This paper describes the development of unmanned vehicle remote control system which is configured with steering and accelerating/braking hardware to improve the sense of reality and safety of control. Generally, in these case of the remote control system, a joystick-type device is used for steering and accelerating/braking control of unmanned vehicle in most cases. Other systems have been developing using simple steering wheel, but there is no function of that feedback the feeling of driving situation to users and it mostly doesn't include the accelerating/braking control hardware. The technology of feedback means that a reproducing the feeling of current driving situation through steering and accelerating/braking hardware when driving a vehicle in person. In addition to studying feedback technologies that reduce unfamiliarity in remote control of unmanned vehicles, it is necessary to develop the remote control system with hardware that can improve sense of reality. Therefore, in this study, the reliable remote control system is developed and required system specification is defined for applying force-feedback haptic control technology developed through previous research. The system consists of a steering-wheel module similar to a normal vehicle and an accelerating/braking pedal module with actuators to operate by feedback commands. In addition, the software environment configured by CAN communication to send feedback commands to each modules. To verify the reliability of the remote control system, the force-feedback haptic control algorithms developed through previous research were applied, to assess the behavior of the algorithms in each situation.

Recently, standardization of installation progress and technology of site acceptance test(SAT) for energy storage system(ESS) are being required due to performance of ESS depending on working condition and environment even though the quality and safety of each component of ESS is guaranteed. And also, it has been required to perform not only performance testing by H/W equipments but also performance verification by S/W tool, in order to more accurately and reliably validate the performance of the ESS in advanced countries. Therefore, this paper proposes evaluation algorithm for SAT to evaluate performance of ESS and presents modeling of SAT test equipment for ESS by using PSCAD/EMTDC. Furthermore, 30[kW] scaled portable test equipments is implemented based on the proposed algorithm and modeling. From the various simulation and test results, it is confirmed that performance of ESS related to characteristics of capacity and Round-trip efficiency, Duty-cycle efficiency, low voltage ride through(LVRT) and Anti-islanding can be accurately evaluated and that the simulation results of PSCAD/EMTDC are identical to test results of 30[kW] test equipment.

In various industrial processes, piping serves as a link between unit processes and is an essential installation for internal flow. Therefore, the optimum design of the piping system is very important in terms of safety and cost, which requires the estimation of the pressure drop, flow rate, pipe size, etc. in the piping system. In this study, we developed a software that determines pressure drop, flow rate, and pipe size when any two of these design variables are known. We categorized the flows into single phase, homogeneous two phase, and separated two phase flows, and applied suitable calculation models accordingly. We also constructed a system library for the calculation of the pipe material, relative roughness, fluid property, and friction coefficients to minimize user input. We further created a costing library according to the piping material for the calculation of the investment cost of the pipe per unit length. We implemented all these functions in an integrated environment using a graphical user interface for user convenience, and C # programming language. Finally, we verified the accuracy of the software using literature data and examples from an industrial process with obtained deviations of 1% and 8.8% for the single phase and two-phase models.

The frequency of official injury of fire-fighting officers exposed to an extreme situation in disaster areas has been continuously increased. In spite of increase of injury, procedures of injury approval are complex, so the working environment of fire-fighting officers is very poor in terms of safety management. This study was, therefore, conducted to provide basic data for improvement of the injury management system for fire-fighting officers, by empirically analyzing the system for those in Busan city. The findings of the empirical analysis are as follows: first, the frequency of injury experienced by them is higher than that of other occupations; second, application for injury is not actively made; third, fire-fighting officers should bear the expense if injury is approved. On the basis of such an analysis on actual conditions, an analysis on policy factors for improving the injury management system shows; first, various high-risk matters should be considered in the review of application for injury, for improvement factors of the application for injury, while it is necessary to extend the benefit and support project for injured officers, for operation improvement factors of the injury management system, and the compensation act should be improved, for the improvement factors of the injury system. Second, it is urgent to develop damage prevention and coping education program for improving the injury management system. In addition, the simplification of administrative procedures of application for injury and the extension of benefit and support project for injured officers should be realized as soon as possible, moreover, the enhancement of directors' interest and support is also required.
In this study, the evaluation to probability of failure for risk assessment of port structures on DCM reinforced soils, where stability and risk assessment are increasing in importance, was performed. As a random variables affecting the risk of DCM improved ground, the design strength, superposition (overlap) of construction, strength of the natural ground, internal friction angle and unit weight of the modified ground were selected and applied to the risk assessment. In addition, the failure probability for the entire system under ordinary conditions and under earthquake conditions were analyzed. As a result, it was found that the highest coefficient of variation in the random variable for the risk assessment of the DCM improved ground is the design strength, but this does not have a great influence on the safety factor, ie, the risk of the system. The main risk factor for the failure probability of the system for the DCM reinforced soils was evaluated as horizontal sliding in case of external stability and compression failure in case of internal stability both at ordinary condition and earthquake condition. In addition, the failure probability for ordinary horizontal sliding is higher than that for earthquake failure, and the failure probability for ordinary compression failure is lower than that for earthquake failure. The ordinary failure probability of the entire system is similar to the failure probability on earthquake condition, but in this case, the risk of earthquake is somewhat higher.

