The 'Heuktari', a new mid-high temperature adaptable variety of oyster mushroom for the bottle culture, was bred by mating with monokaryons isolated from 'P11056' and 'MT07156'. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was $23{\sim}26^{\circ}C$ on PDA medium and that for the primordia formation and the growth of fruiting body of 'Heuktari' was $18{\sim}19^{\circ}C$ on sawdust substrate. In case of bottle cultivation, the period of mycelial growth was required about 30 days. In addition, the period of primordia formation and growth of fruiting body was 4 days and 5 days, respectively. In the characteristics of fruiting body, shape and color of pilei were round type and dark grayish brown, stipe color was white color and stipe shape was short and thick. The yield of fruiting bodies was 180 g/900 ml bottle which was 15% higher than that of Suhan-1ho. The gumminess and brittleness of stipe tissue were 110% and 140% stronger than those of Suhan-1ho, respectively.
In Korea, oyster mushroom is one of the commonly cultivated mushrooms. In 2013, the cultivation areas and products of oyster mushrooms were 60,039 M/T and 201 ha, respectively. Many species of oyster mushrooms are cultivated in various countries. These include Pleurotus ostreatus, P. florida, P. sajor-caju, P. eryngii, P. citrinopileatus, P. salmoneostramineus and P. cystidiosus. P. citrinopileatus is a yellow oyster mushroom famous for its health benefits such as anti-cancer and anti-oxidant effects. Therefore, a cultivar P. citrinopileatus 'Jangdari' was developed to improve yield and the ability to grow well at lower temperatures. Two parent strains 'Gumbit (KMCC02150)' and 'KMCC02145' were selected based on their morphological characteristics. 'Jangdari' was developed by the method of Mon-Mon crossing between monokaryons derived from 'Gumbit' and 'KMCC02145', and finally selected through continuous cultivation tests. The optimum temperature for mycelial growth was $30^{\circ}C$. The cultivar could grow well at high temperatures, especially $16{\sim}24^{\circ}C$. Fruiting body production per bottle (850 mL) was about 90.0 g. Stipe length and thickness of 'Jangdari' were similar to those of 'Gumbit'. 'Jangdari' was more resistant to low temperature than 'Gumbit', and thus it could be cultivated with oyster mushrooms (P. ostreatus). In addition, while cultivating 'Jangdari', it is not required to scrape out the upper side of bottle's sawdust medium; hence, its cultivation is expected to save energy and time.
The study has been carried out to invetigate the possibility of oak mushroom (shiitake) cultivation on Ban Oak (Quercus incana) growing naturally in Simlaregion, India. The survival and growth of oak mushroom mycelium and fruit body formation on Q. incana as well as the composition of the log were compared with that of Bristle-tooth oak (Q. serrata) which are being used for mushroom cultivation in Korea. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The content of alcohol-benzen extract, NaOH extract, NaOH extract and ash were higher in Q. incana than in Q. Serrata. While cellulose and pentosan were less in the formers. 2. The mycelial growth of oak mushroom were more rapid on sawdust medium of Q. Serrata than on Q. incana. However the mycelial growth on the later were more compact. 3. The mycelial growth of oak mushroom were more rapid on the logs of Q. serrata than Q. incana. The mycelium survived well on both two species, and no difference in the survival rate of mycelium were observed. 4. The first fruit bodies on logs of Q. Serrata and Q. incana were appeared 16 months inoculation of spawn. 5. In view of the above results. it seems that the cultivation of oak mushroom (shiitake) on Ban oak (Q. incana), growing in India, is possible.
Jinbudlsongyi mushroom (Agrocybe aegerita) was bred in Mushroom Research Institute, Gyonggi Province A.R.E.S in 2005. It was bred with mating between moookarytic strains isolated from Budlsongyi#1 and KME45202. The temperature of optimal mycelial growth was $24{\sim}26^{\circ}C$ on PDA and $18{\sim}20^{\circ}C$ in sawdust medium. To harvest fruiting body of Jiobudlsoogyi the period required for colonization after inoculation was 37days and the period of cultivation was 13days after scratching of inoculum. The major characteristics of the mushroom was shown a lot of primordia, light brown colored stipe and convex-shaped pileus. Compared with Budlsongyi#1, it was shown dark brown-colored pileus and straight stipe. The fruiting body yield was $115g{\pm}6/850cc$ bottle. It was demanded proper circulation at the time of primordia and put it around with cloth that is prevented to be bend the stipes.
Pleurotus pulmonarius usually grows on the dead wood of deciduous trees from mid summer to early fall. Cultivation of this mushroom is recently increasing due to its good flavour and fragrance. This study was conducted to find out the favorable substrate formulation in the bottle and bag cultivation of P. pulmonarius. The V formulation (10 : 50 : 20 : 20 mixing ratio of poplar sawdust, cottonseed hull, cottonseed meal and beet pulp) showed the fastest mycelial growth in the test tube column medium and highest yields in both bottle cultivation and bag cultivation. Those chemical conditions were pH 5.52, 29.07% organic matter contents, 1.12% total nitrogen, 25.95 OM/N ratio, 0.16% CaO, 0.51% $K_2O$, 0.17 MgO and 0.26 $P_2O_5$.

