임상간호사의 학습민첩성, 그릿, 긍정심리자본이 간호업무성과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Learning Agility, Grit, and Positive Psychological Capital on the Performance of Clinical Nurses)

  • Purpose: The goals of this study were to identify the relationships among learning agility, grit, positive psychological capital, and nursing performance and to determine the impact of these factors on clinical nursing performance. Methods: Between November and December 2021, a descriptive survey design was conducted with a convenience sample of 260 clinical nurse participants from two regional hospitals. Data were collected using the Learning Agility Scale, Grit Scale, Psychological Capital Questionnaire, and the Nursing Performance Scale. Data from 248 nurses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation, and multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 27.0. Results: Results revealed significant positive correlations between nursing performance and learning agility, grit, and positive psychological capital. Stepwise multiple regression analysis identified positive psychological capital as the strongest predictor of nursing performance, followed by work experience, learning agility, grit, and educational level. These variables accounted for 51% of the variance in nursing performance. Conclusion: This study underscored the importance of positive psychological capital, learning agility, and grit in improving nursing performance. Healthcare organizations should prioritize the development of these attributes among nurses. Implementing strategies to enhance these factors in nursing practice and education could improve nursing performance, potentially resulting in better patient outcomes and increased job satisfaction. Future research should explore specific interventions to cultivate these qualities and assess their long-term impact on nursing practice.

간호대학생의 환자안전에 대한 태도와 환자안전관리활동 (The Attitude of Patient Safety and Patient Safety Management Activity in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 환자안전에 대한 태도와 환자안전관리활동 정도를 확인하고 환자안전관리활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 G시와 J도에 소재한 3개 대학에서 1년 이상 임상실습 경험이 있는 4학년 간호대학생 241명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 2015년 3월 27일부터 4월 17일까지 설문조사를 하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여, 기술통계, t-test, one way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 환자안전에 대한 태도는 3.68점, 환자안전관리활동은 4.03점이었으며, 환자안전관리활동은 임상실습기간(p=.020)과 임상실습만족도(p=.026)에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었고, 환자안전에 대한 태도와 환자안전관리활동은 유의한 양의 상관관계가 있었다(p<.001). 대상자의 환자안전관리활동에 영향을 미치는 요인은 임상실습만족도, 환자안전에 대한 태도 순이었다. 본 연구를 기초로 하여 간호대학생의 환자안전관리활동 영향요인을 고려한 체계적인 교육프로그램 개발이 요구된다.

인간작업모델(MOHO)에 대한 국내 작업치료사의 인식도와 필요성에 대한 연구 (Recognition by Occupational Therapists in Korea of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) and Its Necessity)

  • Purpose : The study aim was to determine the present state of occupational therapists in Korea in terms of the Model of Human Occupation (MOHO). We collected basic data for future research by investigating recognition by occupational therapists for applications of the MOHO and the necessity thereof. Specifically, we explored ways to effectively apply the MOHO in occupational therapy. Methods : We conducted a study from December 3, 2023, to January 18, 2024. A survey was administered to 163 occupational therapists. The general characteristics, recognition, and necessity of the MOHO were examined using a frequency analysis and descriptive statistics. Results : The most responses to "degree of ease of access to the MOHO information" were for "disagree" 56 people(34 %). Regarding "degree of satisfaction with information about [the] MOHO," 53 people (33 %) responded with "disagree" (the highest response rate). Only 22 % had applied the MOHO previously. Second, occupational therapists thought that the MOHO should be applied in occupational therapy clinical practice; they also believed that related education was needed for occupational therapy university/college students and occupational therapists. In response to the question, "What channels do you think MOHO education will be helpful for?", 118 people (32 %) answered "continuing education at the association level," and 86 people (23 %) answered "educational institutions aimed at MOHO." Conclusion : Based on these results, I recommend the following. For application of the MOHO in occupational therapy clinical practice, an occupation-based concept must first be established. In addition, related knowledge must be acquired through the expansion of education regarding the MOHO. The efficient application of the MOHO will ultimately lead to improvement in the health of clients.

