Morphological, Thermal and Dynamic Mechanical Properties of Polyurethane Product with Various Contents of Acrylic Polyol (Acrylic Polyol 함량을 달리한 폴리우레탄 제품의 형태학적 열적 및 동적·기계적 성질)

  • Polyester type polyurethane foam modified with acrylic polyol was prepared by quasi prepolymer method. Thermal and dynamic mechanical properties of polyurethane foam were analysed by thermal gravimetric analysis(TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA). Also, glass transition temperature was measured by differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). As acrylic polyol contents were increased, thermal stability measured by TGA was slightly decreased. Storage modulus was increased and tan delta was decreased with increasing of acrylic polyol contents.

  • A desirability function approach to a multiresponse problem is proposed considering process parameter fluctuation which may amplify the variance of response. It is called POE (propagation of error), which is defined as the standard deviation of the transmitted variability in the response as a function of process parameters. In order to obtain more robust process parameter setting, a new desirability function is proposed by considering POE as well as distance-to-target of response and response variance. The proposed method is illustrated using a rubber product case in Ribeiro et al. (2000).

  • In this paper, the rubber behavior was calculated for obtaining the optimal process condition which is for producing a transformer with a given performance. This study was carried out using the computer simulation of injection mold filling and packing simulations. In order to remove the crack of product, proper locations of the runner and cooling system configurations could be determined. Based on these results, the transformer is developed by injection molding and guidelines of part design, mold design and processing conditions are established. Finally, the cast savings, cycle time reduce and improvement of productivity will be obtained.

  • The mono-, di- and polysulfidic concentrations of the carbon black filled NR and SBR vucanizates which have different cure systems were determined. The n-decane was used as a swelling solvent. The propane-2-thiol and hexane thiol were used as specific chemical probes to cleavage the chemical crosslinks such as di- and polysulfide. In order to understand the effect of crosslink structure on the physical properties of vulcanizates, the tensile properties, fatigue failure, heat build up, compression set and viscoelastic properties were measured. From the results, the significant relationships between crosslink sturctures and physical properties, especially a gins resistance were obtained. Therefore, the better performances of the product can be satisfied by using the interpretations and approaches in this study.

  • The production of polyurethane polymer has been increased because of their unique properties and variety process methods available. The generation of their wastes also increases with products. These byproducts of industrialization seriously threaten the environmental demanding. Therefore, development of the recycling technologies have been required. The main propose of this study is to develop the recycling technology of waste polyurethane from a footwear scrap. This technique is composed of the following procedure : crushing, devulcanizing, pelletizing, washing and drying. The pellet was characterized with various methods. The recycled polyurethane(RPU) was blended with HIPS(high impact polystyrene) and investigated morphologically and rheologically. The experimental results showed that the addition of 20% HIPS to RPU was limited without mechanical performance of the superial properties of a virgin polyurethane. We believe that these technical information make possible to develop a rational engineering product.

Synthesis of PSSQs Siloxane Resin Polymer Using Monomolecular Fluoro Silane

  • Herein, resin-formed polysilsesquioxanes (PSSQs) were synthesized using monomolecular fluoro silane as a precursor. The synthesized PSSQs exhibited anti-smudge performance and were used as coating liquid. Two structures were acquired by controlling the amount of the silane precursor and the K2CO3 catalyst; these materials were used to prepare the anti-smudge coating liquid solution. The synthesized product was analyzed by various methods such as nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, gel permeation chromatography, and water contact angle measurement. The results confirmed that the as-synthesized PSSQs exhibited the ladder structure and had a molecular weight of 5,117 g/mol and water contact angle of 102.31°.

  • In this paper, we make a study of a thermal deformation by FEM and test to define the deformation mode of the Vacuum-Cleaner's Nozzle-Cover. In FEM analysis, 3 different conditions were considered separately, such as (1) Compressive force by Belt tension, (2) Friction heat between Belt and Shaft and (3) Compressive force combined with heat. Throughout FEM analysis it was found that the deformation was caused by heat and it was proved through a simulation test with a real product.

  • Oil ring and sound proof rubbers are very much important because the cause of oil leakage are mostly occupied by these rubbers. So good oil rings are the necessary parts of autolife expansion. The expensive selection system keeps from factory automation and most works are established manually. These study has been the basis of test equipments automatically in rubber products and DCT algorithm has been applied and the selection system is made efficiently differentiating good or poor.

  • The reaction of fullerene$[C_{60}]$ and 3-chloroperoxy benzoic acid in 1,2-dichlorobenzene was monitored by high resolution ultrasonic spectroscopy and the product of reaction by fullerene $[C_{60}]$ and 3-chloroperoxy benzoic acid in 1,2-dichlorobenzene was characterized using MALDI-TOF-MS spectra.
