As the complexity of engineering design environment has been increased, it becomes difficult to exchange design data among design support systems. The purpose of this paper is to develop the XML-based Generalized Mechanical Data Exchange Formats(GMDEF) independent of specific mechanical element and to improve the interoperability of them using ontology, in order to integrate diverse design data and facilitate communication between design support systems. GMDEF consists of PartDoc and AssemblyDoc. PartDoc represents the information of a single part. AssemblyDoc represents the relation of parts composing an assembly. GMDEF is validated by GMDEF Schema. GMDEF Schema consists of separated XML Schemas and has flexible architecture to facilitate extension. The ontology is applied to GMDEF Schema to share and reuse vocabularies of specific mechanical elements.

As the complexity of engineering design environment has increased, it is difficult to exchange design data among design support systems. The purpose of this paper is to develop the XML-based Generalized Mechanical Data Exchange Formats(GMDEF) independent of specific mechanical element and improve the interoperability of them using ontology, in order to integrate diverse design data and facilitate communication between design support systems. GMDEF consists of PartDoc and AssemblyDoc. PartDoc represents the information of a single part. AssemblyDoc represents the relation of parts constituting an assembly. GMDEF is validated by GMDEF Schema. GMDEF Schema consists of separated XML Schemas and has flexible architecture to facilitate extension. We apply ontology to GMDEF Schema to share and reuse vocabularies of specific mechanical elements.
In this paper, a power electronic converter which is composed of two converters - bidirectional AC/DC converter and Series Active Power Filter (SAPF), is discussed. Structural schemas and ways of operation of control systems of converters, which are used to eliminate non sinusoidal parts of the network source voltage, are presented. At the same time, the control used stabilizes the value of the voltage feeding the load. Taking in consideration the combined functions which the device executes, it may be called Unified Voltage Conditioner - UVC.
The MPEG user description (MPEG-UD) which is a standard under exploration to ensure interoperability among customized recommendation services has been contributed since MPEG $104^{th}$ meeting at 2013. Twenty-two use cases that were divided into different applications have been proposed in the MEPG meetings. Most of use cases were referred to specific and restricted regarding to applications, it appears to miss an overall and explicit infra-structure. In this paper we describe a reference model, namely methodology to overcome aforementioned problems. Thereafter, we have applied reference model to context-based recommendation system to demonstrate the methodology and MPEG-UD schemas. In addition, we propose a development process of recommendation system in compliance with MPEG-UD.
XML documents found over internet are generally fairly irregular and hove no fixed schema, The SQL and OQL are not suitable for query processing in XML documents, So, there are many researches about schema extraction and query language for XML documents, We propose a schema extraction method using the frequency of label path in XML documents, Our proposed method produces multi-level schemas and those are useful for query processing.
This paper introduces the behavior-based learning controller for mobile robot using topological map. When the mobile robot navigates to the goal position, it utilizes given information of topological map and its location. Under navigating in unknown environment, the robot classifies its situation using ultrasonic sensor data, and calculates each motor schema multiplied by respective gain for all behaviors, and then takes an action according to the vector sum of all the motor schemas. After an action, the information of the robot's location in given topological map is incorporated to the learning module to adapt the weights of the neural network for gain learning. As a result of simulation, the robot navigates to the goal position successfully after iterative gain learning with topological information.
An increasing in quantity of multimedia data brought a new problem that expected data should be retrieved fast and exactly. The adequate representation is a key element for the efficient retrieval. For this reason, MPEG-7 standard was established for description of multimedia data in 2001. In this paper, we designed a Audio/Image Retrieval System based on MPEG-7 that can retrieve multimedia data like audio, image efficiently. And we integrated high-level and low-level schemas to retrieve datas for users.

An EVSE and the EV exchange XML formatted communication messages with each other, whose structure is described by the V2G CI schema in the ISO/IEC 15118 international standard, and the EVSE and the power grid exchange messages based on SCL file with each other, whose structure is described by SCL schema in the IEC 61850 international standard. Because XML files can be restructured by XSLT, V2G messages can be transformed to/from SCL files using XSLT. In this study, the two schemas are analyzed and compared in order for the restructuring of the two differently structured XML instances. As a result, two XSL scripts can be produced for the transformation between XML files conforming ISO/IEC 15118 V2G CI schema and IEC 61850 SCL schema respectively to avoid manual data mapping which can happen in every application development cases.

Ontologies are being used in order to define common vocabularies to describe the elements of schemas involved in a particular application. The problem of finding correspondences between ontologies concepts, called ontology matching, consists in the discovery of correspondences between terms of vocabularies (represented by ontologies) used by various applications. The majority of solutions proposed in the literature, despite being fully automatic, has heuristic nature and may produce nonsatisfactory results. The problem intensifies when dealing with large data sources. The goal of this paper is to propose a method for generation and incremental refinement of correspondences between ontologies. The proposed approach uses filtering techniques, as well as user feedback to support the generation and refinement of such matches. For validation purposes, a tool was developed and some experiments were conducted.
The work-order performs an important role in make-to-order production. The development of work-order system in this production is more complex than work-order system in planing production. To construct work-order system, load of directors for work-order must be decreased, and production management between scheduling of master plan and current workshop conditions must be considered. In this study, we grasped troubles in present work-order system and flows of information for work order. Using these results are made database schemas and data flow diagrams for effective development of work-order system. And then, for successful establishment of work-order system and actual use of directors, we considered systematic and easy user-interface. For a case study, development procedures of work-order system are presented for plant factory.