치과위생사의 직무만족도와 환자안전문화 활동의 관련성 (Relationship between job satisfaction of dental hygienists and patient safety cultural activities)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 치과위생사를 대상으로 직무만족도와 환자안전문화 활동 수준을 파악하고 직무만족도와 환자안전문화 활동의 관련성을 파악하기 위하여 수행하였다. 연구방법: 치과위생사 214명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며 최종 180명의 자료를 분석하였다. 직무만족도는 총 20개 문항으로 구성되었으며 환자안전문화 활동 문항은 총 25개로 안전문화활동 10개, 안전시설관리 1개, 진료전달체계 5개, 질관리 2개, 감염관리 4개, 방사선 안전관리 3개로 구성하였다. 설문은 5점 척도로 하였다. 연구결과: 연구대상의 직무만족도 평균점수는 3.44점이었으며 점수가 가장 낮은 문항은 '내 능력에 비해 업무량은 많은 편이다(2.78점)'와 '나는 업무수행 시 업무 외의 일이 없는 것에 만족한다(2.78점)'이었다. 환자안전문화 활동 6개 영역 중 감염관리의 평균점수가 4.12점으로 가장 높고 방사선 안전관리의 평균점수는 3.10점으로 가장 낮았다. 임상경력이 3년 미만인 경우(4.01점)에 3년 이상 10년 미만 그룹(3.72점)과 10년 이상인 그룹(3.69점)에 비해 환자안전문화활동 점수가 높았으며 연령이 높아질수록, 임상경력이 적을수록, 직무만족도가 높을수록 환자안전문화 활동 수준이 통계적으로 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 결론: 치과위생사의 경우는 업무 전반에서 환자안전문화 활동이 이뤄져야 하기 때문에 환자안전문화 활동 영역에 대한 적극적인 실천 의지와 필요하지만 환자진료에서 병원관리까지 다양한 업무를 맡고 있는 치과위생사는 업무과중으로 인해 직무만족도가 떨어지고 업무수행의지를 저하시켜 환자안전문화 활동에도 부정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 환자안전문화 활동 수행도 향상을 위해서는 환자안전문화 활동의 핵심 직종인 치과위생사의 직무만족도 향상에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 직무환경 개선에도 관심을 가져야 할 것이다.

치위생과 학생의 현장임상실습교육에 관한 교수효율성 (Teaching Efficiency of Clinical Practice Education for Students in the Department of Dental Hygiene)

  • 본 연구에서는 경기도 지역 치위생과 학생들의 현장임상실습교육에 있어 교수효율성을 파악하기 위하여 2010년 4월 12일부터 4월 26일까지 경기도에 소재한 7개 대학의 치위생과 3학년 학생 371명을 대상으로 자기기입식 설문법을 실시하였으며, SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 치위생과 학생의 임상실습교육 교수효율성은 '중' 정도인 것으로 나타났고, 교수효율성 요인에 대한 평가는 역할모델 요인이 3.40점으로 가장 높았다. 2. 임상실습기관 규모에 따른 교수효율성은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었고, 교수효율성 하위영역에서는 전문적 지식요인이 대학병원에서 가장 높았고, 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다(p=.005). 3. 치위생 전공만족도에 따른 교수효율성은 전공만족도가 높을수록 교수효율성이 높았고(p=.001), 교수효율성 하위영역에서는 대인 관계술, 원조자로서의 기능, 공정한 평가, 교과에 대한 조직력(p=.005), 격려와 지지, 교수법, 교과에 대한 전문적 지식(p=.001), 의사소통술, 좋은 역할모델, 치과직원과의 협조(p=.000)에서 통계적으로 유의하였다. 4. 현장임상실습 교수유형에 따른 교수효율성은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었고, 교수효율성 하위 영역에서는 격려와 지지 항목에서만 통계적으로 유의하였다(p=.005). 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 현장임상실습교육에 관한 교수효율성은 '중' 정도인 것으로 나타났고, 전공만족도가 높을수록 교수효율성이 높음을 알 수 있으므로, 교수효율성을 높이기 위해서는 다양한 교수법 및 체계적인 실습프로그램이 개발되어 임상실습교육의 질을 높여야 할 것이다.

