고속화차용 현가장치 적정 설계변수 선정에 관한 연구 (A study to determine the Design parameters of high speed freight wagon)

  • The freight wagon with weld fabricated 1-piece bogies, which was developed to increase operating speed, reveals its difficulties in maintenance. The weld-fabricated bogies were composed of two-stage coil spring and dry friction damping mechanism. The inborn wear parts and rather complicated structure mattes bogie maintenance difficult. In order to relieve this difficulties, the application of maintenance free rubber suspension is proposed by bogie maunfacturer, Taeyang Precision Limited. This study was conducted to determine design parameters of proposed rubber suspension by means of vehicle dynamic simulation and parametric study. The target critical speed of bogie was set over 150km/h for the preparation of further speed-up of freight wagon.

Various Factors Influencing the Lifetime of Suspension-Type Porcelain Insulators for 154 kV Power Transmission Lines

  • In this article, we investigated the various influencing factors that degraded the lifetime of suspension insulators in 154 kV transmission lines, and showed the possible solutions to avoid such breakdowns. With respect to achieve safety, reliability and aesthetical considerations, the characteristics of transmission and distribution network power cables should be improved. Suspension insulators are particularly important to study, as they have developed to be the main component of transmission lines due to their ability to withstand the electrical conductivity of high-voltage power transmission. Suspension insulators are mostly made from glass, rubber and ceramic material due to their high resistivity. In Korea, porcelain suspension insulators are typically used in the transmission line system, as they are cheaper and more flexible compared to other types of insulators. This is effective from preventing very high and steep lightening impulse voltages from causing the breakdown of suspension insulators used in power lines. Other influential factors affect the lifetime of suspension insulators that we studied include temperature, water moisture, contamination, mechanical vibration and electrical stress.

  • As needs for substitution of excessive road-oriented transport by the railroad increase, we proposed the guideline for development of the high speed freight car up to 150km/h through analyzing the critical speed of welded-type freight car employed and investigating the improvement in its maintenance. This study, the proper design parameters of conical rubber spring was determined to meet the vibration performance.

  • The axle spring is used in primary suspension component of railway vehicles. The most important factor of axle spring is to have adequate spring constant for comfortable feeling of ride. The non-linear properties of rubber which were important parameter to evaluate of rubber components, were determined by the characteristic test. The finite element analysis of the axle spring are executed to predict the behavior of deformation and stiffness by using commercial FEA code.

  • The Light Rail Transit (LRT) System which has medium transport capacity between subway and bus(5,000-25,000 persons per hour) is the most advanced transportation system. It has many benefits, cheap construction, operational costs through driverless and flexible route planning. Also, the rubber tired AGT (K-AGT) of various LRT has a rubber wheels and side guide. The side guide type has an many advantages. but occur a vibration and friction noise through contact between guide rail and wheel. Most of point that decreased comport is vibration thorough the guide contact. In this paper, It is purpose to improve the maximum running speed of rubber tired AGT localization bogie which is currently developed from 70km/h to 80km/h. To satisfy comport index of railway vehicle that is required in performance test. we examined coefficient of bogie suspension which is designed.

가속도계 및 변위계를 이용한 차량용 고무부시의 변형량 추정 가능성 연구 (A Feasibility Study on Estimation of the Deformation of Rubber Bush in Vehicles Using Acceleration and Displacement Signals on the Links)

  • Ride comfort of a vehicle is often determined by rubber bushes in suspension system. If transmission forces versus deformations across the bushes are available under operational conditions, improvement of the ride comfort could be done with more ease. Recently, the transmission forces are measured using custom-made force transducers inside the links. This study presents a feasibility study on estimation of the rubber bush deformations using vibration signals on the rigid links. Linear variable displacement transducers as well as piezoelectric accelerometers are used to expand frequency range to very low frequency, which cannot be done with accelerometers only. How to estimate the bush deformation from the two vibration signals on the links are presented together with experimental results.

  • 고무 공기 스프링(rubber air spring)은 자동차, 철도차량 등 수송기기의 서스펜션 장치로 사용되고 있다. 고무 공기 스프링은 고무 에어백의 압축과 팽창을 통한 탄성효과로 스프링의 역할을 한다. 고무 공기 스프링의 주요 구성요소 중 하나가 고무 슬리브(rubber sleeve)이다. 고무 슬리브는 주요 구성성분인 클로로프렌 고무와 나일론 6 코드 간의 접착이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 첨가제의 영향을 고려한 고무 슬리브의 최적 배합조성과 조건을 찾기 위해 다양한 물성시험을 하였다. 또한, 보강섬유의 최적 배향을 선정하기 위해 유한요소해석법을 이용한 수치해석을 수행하였다. 고무 공기 스프링을 제조하여 실제 차량에 장착하여 기초물성과 피로수명 및 기밀성을 시험하였다.

  • 자동차의 고무부품 중의 하나인 스트라트방진고무의 특성 평가를 위하여 유한요소해석과 피로 수명시험을 실시하였다. 유한요소해석에 필요한 변형률에너지함수의 계수를 결정하기 위하여 인장, 압축 및 전단시험을 실시하였으며, 유한요소해석 결과로부터 변형 양성 및 취약 부위를 예측하였다. 부품의 피로수명시험 결과로부터 하중-수명 관계를 얻었으며, 피로파손 부위는 유한요소해석에서 예측된 취약 부위와 잘 일치하였다.

  • An air spring which is a part of the railroad vehicle suspension system is used to reduce and absorb the vibration and the noise. Main components of the air spying are a cord reinforced rubber bellows, a upper plate, a lower plate and a stopper rubber spring. The characteristics of the air spring which are the load capacity, the vertical and the horizontal stiffness are depended on the configuration of rubber bellows, the angle of cord and the mechanical properties of cord. The computer simulation using commercial finite element analysis codes are executed to predict and evaluate the load capacity and the stiffness. The appropriate shape and cord angle of the air suing are selected to adjust the required performance of the air spring. Several samples of the air spring are manufectured and experimented. It is shown that the results by computer simulation are in close agreement with the test results.

  • 고무재료는 배합조건에 따라 기계적 거동이 다르기 때문에 피로수명평가를 위해 부품소재에 대한 물성데이터 확보가 선행되어야 한다. 그러나 모든 종류의 배합조건을 고려하여 표준화된 재료물성을 확보하는 것은 현실적으로 불가능하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최소한의 제한된 실험으로부터 피로수명평가를 위한 입력물성을 선택하기 위한 방법을 제시하였으며, 피로수명 평가를 위한 최적 피로손상 파라미터를 결정하였다. 이러한 결과를 활용하여 부품의 피로수명 평가결과와 내구시험결과를 비교한 후, 본 연구에서 제안된 피로수명 평가절차의 타당성을 검토하였다.