Timing, place, and the high-tech industry to overcome barriers to the introduct of the so-called "smart agriculture". The core factors of precision agriculture, including temperature, humidity, location information, and real summary information, are all significant for ICT controlling technique. The system is a four-season container allowing mushroom product, humidity, illumination, and factors such as carbon dioxide were regulated to create the optimal environment for mushroom cultivation. Hericium erinaceum (also called Lion's Mane Mushroom, Bearded Tooth Mushroom, or Bearded Tooth Fungus) is an edible and medicinal mushroom in the tooth fungus group. During approximately 40 days of incubation, 1.4 kg of oak sawdust was used as the test medium. The humidity, temperature, and $CO_2$ density were maintained at >85-95%, $18-20^{\circ}C$, and 700-1,000 ppm, respectively, in the container type culture system. The time for primordium formation was observed to be 4-7 days. The amount of fruitbody production was 74-95 g per bag. This technique will be used to establish a new community support program, in conjunction with international movement, domestic sales and exports are also planned.
A filamentous microorganism, strain FJ1, was isolated from completely rotten wood for the production of cellulolytic enzymes. For the production of the enzymes, cellulolsic wastes were used as carbon sources of strain FJ1 and rice straw showed higher enzyme activities than sawdust and pulp. The activities of CMCase, xylanase, $\beta$-glucosidase, and avicelase were 2.95, 5.89, 0.45, and 0.12 unit/ml by use of rice straw, respectively. To enhance production of the enzymes, the mixture substrate of rice straw and cellulosic materials were investigated as carbon sources. The highest activities of CMCase, $\beta$-glucosidase, and avicelase were found in the mixture of rice straw (0.5%, w/v) and avicel (0.5%, w/v), and the highest xylanase was obtained at the mixture ratio of 0.71%(w/v) and 0.29%(w/v). Addition of 0.1%(w/v) peptone showed enhanced production of the cellulolytic enzymes in which the activities of CMCase, xylanase, $\beta$-glucosidase, and avicelase were 19.23, 27.18, 1.28, and 0.53 unit/ml, respectively. The production of the enzymes using rice straw was efficiently induced in the presence of avicel and pulp containing cellulose. In particular, a medium composed of rice straw (0.5%, w/v) and pulp (0.5%, w/v) yielded larger cellulolytic enzymes: CMCase 24.3 unit/ml, xylanase 38.7 unit/ml, $\beta$-glucosidase 1.5 unit/ml, and avicelase 0.6 unit/ml. The filamentous microorganism, strain FJ1 utilized various cellulosic wastes as carbon sources and will be expected as a favorable candidate for biological saccharification of cellulosic wastes.
'Sootari', a new variety of oyster mushroom, was bred by mating with monokaryons isolated from 'Suhan' and 'Gonji-7ho'. The optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was $20{\sim}25^{\circ}C$ on PDA medium and those for the primordia formation and growth of fruiting body of 'Sootari' were $16{\sim}18^{\circ}C$ on sawdust substrate. In bottle cultivation, mycelial growth required about 25 days. In addition, primordia formation and growth of fruiting body required 4 days each. Regarding characteristics of the fruiting body, the shape and color of pileus were round type and black, respectively, and stipe color and shape were white and short and thin, respectively. The yield of fruiting bodies was $131.3{\pm}26.0g$ per 1,100 mL bottle, which was 2% higher than that of Gonji-7ho.

Interspecific fusion products were obtained from fusion of Ganoderma applanatum and Ganoderma luridum. Frequency of fusion was 0.77-1.38%. Fusion products were selected by the comparision of morphology and color of colony. Fusion Products had chracteristics of two parental strains and generally grew faster than the parents. Some fusants were segregated on GCM. Fusion products were confirmed by mycelial morphology and electrophoretics pattern of esterase isozyme from mycelium. Most of fusion products were lack in clamp connection but those fusion products, that were segregated produced mycelium with and without clamp connection. Some of the fusion products produced fruit body on sawdust medium.
Thirteen strains or crosses of Lentinus edodes obtained from home and abroad were compared for their mycelial characteristics on artificial media. Eleven of them were selected and inoculated on logs in order to study for their productivity, and the morphological characteristics of the mushrooms were investigated. 1) Seven strains, i. e., 11001, 12001, 13005, 13012, 13015, 12004 and 20101 were grown well on the sawdust medium. 2) The best mycelial growth and establishment of infection on logs were obtained from strains 20101 and 11001. 3) The highest yield of the mushrooms on logs during the six year periods were obtained from strains 11001, 12001 and 20101. 4) The highest yield of the mushrooms usually was obtained on the fourth year after inoculation. 5) The fruit body productivity in terms of dry weight recovery was the highest in strains 13005 and 20101. 6) The most productive period of the mushrooms during the years depended on strains. Most prevalent types of the strains were summer and autumn growing types, and more mushrooms were produced during these periods. 7) Morphological characteristics of the mushroom were more or less dependent on environmental conditions. 8) Thicker fruit bodies and relatively uniform shapes of the mushroom were produced by strain 20101.
