선박용 로터세일 주위의 난류 유동특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Analysis Study on the Turbulent Flow Characteristics around the Rotor Sail for Vessels)

  • 국제해사기구(IMO)의 온실가스(GHG) 감축 전략과 같은 환경규제를 강화함에 따라 친환경 선박 및 대체 연료 등 기술 개발이 확대되고 있다. 그의 일환으로 해운사와 조선사를 중심으로 에너지 저감과 풍력 추진 기술을 활용한 선박 추진 기술이 대두되고 있다. 풍력 추진 기술의 확보와 실증 연구를 조선 및 해운 분야에 도입함으로써 친환경 기술을 활용한 고부가가치 시장을 창출할 수 있으며, 운항선박의 연료 소비율을 줄임으로써 연비를 약 6~8 % 정도 향상시켜 GHG의 감축을 기대할 수 있다. 로터 세일(Rotor Sail, RS) 기술은 원형 실린더가 일정한 속도로 회전하여 유체를 통과할 때 실린더의 수직 방향으로 유체역학적 힘을 발생시키는 기술이다. 이를 마그누스 효과(Magnus Effect)라고 하며, 본 연구에서는 선박에 설치된 풍력보조추진 시스템인 RS 주위의 난류 유동특성에 관한 수치해석적 연구를 통하여 추진효율을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 그래서 RS의 공기 역학적 힘에 영향을 미치는 매개변수로써 속도비(Spin Ratio, SR)와 종횡비(Aspect Ratio, AR) 변화에 따른 양력계수(CL)와 항력계수(CD)를 도출하였고, RS 끝단 플레이트(End Plate, EP) 적용에 따른 RS 주변 유동특성을 비교하였다.

예인수조 시험 및 VPP 계산에 의한 세일링 요트의 성능 추정 (Performance Predictions for Sailing Yacht by Towing Tests and VPP Calculation)

  • A model test was carried out, in order to verify the hydrodynamic performances of public 30 feet class sailing yacht. In the initial design stage, the performances and the running attitude of sail yacht including the hull form and sail plan, appendages were estimated by VPP, from which made the representative test conditions. A new experiment system such as captive model device was composed because the running attitude could be changed by wind conditions. The test results show that the minimum resistance is generated in the heeling 20 degree. which was expected in the initial design stage. It is thought to be the useful informations that the keel has an effects on hydrodynamic forces and resistance differences between the upwind and the downwind condition. Also this paper is associated with the state-of-the-art of calculating sailing yacht performance as this is performed in velocity Prediction program (VPP) The VPP results shows a typical shape of a sailing yacht and the designed yacht has the best performance at 120 degree angle of true wind with 20 knots.

  • In this study the writer would like to study the art of navigation in the Era of Silla. For the purpose of this study, the writer studied ship's log book of Ennin's Diary, the ancient ship's structures of Korean, Chinese, Japanese, winds and ocean currents around Korean Peninsular which effect the navigation of sailing ship, and ancient reference books and materials. The result of this study. in the ship's structure in the Era of Silla. bottom structure is considered flat and V-Shaped type, and sailing ship had anchor, sail, considerable deckhouse, transverse bulkhead. And the ship's main materials of sailing ship was wood. partially used irons in the panting structures. In the art of navigation, navigators used winds, ocean current, anchor, sail, depth and color of sea water, lights, ballast. Especially navigators used astrologers and geomancers for astronomical observation, weather forecast, natural phenomena.

  • 선박은 물을 떠날 수 없고, 항로의 자연환경에 따라 항행해야 하기 때문에 항행하는 해역환경에 의하여 선박의 특성이 결정된다. 중국의 남방과 북방의 해역은 상이한 특징을 가지고 있다. 즉 남방의 해역은 수심이 갚고, 북방의 해역은 수심이 얕다. 중국의 조선기술은 이러한 해역특성에 적응하여 상이한 선형이 발명, 발전되었다.

벌선의 항해학적 고찰 (A Study on the Navigation of Fishing Raft)

  • For the purpose of estimation of navigational method and ability about fishing raft, we have practical navigation of her from Chujado on Oct, 7 to Maryang-ri , Kangjin-kun, Jeonranman-do on Oct.10. The results obtained are as follow : 1. Ancient navigation of her is thought to over to an isolated island in the vicinity with a good informations and experiences. 2. Speed of her in outward voyage is 1.34 knots, but is varied with structure and shape of her and ability of fishing raftman. 3. The lee way(U) of her with sail of hight 2.5m and breadth about 1.2m according to windspeed(W) is U=$0.038{\times}W$ 4. We could estimate to take only three days to go over from Chujado to Maryang-ri, Kangjin-kun. Jeonranam-do by her with sail, and make a voyage total 55 miles for thirty-four hours and ten minutes i, e, mean speed is 1.6knots resulty.

  • To realize magnetic sails, momentum of the solar wind should be efficiently transferred to a spacecraft via magnetic field, which is produced around a spacecraft. In this paper, two important physical processes are addressed: 1) diffusive processes caused by plasma turbulence at the magnetospheric boundary around the spacecraft; and 2) field aligned current loops that will electrically connect the magnetospheric boundary and the spacecraft. The idea of the magnetic sails will be demonstrated by an experimental simulator, in which a fast plasma beam will penetrate into a dipole magnetic field. For that purpose, the two important physical processes should be scaled down to a small laboratory experiment in a space chamber. From the scaling considerations, the interaction can be scaled down if high-speed and high-density $(10^{19}m^{-3})$ plasma jet is used with 1-T-class magnetic field.

1년생 빙맥 하중 추정 모델 (On the prediction of global first-year ice loads)

  • 본 논문에서는 1년생 빙맥에 의하여 해양구조물에 작용하는 하중을 추정할 수 있는 모델을 제시하였다. 1년생 빙맥을 수면하부(keel), 수면상부(sail), 경화층(consolidated layer)의 3부분으로 나누어 각 부분에 의한 하중을 추정할 수 있는 방법을 논의하였다. 수면하부는 얼음조각(ice rubble)이 층으로 쌓여져 형성된 것이므로 수면하부에 의한 하중추정을 할 때 얼음조각을 선형 Mohr-Coulomb재료로 생각하여 토질역학(soil mechanics)의 이론을 사용하였다. 수면상부에 의한 하중도 토질역학 이론을 이용하여 추정하였으며 경화층에 의한 하중은 Korzhavin식을 이용하여 추정하였다. 제시한 모델을 이용하여 빙맥하중 추정에 미치는 인자들의 영향을 검토하였다.
