선박 조종성능지수를 활용한 경험식 기반 유체력 미계수의 보정 (Tune of Hydrodynamic Coefficients Based on Empirical Formula by Using Manoeuvring Performance Indices of a Ship)

  • Ship's hydrodynamic coefficients in manoeuvring equations are generally derived by captive model tests or numerical calculations. Empirical formulas have been also proposed in some previous researches, which were useful for practical predictions of hydrodynamic coefficients of a ship by using main dimensions only. In this study, ship's hydrodynamic coefficients based on empirical formulas were optimized by using its free running test data. Eight manoeuvring performance indices including steady turning radius, reach in zig-zag as well as well-known IMO criteria indices are selected in order to compare simulation results with free runs effectively. Sensitivities of hydrodynamic coefficients on manoeuvring performance indices are analyzed. And hydrodynamic coefficients are tuned within fixed bounds in order of sensitivity so that they are tuned as little as possible. Linear and nonlinear coefficients are successively tuned by using zig-zag and turning performance indices. Trajectories and velocity components by simulations with tuned hydrodynamic coefficients are in good agreements with free running tests. Tuned coefficients are also compared with coefficients by captive model tests or RANS calculations in other previous researches, and the magnitudes and signs of tunes are discussed.

  • Computer system performance has always had the possibility of affecting business profitability, but with the advent of the World Wide Web where customers interact directly with Web servers, response time can have a direct and dramatic impact on business revenue. This paper is written in the operation environment and system analysis of HTS(Home Trading System) running K Securities. This paper also shows the method for performance improvement through investigation and analysis for the overall systems resources whether HTS has an appropriate performance or not. Performance analysis includes specially CPU analysis, Memory analysis, Disk Input/Output analysis and application analysis. Besides providing more detailed server specification for expansion from now on, system performance can be maintained with effect in the future. Through this study it is possible to manage the performance of HTS more easily and to solve problems such as a bottleneck more quickly.

  • This paper presents a vector control of parallel drive, a beatless control and a low switching PWM technique for the propulsion system of Electric car as transient state which are included interrupting line voltage, changing line voltage slowly, suddenly, regenerating light load and starting from backward running. Improved performance and a validation of proposed method is shown by the experimental results using a 1.65MVA IGBT VVVF inverter and inertia load equivalent to 160 tons electric cars through a running and transient state test.

  • The role of suspension system in tracked vehicles cannot be overestimated because the driving and running conditions of such vehicles are very severe.   • For the safety of railway, it should be evaluated for the running safety by measuring the derailment coefficient. Although railway has run the fixed and maintained rail, some of railway is derailed. This report shows the results that performed the static load test, wheelset manufacturing for test, main line running test on the basis of the derailment theory and experience. It is executed main line test to 120 km/h for estimating the running safety of express train in Incheon International Airport. As the test results, could confirm the curving performance and running safety of Incheon International Airport EMU from the results of the wheel unloading, lateral force, derailment coefficient etc. Derailment coefficient was less than 0.8, and lateral force allowance limit and wheel load reduction ratio were enough safe.

  • 멀티미디어를 주요 처리 대상으로 하는 포터블 임베디드 시스템은 데이터에 대한 빈번한 메모리 접근으로 인하여 처리 속도가 저하되는 문제점에 직면하고 있으며, 이를 해결하기 위하여 임베디드 프로세서 설계 과정에서 데이터 선인출 기법을 채택하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 임베디드 시스템의 주요 성능 척도인 전력 소모 측면에서 데이터선인출이 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 데이터 선인출 기법이 추가된 메모리 시스템의 전력 분석 모델을 제안하고, 응용 프로그램 수행에 소모되는 전력을 모의 측정하였다. 실험 결과, 데이터 선인출은 응용 프로그램의 처리 시간을 단축하는 반면 전력 소모를 크게 증가시키는 것을 확인하였다. 더불어 데이터 선인출을 채용한 임베디드 시스템에 대하여 처리 속도와 전력 소모를 함께 고려하는 성능 분석 모델을 제안하였다.

  • For the purpose of the acoustic performance evaluation of noise reduction device(NRD) installed at the top of noise barrier for further decreasing of noise level of 400km/h class high-speed railroad(HEMU), the acoustic performance test method using speaker instead of really running railway vehicle was suggested in this paper. For this, noise source location and frequency spectrum of HEMU was analyzed through the field noise test. These data were used for the determination of speaker's installation positions and frequency correction values applied to the speaker noise source. And, 400 meters long NRD was installed at the site where HEMU will be running at a speed of 400km/h. Finally, the outdoor speaker test with and without NRD showed that this NRD could decrease noise level even more than 3dB(A). In the future, the acoustic performance results of NRD conducted with speaker test will be compared with that of field test for HEMU running at a speed of 400km/h.

  • In this paper, we try to improve the performance of the demand paging loader suggested to use the demand paging way that is not based on operating system. The demand paging switching strategy used in the existing operating system can know the recently used pages by running multi-processing. Then, based on it, some page switching strategies have been made for the recently used pages or the frequently demanded pages. However, the strategies based on operating system cannot be applied in single processing that is not based on operating system because any context switching never occur on the single processing. So, this paper is trying to suggest the demand paging switching strategies that can be applied in paging loader running in single process. In the Return-Prediction-Algorithm, we saw the improved performance in the program that the function call occurred frequently in a long distance. And then, in the Most-Frequently-Used-Page-Remain-Algorithm, we saw the improved performance in the program that the references frequently occurred for the particular pages. Likewise, it had an enormous effect on keeping the memory reduction performance by the demand paging and reducing the running time delay at the same time.
