Wastewater process models are the essential tools for understanding relevant aspects of wastewater treatment system. Wastewater process modeling provides more options for upgrades and better understanding of new plant design, as well as improvements of operational controls. The software packages (BioWin, GPS-X, Aqua designer, etc) solve a series of simulated equations simultaneously in order to propose several solutions for a specific facility. Research and implementation of wastewater process modeling in combination with computational fluid dynamics enable testing for improvements of flow characteristics for WWTP and at the same time exam biological, physical, and chemical characteristics of the flow. Application of WWTP models requires broad knowledge of the process and expertise in modeling. Therefore, an efficient and good modeling practice requires both experience and set of proper guidelines as a background.
Purpose: Purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting the performance of hand hygiene by parents of hospitalized infants. Methods: The study was conducted with 209 parents of hospitalized infants from one hospital in Changwon. Data were collected from June through August, 2014 and analyzed using SPSS Win 18.0 program. Results: There were positive correlations between performance of hand hygiene and perceptions of sanitary formula bottle (r=.586, p<.001), attitude to hand hygiene (r=.438, p<.001), and knowledge of hand hygiene (r=.405, p<.001) and between parent efficacy and perceptions of sanitary formula bottle (r=.572, p<.001). Awareness of perceptions of sanitary formula bottle (${\beta}$=.308, p<.001), parent efficacy (${\beta}$=.281, p<.001) and hand hygiene attitude (${\beta}$=.207, p<.001) were significant predictors of hand hygiene performance and explained 46.1% of the variance. Conclusion: To increase infection control medical institutions should provide education on hand hygiene and training for parents of hospitalized infants. In order to enhance the performance of hand hygiene, it is necessary to develop and apply nursing programs for hospitalized infants that include hand hygiene attitude, maintenance of the sanitary formula bottle and parent efficacy.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the knowledge on nutrition, meal management and dietary intake of self-boarding highschool students. Total of 354 self-boarding students living in Ku-mi and Kim-chon, 182 males and 172 females, who cooks foods for oneself participated in this study. The data were collected through questionnaires and the results were summarized as follows: 1. Most subjects had adapted the lifestyle of self-boarding from the 1st grade of highschool, and half of them lived alone. About two-thirds of subjects visited their home once a week or more, and most of their boarding rooms were located at near the highschool they attended. 2. Their nutrition knowledge score was rather high with average 13.95 point out of possible 20. Female students got more points than male students. 3. In meal management, foods purchasing and sanitary control were managed quite well but meal planning and cooking were not managed well enough. In general, meal management score of female students were higher than those of male students. 4. About the dietary intake, female students took more various foods than male students as judged by foods intake frequency score. Two-thirds of subjects often skipped meals and only half of them always took boxed lunch. Also they depended too much upon processed and instant foods. 5. Meal management score showed significantly positive correlations with nutrition knowledge score and with foods intake frequency score. But the correlation between nutrition knowledge score and foods intake frequency score was not significant.
The present study was conducted on 200 food handlers employed at restaurants with open-kitchens in Seoul to evaluate their food sanitation knowledge levels and practices. A majority of participants (88%) replied that open-kitchens are more hygienic than common kitchens due to the sanitary cooking process. The correct answer rate was 94.3% for sanitation of instruments and utensils and environmental sanitation, whereas food handling sanitation (66.8%) was ranked at the bottom among food sanitation knowledge. Total scores of food sanitation knowledge were significantly influenced by education level and ages of food handlers (p<0.001). Personal hygiene knowledge level of food handlers regarding institutional food service was higher than that of food handlers at restaurants and bakeries (p<0.001). Food sanitation practices scores showed significant differences in personal hygiene (p<0.001) and environmental sanitation (p<0.05) according to certificate possession. As the result of correlation analysis between food sanitation knowledge and practices, there was no significantly positive correlation, whereas a significant positive correlation was observed between knowledge of food handling and personal hygiene practices (p<0.05). The results show need for improvement in both knowledge and practice levels of open-kitchen food handlers. Consistent and customized food sanitation education program should be developed to protect against food poisoning at open-kitchen restaurants.
This study was conducted to develop a system that processes harmful gases and dust, which being generated in the production of micro-inorganic fabric. This can be obtained by melt spinning raw materials such as agalmatolite, fluorspar, limestone, silica under high temperature at $1500-1600^{\circ}C$ in a glass recuperator using a dry method by Cyclone Reactor or Envelope Type (ET) type Bag Filter. If the number of the members of Korea Glass Industry Association reaches up to 45, the damage of the harmful gas being generated in recuperator should not be small. In addition, research of existing facilities showed the most of harmful gas treatment facilities which adopt wet treatment or semi-dry treatment process. This was caused the problems for wastewater and the second pollutive materials. Moreover, in the dust collecting facility behind recuperator, it is also problematic that electric dust collector requires enormous initial investment. We have researched various methods to show both economic and efficient new processes for the preventive facilities of recuperator. As the result of the experiments, the removal efficiencies of HF and SOx were 99% and 87%, respectively. Although it was insignificant reaction, a pretty much interesting result that NOx showed an absorption reaction with $Ca(OH)_2$(removal efficiency was more than 25%) was obtained.
