costumes' system on the basis of the research about a costume. They had three directions. Those were a conservatism, a rationalism to think the realities of life and a reformation. 3. The practical science scholars' thinking was to pursue the origin form and the practical use. This two axis show the direction to improve our costulne's culture now a day.

This paper presents the improvement of the voltage profiles of power system networks by the inclusion of Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). The mathematical model of the UPFC is incorporated in the load flow algorithm and the L-index is calculated for the different values of the control parameter r $and{\gamma}$. The positioning of the UPFC device is changed to minimize the sum of the squares of the L-indices at all load buses. The test cases considered for the improvement of voltage profile with the WSCC 9-bus and IEEE 30 bus system. With the best position of UPFC along with the control parameters the improvement in voltage profile of the power system networks are obtained. The results obtained are quite encouraging compared with other techniques used to identify the best location of UPFC.

In this paper, we give answers to some interesting questions about a Confucian scholar and mathematician in the late Joseon Dynasty, CHOI Seok-Jeong(崔錫鼎, 1646-1715), who was inducted into the Science and Technology Hall of Fame (http://kast.or.kr/HALL) for his mathematical achievements in October, 2013. In particular, we discover that CHOI Seok-Jeong was able to devote his natural abilities and time to do research on mathematics, and that he frequently communicated with his friend and fellow scholar, LEE Se-Gu(李世龜, 1646-1700), who was an expert on the astronomical calendar and mathematics, based on at least 24 letters between the two.

Zingiber officinale is a spice which is having a strong historical medicinal background and used by different systems of medicine for various ailments. It is also used to maintain the characteristic sharpness and tangy essence of food and beverages and used in carbonated drinks, as a conserve in sugar syrup. Ginger considered as an incredible drug for inflammation, gastrointestinal problems, pain and sexual problems since centuries. There are many studies carried out in recent years, which proves that the active constituents of ginger shows a variety of pharmacological effects like antiemetic, hepatoprotective, anti hyperlipidemic and antibacterial. The most momentous among all the nutraceutical aspects of ginger are its positive control on gastrointestinal tract including digestive stimulant action, anticancer effect and anti-inflammatory effect.