인공와우이식 환아의 보호자를 위한 교육프로그램 개발 (An Educational Program Development for the Children's Guardian with Cochlear Implants)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to develop an educational program for the children's guardian with cochlear implants in order to provide knowledge and information about cochlear implants. Methods: The educational program was developed based on a literature review, potentially relevant website analysis, and validation by an expert group. Two out of twenty-two educational items under four domains that had item-level content validity index (CVI) greater than 0.8 by the ten experts were finally selected and used. After the children's guardian participated in this educational activity through a specially designed booklet and DVD, the effectiveness of the program was evaluated. Results: A total of 8 children's guardian participated in the program. Their knowledge levels significantly increased after participating the program (mean $15.0{\pm}3.02$ vs. $19.0{\pm}0.93$, Z= 2.371, p=.018). Satisfaction levels with the program was high, $4.1{\pm}0.87$ out of 5. Conclusion: This newly developed educational program for the children's guardian with cochlear implants is proved to be effective and can be used in nursing practice. In addition, the participants seemed to be satisfied with the program. Furthermore, this program may also improve the effects of adult with cochlear implants.

Experience in Using Peer-to-Peer Platforms and Immersive Technologies in the Training of Future Masters of Pharmacy in Medical Lyceum

  • The present study has been conducted to evaluate the experience in using peer-to-peer platforms and immersive technologies in the training of future masters of pharmacy from the Pharmaceutical Faculty of Bogomolets National Medical University, Ukraine. The selected participants were given the pre- and post-test containing multiple choice questions to assess the effectiveness of immersive technologies. Further, a self-designed structured questionnaire contained 10 questions with 5 options was delivered to consented participants through email and WhatsApp. The results of test presented that students attained an average of 26% in their pre-test while the average attained score post-test was 74% that showed a significant improvement with peer-to-peer platforms and virtual reality technology. The results of survey questions also showed an overall 86.73% satisfaction for the use of peer-to-peer platforms and virtual reality technology in the training of future masters of pharmacy. These results demonstrated that 90.81% showed agreement that they gained a high level of confidence through peer-to-peer platforms and virtual reality to handle patients in clinical practice. It can be concluded that participants of this study showed a strong agreement with positive experience in using peer-to-peer platforms and virtual reality technology in the training of future masters of pharmacy in medical lyceum.

질 향상 활동성과에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors associated with the Degree of Quality Improvement Performance)

  • This study was conducted to assess factors associated with the degree of performance of qualify improvement(QI) activities. A mailed questionnaire survey was conducted between September 15 and October 30, 2000, with the staffs being charge of QI at each of the hospitals with 400 beds or greater. Of the 108 hospitals eligible for inclusion in our study, 79 participated, yielding a response rate of 73.1%. After excluding 12 hospitals that did not perform any QI activities, 117 responses from 67 hospitals were used for the analysis. Using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria(MBNQAC), perceived performance of QI was measured in terms of the improvement of the quality of clinical practice, clinical supporting department, administrative procedure of receiving care, customer satisfaction, efficiency and standardization of work process. Factors evaluated for the association were the extent of QI implementation, compliance to 5 QI principles, participation of hospital CEOs, budget allocation, history of QI, and bed size. Path analysis was performed to assess the relationship between QI performance and these factors. Major findings of this study are as follows. Hospitals showing higher degree of QI implementation (path coefficient=0.5967, p<0.001)) and better compliance with the basic principes of QI(0.5736, p<0.05) tended to achieve better performance. Path analysis results showed that interest and participation of hospital CEOs(0.1954, p<0.05) and compliance with the basic principes of QI(0.4028, p<0.0001) indirectly affected the outcomes of QI by influencing the intermediate variable of the level of QI implementation. This study results suggest that having employees have a good orientation of the basic concept and principes of QI through relevant training be the most important requirement to achieve better outcomes from QI activities. In addition, to educate leaders of hospitals the need of active implementation of QI is important to encourage their participation and draw strong support for QI programs.

