  • In this paper, the operational characteristics of SFCL with magnetically coupled two coils were modeled and simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC. The dependence of the line voltage sag on the resistance of superconducting element during the fault period was analyzed. Through the analysis for the winding direction of two coils, the line voltage sag in case of the additive polarity winding was observed to be more improved compared to the case of the subtractive polarity winding.

  • In this paper, we propose a boost type inverter system for the compensation of instantaneous voltage sag. The system compensate instantaneous voltage sag which magnitude is higher than 10[%] of normal input voltage. When input voltage is higher than 90[%] of normal value, the switch in boost converter is not operated and output voltage is controlled by modulation amplitude in PWM inverter.

  • The sag is phenomenon that magnitude of load voltage temporarily decreases because of power system fault. If a certain equipment in industrial process have any trouble result from sag. it can cause utility to be charged for enormous economics loss. Therefore it need to analyze the characteristic of sag and then mitigation method for sags in distribution system in odor to increase reliability. This paper gives an overview of sags characteristic due to short circuit fault in distribution system and after a general discussion of the various forms mitigation, gives a sags mitigation method with concentrating on changing the distribution system like spot network, on-site generation.

  • Of all known power quality problems, voltage sags provide the largest reason for concern. Sags occurs more frequently than outages and therefore tend to be more costly for industry as modern technical equipment becomes all the more sensitive to the quality and reliability of supply. Therefore we designed for a new model for Voltage Sag compensator, and we will implement Anti-Windup PI Controller with IP Block.

  • One of the controversial issues in English locative inversion (LI) construction( e. g. Under the tree sat a woman) has been the functional status of preverbal PP and postverbal NP, i.e. whether they are a subject, a complement, or filer (topic) Based on the distributional parallelisms between the PP and NP on the one hand and an ordinary subject and filler on the other this paper proposes that the PP has a dual function as a subject and filler, while the NP also has some subject properties that the PP does not have These mixed functional properties are analyzed in the theory of HPSG expecially with the versions recently developed by Sag(1997) Manning and Sag(1999) and Ginzburg and Sag(to appear). This analysis claims that the LI construction needs to satisfy two general, independent constraints head-subject- phrase and head-filler-phrase. This position suggests that the English LI construction is an instance of the peripheral phenomena whose construction specific constraint is inherited from more general core constraints. • Endogenous salicylic acid (SA) and its predominant conjugates, SA 2-O-${\beta}$-D-glucoside (SAG) and the glucose ester of SA (SGE), increase dramatically during plant defense responses. Here I report the isolation and characterization of an Arabidopsis thaliana UDP-glucose:SA glucosyltransferase1 (AtSGT1) gene using a tobacco SGT gene previously reported, whose product catalyzes the formation of both SAG and SGE. The recombinant AtSGT1 protein had significant activities with SA and benzoic acid, and synthesized SAG and SGE. Northern blot analysis showed that AtSGT1 was rapidly induced both by exogenous SA and infection with the bacterial pathogen Pseudomonas syringae, indicating that pathogen-inducible AtSGT1 expression is an early disease response and may be involved in the accumulation of glucosyl SA during pathogenesis.

  • With the advent of distributed generation, power systems are fundamentally impacted in regards to stability and power quality. Distributed generation has a positive impact on system restoration following a fault, higher reliability, and mitigation of effect due to voltage sag. However, distributed generation also has a negative impact on decrease of reliability such as changes of protective device setting and mal-operation. Because bulk power systems consist of various sources and loads, it becomes complicated to analyze a power system with distributed generation. The types of distributed generation are usually classified by both rotating machinery and the inverter-based system. In this paper, distributed generation is designed by rotating machinery, and the distributed system having a model of the distributed generation is simulated using EMTP. In addition, this paper presents the simulation results according to the types of distributed generation.

  • This paper presents a fast method to identify an area of severity which is a network area leading to voltage sags at multiple sensitive load points, simultaneously. To assess voltage sag performance considering various sensitive loads, it is need to determine an area of severity for the load points. The area of severity can be calculated by overlapping areas of vulnerability for each sensitive load. However, as the number of sensitive loads increases, computational complexity and time for determining an area of severity are highly increased. In this paper, an efficient scheme based on line division is described. The proposed method is useful for identifying an area of severity and assessing voltage sag performance considering multiple loads together.

  • Voltage sag and swell are the most severe factors affecting power quality in distribution systems. This paper discusses an approach to ensure a high quality power supply to critical loads appling voltage-sag compensator. The proposed system consists of a PWM voltage source inverter, connected in series with the line through a single-phase transformer. The operation Principle and Power circuit configuration of the proposed voltage sag compensator are introduced. And then the transfer function of compensator is derived from simplified single phase power circuit, and simulated so that the benefits of this proposed compensator is confirmed through the open loop response.
