  • A pseudo-random sequence generated by using a primitive polynomial, trace function, and Legendre symbol has been researched in our previous work. Our previous sequence has some interesting features such as period, autocorrelation, and linear complexity. A pseudo-random sequence widely used in cryptography. However, from the aspect of the practical use in cryptographic systems sequence needs to generate swiftly. Our previous sequence generated by utilizing a primitive polynomial, however, finding a primitive polynomial requires high calculating cost when the degree or the characteristic is large. It’s a shortcoming of our previous work. The main contribution of this work is to find some relation between the generated sequence and irreducible polynomials. The purpose of this relationship is to generate the same sequence without utilizing a primitive polynomial. From the experimental observation, it is found that there are (p - 1)/2 kinds of polynomial, which generates the same sequence. In addition, some of these polynomials are non-primitive polynomial. In this paper, these relationships between the sequence and the polynomials are shown by some examples. Furthermore, these relationships are proven theoretically also.

  • Objectives: This study was performed to examine the effects of the public attention to 'crime of schizophrenia' on the use of mental health services in patients with schizophrenia using big data analysis. Methods: Data on the frequency of internet searches for 'crime of schizophrenia' and the patterns of mental health service utilization by patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders by month were collected from Naver big data and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Services in Korea, respectively. Their correlations in the same and following month for lagged effect were examined. Results: The number of outpatients correlated negatively with public attention to 'crime of schizophrenia' in the same month. The lagged relationship between public attention and the number of admissions in psychiatric wards was also found. In terms of sex differences, the use of outpatient services among female patients correlated negatively with public attention in the same month while the number of male patients' admissions in both same and following month correlated positively with public attention. Conclusion: These findings suggested that public attention to 'crime of schizophrenia' could negatively affect illness behavior in patients with schizophrenia.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the reproducibility of responses to the QSCC II. Methods: Subjects have been tested by QSCC II for 2 or 3 successive years in Kangnam Korean Hospital at Kyunghee University from January 2002 to December 2005. We analyzed constitutions of the same subjects of each year tested. Results: In the second year of QSCC II assessment, 333 of the total 584 subjects were classed as the same constitutions as in their first test. The reproducibility was thus 56.88%. After the third year of QSCC II, 45 of a total 81 subjects were in the same constitutions. The reproducibility was thus 55.56%. Conclusions: We have found that the reproducibility of QSCC II is about 56%, so there is a severe limitation to diagnosis of constitution by QSCC II. Therefore, we must analyze constitutions through multiple objective methods.

  • Rx and Tx signal use same band in RFID. Then RFID system is not used duplexer and used coupler. RFID system have problem about Rx part to Tx leakage signal because that Rx signal port is Tx signal port's Isolation port. We proposal using phase shifter Tx leakage signal decrease than other RFID system. It is same signal Tx signal port's coupling port and isolation port signal except amplitude and phase. So if make coupling signal and isolation signal is in all same signal. We cancel Tx leakage signal used coupling port. And verification about ADS2006.

  • Dysplastic nevus is common and affects about 10% of the northern European-descendent population. Studies over the past several decades have identified dysplastic nevi as a risk factor for malignant melanoma. Furthermore, in rare cases, they confirmed that dysplastic nevi have progressed to melanoma. Cases in which dysplastic nevi progressed to malignant melanoma in multiple studies are not uncommon. A 35-year-old woman presented with the major symptom of multiple itchy brown nodules ($2.0cm{\times}1.3cm$) in the left cheek that had first appeared 20 years earlier. Complete excision was performed at the first visit; subsequent biopsy confirmed that they were dysplastic nevi. They recurred three times over 3 years at the same site, all of which were histologically diagnosed as dysplastic nevi. Five years after the final excision, a brownish nodule developed in the left cheek, with others at the left temporal region, right retroauricular region, and left shoulder at the same time. These lesions were histologically diagnosed as malignant melanoma. We experienced a case of malignant melanoma that occurred at the same site after three recurrences of dysplastic nevi. Although rare, the possibility of malignant melanoma should be considered in follow-ups in cases involving repeatedly recurrent dysplastic nevi.

  • In this research, we concentrate on the effects of dependencies in arrival processes on queueing measures. In particular, we use a specific form of arrival process which has the advantage of allowing us to change dependency properties without at the same time changing one dimensional distributional conditions. It is shown that the mean queue length can be made arbitrarily large with the same interarrival distributions and the same service time distributions with fixed smaller than one traffic intensity.

  • Purpose: In many cases, the erroneous placement of a dental implant brings about undesirable results. Here, the effect of dental implant placement on the success of the final prosthesis was evaluated from the point of view of the prosthodontist. Materials and Methods: All surgical operations were performed by the same oral surgeon with the same surgical protocol and all prosthodontic procedures were performed by the same prosthodontist. The problems faced by the prosthodontist, their causes, and their effect on prosthesis success were identified. The success of the final prostheses was evaluated by the same prosthodontist. Results: Only 53% (238 implants in 105 patients) of dental implants were not associated with prosthodontic problems. Multiple implant placement (more than three implants) was associated more frequently with prosthodontic problems. Conclusions: The data indicate that the satisfactory construction of a prosthesis is highly dependent on the placement of the dental implant in the best possible position. It is strongly recommended that the oral surgeon and the prosthodontist engage in pre-operative discussions to establish a top-down treatment plan, as this will improve implant placement and ultimately the success of the prosthesis.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to assess the usefulness of machine learning and automation techniques to match pairs of panoramic radiographs for personal identification. Materials and Methods: Two hundred panoramic radiographs from 100 patients (50 males and 50 females) were randomly selected from a private radiological service database. Initially, 14 linear and angular measurements of the radiographs were made by an expert. Eight ratio indices derived from the original measurements were applied to a statistical algorithm to match radiographs from the same patients, simulating a semi-automated personal identification process. Subsequently, measurements were automatically generated using a deep neural network for image recognition, simulating a fully automated personal identification process. Results: Approximately 85% of the radiographs were correctly matched by the automated personal identification process. In a limited number of cases, the image recognition algorithm identified 2 potential matches for the same individual. No statistically significant differences were found between measurements performed by the expert on panoramic radiographs from the same patients. Conclusion: Personal identification might be performed with the aid of image recognition algorithms and machine learning techniques. This approach will likely facilitate the complex task of personal identification by performing an initial screening of radiographs and matching ante-mortem and post-mortem images from the same individuals.
