A Study on RSS correction method based ToA for Distance Estimation in Sensor node (센서 노드의 거리 정확도 측정을 위한 ToA기반 RSS보정 방법에 관한 연구)

  • 무선 센서 네트워크는 고정 인프라 없이 센서 노드만으로 정보를 수집하는 네트워크로서 센서들의 위치정보 식별은 매우 중요하다. 센서 노드간 거리 측정은 신호의 도착시간차(Time of Arrival: ToA), 신호세기(Received Signal Strength: RSS), 신호각도(Angle of Arrival: AoA)에 기반을 둔 방법 등이 있다. 무선 센서 네트워크에 배치되어 있는 각 센서 노드간 정확한 거리 식별을 위해 기존의 거리 측정 방법을 보완하여 거리 오차를 줄이는 ToA기반의 RSS보정 방법을 제안한다. 구체적으로 초음파를 통한 거리측정 값에 맵(RF-MAP)을 통해 보정한 RSS값을 가중치로 보정하여 기존의 거리 측정 방법보다 측정오차를 줄였다. 실험을 통해 제안한 방법은 기존 ToA보다 실내(5m×7m)에서 평균 0.1cm, 실외(10m×10m) 평균 0.6cm 측정 오차를 줄일 수 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, a Inter-Working Function Unit(IWF) has been developed and designed in order to change to advanced subscriber system the Remote Subscriber System(RSS) that is operating with simple services(PSTN Function only). Regarding the cost and the effectiveness, RSS should be connected to Access Subscriber System with PCM cables directly. As this method being used, in the period of Retrofit, the connecting job covering RSS will be handled easily and safely.

  • This paper describes the finite element analysis(FEA) for the design of common core-type and separated core-type rotational speed sensor(RSS) for SMART MCP and compared with the low/ high speed characteristics of prototype RSS. As a result, it is shown that the characteristics of prototype RSS have a good agreement with the results of FEA.

  • Fingerprinting is a widely used positioning technology for received signal strength (RSS) based wireless local area network (WLAN) positioning system. Though spatial RSS variation is the key factor of the positioning technology, temporal RSS variation needs to be considered for more accuracy. To deal with the spatial and temporal RSS characteristics within a unified framework, this paper proposes an extended signal propagation mode (ESPM) and a fingerprint generation method. The proposed spatiotemporal fingerprint generation method consists of two algorithms running in parallel; Kalman filtering at several measurement-sampling locations and Kriging to generate location fingerprints at dense reference locations. The two different algorithms are connected by the extended signal propagation model which describes the spatial and temporal measurement characteristics in one frame. An experiment demonstrates that the proposed method provides an improved positioning accuracy.

  • A special library using Web 2.0 technologies should explore a new service to meet appropriately the needs for users. By applying the RSS and OPEN API, this paper developed a new information service for the Korea Institute of Public Finance(KIPF). In order for the library to sustain in the future challenges, it should participate actively in the developments of new strategic options and technological changes.

  • An advanced method of Relaxed Static Stability (RSS) is utilized for improving the aerodynamic performance of modem version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. The flight control system utilizes RSS criteria in both longitudinal and lateral-directional axes to achieve performance enhancements and improve stability. Standard CLDA (Control Law Design and Analysis) process is provided that reduce the development period of the flight control system. In addition, if this process is employed in developing flight control laws, it reduces the trial and error development and verification of control laws. This paper details the design process of developing a flight control law for the RSS aircraft, utilizing military specifications, linear and nonlinea, analysis using XMATH and ATLAS(Aircraft, Tim Linear and Simulation), handling quality tests using the HQS (Handling Quality Simulator), and real flight test results to verify aircraft dynamic flight responses.

  • Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) propagation is one of the challenges in radio positioning. Distinguishing the transmission status of the communication as line-of-sight (LOS) or NLOS is of great importance for the wireless communication systems. This paper focuses on the identification of NLOS based on time-of-arrival (TOA) distance estimates and the received signal strength (RSS) measurements. We set a path loss threshold based on the joint TOA and RSS based NLOS detection method to determine LOS or NLOS. Simulation results show that the proposed method ensures the correct of detection for the LOS condition and can improve the NLOS identification for the weak noise and long distance.

  • If the ubiquitous computing times come before long, Context Awareness will be prominent among improved computing functions which are serviced to user. It is the very sense network, new technology, that makes it possible to recognize circumstances.In a lot of research projects about sensor network, this paper proposes the efficient method of localization for sensor network. I propose the possibility of localization using wireless RSS with no modification of hardware for sensor node and then suggest the limitation factors of method for efficiently improving performance.

  • Even though a lot of routing algorithms have been proposed, an omnipotent algorithm of routing technique, which has optimal efficiency, does not exist. Therefore, A routing algorithm in a sensor network is an application oriented; the best effective routing algorithm depends on which application it is used to. In this paper, the routing algorithm is proposed for the purpose of monitoring a movement of Assets in office. This Paper proposes a new multi-hop routing algorithm, that is, RSS(Received Signal Strength) value which was used in a localization of sensor network is applied to routing algorithm.

  • The method of Reverse Ranked Ordering-Set Sampling(RROSS) as an opposed Ranked Ordering-Set Sampling(ROSS) and Ranked-Set Sampling(RSS) is discussed. We propose the test statistic using sign test on RROSS. This method is effective when observations are expensive and measurement is perhaps destructive or invasive. This method obtains more informations than ROSS and RSS. The asymptotic relative efficiencies of RROSS with respect to ROSS and RSS are always greater than 1 for all sample sizes. We consider a simple model to describe the effect of imperfect judgment errors.