Road lighting is highly preferred as the major nighttime road safety countermeasures. When it comes to the pole-type road lighting, as it's installed at a certain height from the road surface, the driver is dazzled by the light source, interrupting the driver's visibility and furthermore, the light leaks to the area outside the road boundary, worsening the energy efficiency as well as generating the light pollution to the surrounding environment including the animals and plants. The study developed the low-level lighting systems, so it is possible to prevent the lights from being strayed, so there is no any side effects in terms of the sleep deprivation. The study compared the performance as the lightings between low-level lightings and conventional pole based lighting systems. As the results, the low-level lighting systems showed the higher performance in terms of average surface luminance, uniformity, glare compared to the conventional lighting systems.

This study will explore the reenactment of visual special effects used in TV dramas. The subjects of the study are images that are reproduced in visual special effects through and . Accordingly, we looked at the changes in the way TV dramas were produced according to the times, and looked at the changes in the market. Also, we looked at cases of visual special effects of Korean dramas, and looked at expressions according to the degree of completion of visual special effects. For the purpose of the analysis of the research targets, the images of reproducibility and the flow through reality were analyzed. In the case of , the period setting is realistic, but visual special effects were used to maximize the actor's safety and expression, and in the case of , the visual effects were used to maximize the aesthetic of the period background. In addition, it can be seen that the visual special effects were used for the effect of PPL on the export of images. This shows that the emphasis of reality and image montage techniques are being used to pursue hyperrealism. It is now possible to actively express and use the beauty of TV dramas rather than technical limitations. In addition, the pursuit of realism can actively express the changing times of digital age. This is an active representation of the camera's angle, lighting, and perspective that coincides with the background. The environment of video production is crucial for realistic expressions. The study examined various visual directions and applications. In TV images, we looked at reproduction, which can make a natural period of time by combining. As a follow-up study, we are going to study the changes in the new quadratic image based on the present image representation.

Network-based scheduling methods can be classified into CPM method and PERT method. In the network scheduling chart, critical path can be estimated by performing the forward calculation and the backward calculation though the paths in the network chart. In PERT method, however, it is unreasonable to simply estimate the critical path by adding the sum of the activity durations in a specific path, since it does not incorporate probabilistic concept of PERT. The critical path of a PERT network can change according to the target period and deviation, and in some cases, the expected time of the critical path may not be the path with longest expected time. Based on this concept, this study proposes a technique to derive the most-likely critical path by comparing the sum of estimated time with the target time. It also proposes a method of systematically deriving all alternate paths for a network of repetitive activities. Case studies demonstrated that the most-likely critical path is not a fixed path and may vary according to the target period and standard deviation. It is expected that the proposed method of project duration forecasting will be useful in construction environment with varying target date situations.
With the appearance of self-driving cars and electric cars, the automobile industry is rapidly changing. In the midst of these changes, HMI studies are becoming more important as to how the driver obtains safety and convenience with controlling the vehicle. This study sought to understand how automobile manufacturers understand the driving situation, and how they define and limit driver interaction. For this, prior studies about HMI were reviewed and 15 participants performed an on-road study to drive vehicles from five manufacturers with using their interfaces. The results of the study confirmed that buttons and switches that are easily controlled by the user while driving were different from manufacturer to manufacturer. And there are some buttons that are more intensively controlled and others that are difficult to control while driving. It was able to derive 'selection and concentration' from Audi's vehicle, 'optimization of the driving ' from BMW's, 'simple and minimize' from Benz's vehicle, 'remove the manual distraction' from the vehicle of Lexus, and 'visual stability' from KIA's vehicle as the distinctive keywords for the HMI. This shows that each manufacturer has a different definition and interpretation of the driver's driving control area. This study has a distinct value in that it has identified the characteristics of vehicle-specific HMI in actual driving conditions, which is not apparent in appearance. It is expected that this research approach can be useful to see differences in interaction through actual driving despite changes in driving environment such as vehicle platooning and self-driving technology.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to organize the research methods and results of studies related to the temperature of the warm needle for systematic utilization of warm needling technique. Methods: This study used the databases of nine (Pubmed, Science Direct, Cochrane Central, 4 Korean databases, CNKI, CiNii) to analyze temperature-related studies of the warm needle from 2000 to June 2019. Results: A total of 19 papers were included. Of these, 15 were used for mugwort, 2 for high frequency, and 1 for both mugwort and high frequency, and the other one for a ceramic heater. The maximum temperature rises as the amount of moxibustion increases. It is also affected by the density of moxa and the ignition part. There were 16 papers using stainless steel needles and 4 papers using a needle made of gold or silver to compare. In the area of the needle, the closer it is to moxibustion, the hotter it is. Compared to stainless steel needles, gold and silver needles showed almost twice the temperature. The effects of environment and radiant heat should be considered during warm needle procedures. Conclusions: There are various experimental methods such as warm needle technique materials, methods, measuring parts, measuring instruments, etc. The results were also very diverse. When setting the heating source, ignition part, size of moxibustion, etc. of warm needles, it should be implemented in a way that takes safety and validity into account. Considerations for temperature characteristics, radiant heat, etc. of warm needles will be needed when making warm needle apparatus.