Teachers who are responsible for children's education are very important to help the school age children to have right nutrition knowledge, they are confronted with difficulties to teach due to the lack of nutrition knowledge as well as materials that can be easily understood by children. The purpose of this study was to look into the basic knowledge of elementary school teachers on nutrition. The elementary school teachers investigated didn't get good marks in nutritional knowledge, food and cooking method knowledge and sanitary knowledge, as the collective averages in those areas were respectively $56.08{\pm}14.80$, $60.52{\pm}10.95$, and $45.25{\pm}16.13$. Sixty seven percent of respondents the largest group, acquired nutritional information through mass media, but they wanted to be given teaching information in the form of educational materials(49.0%). More than 70 percent believed that nutrition should be educated by nutrition teachers (p<0.01), and as for what should be handled in nutrition education, they thought that students should be educated to build the right eating habits (59.5%). Based on the results, a sequential nutrition education program for the lower grades of school children was developed. This program consisted of five different categories, and according to the results, that was designed to deal with the knowledge of teachers on nutrition, food, cooking method and hygiene, table manners and food-borne illness.

Therefore, this study is to specifically demonstrate the followings through interviews with the customers who have armoatherapy: What effect customers' knowledge on aromatherapy, frequency of use, expenses, experiences of side-effects, and perception on its effect on skin care will have on customer satisfaction and intention to reuse the service. The results are presented as follows: Though customers' perception on aroma is high, they usually use it only on their faces. So is should be promoted in various ways. It is demonstrated that customers' satisfaction has a significant effect on their intention to reuse it.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the consciousness and behavior for environmental problems of university student and the necessity of schooling for environmental education. In order to achieve this purpose, a method of questionnaire was administered to total 1012 students selected from 5 universities in Suwon Si etc.. The results in questionnaire were as follows. Most students responded that living environmental education in middle and high school was helpful(70.4%) in practical living. And the most serious problem of living environmental pollution was water pollution(53.6%), air pollution(19.8%), waste material pollution(15.8%), food additives(7.9%), genetic modified organism(3.0%), respectively. And students obtained most knowledge of living environmental problems in internet(87.0%). Also most students responded that the main source and cause of water pollution and air pollution was industrial waste 63.4%, vehicles 61.5%, respectively. And level of environmental behaviors and consciousness of students distributed by major was science & engineering 2.13/4, etc. 2.08/4, art & athletics 1.6/4, liberal art 1.53/4, respectively. And also most respondents have recognition the necessity of schooling for environmental education.
The purpose of this study was to examine food hygiene knowledge and health practice levels of elementary school students at foodservice in the Suwon area. Of the 500 upper graders from three elementary schools, 486 students (97.2%) participated in the study. The questionnaire was composed of general characteristics including experience of serving food at school, food hygiene knowledge (25 questions), and health practice (18 questions). The results were as follows: The education experiences of food hygiene were below 40% though most students (88.1%) participated in providing food at foodservice. The percentage of correct answers in food hygiene knowledge was over 70% in most questions, but relatively lower in food preservation temperature (44.7%) and food poisoning bacteria (43.2%). When we examined food hygiene behavior of elementary school students in 5scales, the level of personal hygiene management was 4.04, sanitary management in food product was 3.62, environmental hygiene was 3.92, and foodborn disease and food microorganism was 3.81. Each level in each subarea was significantly related in the frequency of hygiene education experiences. Finally, the food hygiene knowledge was positively correlated with its behavior level in elementary school foodservice. These results suggested that the knowledge of food hygiene may affect its behavior, and therefore, regular education of food hygiene at home and school would be needed to improve food safety in foodservice.
The purpose of this study was to inquire into the knowledge of medical students on the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) and evaluate whether infection prevention education impacts students' level of knowledge and individual hygiene practices. This study also investigated the route by which medical students obtain disease-related information. The study involved a survey conducted in August of 2015 at two medical schools in Busan. In the first year to fourth year, a total of 345 students are enrolled (111 students in A school and 234 students in B school). Before the study was carried out, university A performed infection prevention education related to MERS, but B did not. We used self-developed questionnaires to survey the demographic characteristics, routes of acquisition of MERS information, degree of knowledge of MERS, educational satisfaction, and personal hygiene practices before and after education. Knowledge level differences according to gender and year in school were not statistically significant. Students obtained their information about MERS from various news media sources and the Internet, and through social network sites. Students practiced sanitary control behaviors in an average of 2.2 manners (standard deviation=0.95). The level of knowledge of MERS revealed a positive correlation with the frequency and total numbers of personal hygiene practices. This finding suggests that the infection prevention education program played a role in knowledge acquisition and personal hygiene practices for the medical students. In order to provide accurate and reliable knowledge of disease and preventive health behavior to medical students, continuous and well-planned education programs are necessary.