Effects of Simulation-based Learning on Stress, Problem Solving Ability, Self-Efficacy, and Resilience of College Nursing Students

  • Objectives: The objective of this study was to explore the effects of the simulation-based learning program on stress, problem-solving ability, self-efficacy, and resilience of final-year nursing students in a college in South Korea. Methods: The design of the study was a one-group pretest-posttest. The participants of this study were final-year nursing students in 2018. A total of 105 students completed it. The intervention was an 8-week simulation-based practice course. The primary and secondary outcome measures were baseline and follow-up questionnaires regarding demographic factors, stress, problem-solving ability, self-efficacy, and resilience. Results: Problem-solving ability (t=6.567, p<.001), self-efficacy in four situations (p<.001) and resilience (t=2.352, p=.021) increased after simulation-based learning than before learning. Stress also increased after simulation-based learning compared to before learning (t=5.960, p<.001). The level of stress, self-efficacy, and resilience were mainly related to participants' satisfaction with their clinical placement, and interpersonal relationships (p<.05). Conclusions: Simulation-based learning is expected to improve nursing students' problem-solving ability, self-efficacy, and resilience. This can lead to induce learning motivation of nursing students, improve their coping strategies for solving problems, and ultimately provide high-quality care.

전국민을 대상으로 한 한의원과 한방병원 외래이용환자의 이용실태 및 특성비교연구 - 2011년 한방의료이용 및 한약소비실태조사 보고서(보건복지부)중 이용환자의 질병치료방법 및 치료효과를 중심으로 - (Nationwide Study on the Usage and Characteristics of Patients Visiting Korean Medical Facilities - Based on the Treatment of Major Disorders, Effectiveness, Satisfaction and Occurrence Rate of Side Effects From the Ministry of Welfares Report on Usage and Consumption of Korean Medicine in 2011 -)

  • A survey conducted on 1,103 patients or caretakers visited Korean medical clinics and hospitals between August 25, 2011 to September 30, 2011 by the Ministry of Health and Welfares and Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs was analyzed and obtained following results: 1. For sociodemographic distribution, female(813) outnumbered male(290) patients with majority of patients ranging from 30s to 60s. Married patients(793) outnumbered unwed(150) patients and 65.0% with higher than high school education. Statistical significance was seen in gender, age, marital status, and education level but no significant difference for status of employment, income level, and types of insurance between the clinics and hospitals. (P<0.05). 45.1% had less than \2,000,000 in monthly salary and most of coverage was provided by either regional or work insurance. 2. 67.9% of the patients rated health conditions to be better than average and 32.1% listed as poor. People in good health showed tendency to visit Korean medical facilities. Musculo-skeletal conditions such as arthritis, ankle sprain, lumbago, muscular injury, and frozen shoulder were common conditions, followed by gastric disorders, common cold and herbal tonics. No significant difference was observed between the clinics and hospitals for above conditions, but significance was seen in atopic dermatitis, stroke, and sequela from traffic accidents (P<0.05). 3. Ten most common conditions addressed at Korean medical facilities were lumbago, arthritis, muscular injury, back sprain, gastric disorders, ankle sprain, common cold, herbal tonics, frozen shoulder and stroke. Major treatment modalities rendered were herbal medicine, herbal supplements, acupuncture and moxibustion, cupping, tuina, and Korean midical physical therapy. No significant difference existed between the clinics and hospitals. 4. All modalities showed at least 85% effectiveness. No statistical significant difference between the clinics and hospitals except for herbal decoction. (P=0.0452) 5. 88.3% of responses showed treatment satisfaction with significant difference between the clinics and hospitals (P=0.002). The occurrence of side effects was at 2%, mostly corning from treating digestive, skin, kidney disorders and neurological issues. No significant difference was observed between the clinics and hospitals. From the above results, the typical population visiting Korean medical facilities can be summarized as being middle aged female with relatively higher education and moderately low income. The health condition is generally good and the purpose of visit is to receive traditional treatments of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and physical therapy. Treatment efficacy and satisfaction were high with no significant differences between the clinics and hospitals.
