Jute rope is one of the most popular materials used for composites in various industries and in civil engineering. This experimental study investigated two types of jute rope with different diameters for jute rope composite plates to determine the best combination of jute rope and carbon fiber in terms of ratio and physical and mechanical properties. Eight combinations of carbon fiber and jute rope with different percentages of carbon fiber were analyzed. Tensile tests for the jute rope composite plate and hybrid jute rope composite were conducted, and the mechanical and physical properties of the specimens were compared. Thereafter, the ideal combinations of jute rope with an optimum percentage of carbon fiber were identified and recommended. These particular combinations had tensile strengths that were 2.23 times and 1.76 times higher than other varieties in each type.
The wire rope is an indispensable production machinery in coal mines. It is the main force-bearing equipment of the underground traction system. Accurate detection of wire rope defects and positions exerts an exceedingly crucial role in safe production. The existing defect detection solutions exhibit some deficiencies pertaining to the flexibility, accuracy and real-time performance of wire rope defect detection. To solve the aforementioned problems, this study utilizes the camera to sample the wire rope before the well entry, and proposes an object based on YOLOv5. The surface small-defect detection model realizes the accurate detection of small defects outside the wire rope. The transfer learning method is also introduced to enhance the model accuracy of small sample training. Herein, the enhanced YOLOv5 algorithm effectively enhances the accuracy of target detection and solves the defect detection problem of wire rope utilized in mine, and somewhat avoids accidents occasioned by wire rope damage. After a large number of experiments, it is revealed that in the task of wire rope defect detection, the average correctness rate and the average accuracy rate of the model are significantly enhanced with those before the modification, and that the detection speed can be maintained at a real-time level.

A large number of wire rope has been used in various inderstiries as Cranes and Elevators from expanding the scale of the industrial market. But now, the management of wire rope is used as manually operated by rope replacement from over time or after the accident. It is caused to major accidents as well as economic losses and personal injury. Therefore its time to need periodic fault diagnosis of wire rope or supply of real-time monitoring system. Currently, there are several methods has been reported for fault diagnosis method of the wire rope, to find out the feature point from extracting method is becoming more common compared to time wave and model-based system. This method has implemented a deterministic modeling like the observer and neural network through considering the state of the system as a deterministic signal. However, the out-put of real system has probability characteristics, and if it is used as a current method on this system, the performance will be decreased at the real time. And if the random noise is occurred from unstable measure/experiment environment in wire rope system, diagnostic criterion becomes unclear and accuracy of diagnosis becomes blurred. Thus, more sophisticated techniques are required rather than deterministic fault diagnosis algorithm. In this paper, we developed the fault diagnosis of the wire rope using probability density estimation techniques algorithm. At first, The steady-state wire rope fault signal detection is defined as the probability model through probability distribution estimate. Wire rope defects signal is detected by a hall sensor in real-time, it is estimated by proposed probability estimation algorithm. we judge whether wire rope has defection or not using the error value from comparing two probability distribution.
This paper presents a control-oriented dynamical model of a towing rope system with variable-length. In this system, a winch driven by a motor's torque uses the towing rope to pull a cart. In general, it is a difficult and complicated process to obtain an accurate mathematical model for this system. In particular, if the rope length is varied by operating the winch, the varying rope dynamics needs to be considered, and the key physical parameters need to be re-identified... However, real time parameter identification requires long computation time for the control scheme, and hence undesirable control performance. Therefore, in this article, the rope is modeled as a straight massless segment, with the mass of rope being considered partly with that of the cart, and partly as halfway to the winch. In addition, the changing spring constant and damping constant of the towing rope are accounted for as part of the dynamics of the winch. Finally, a reduced-order observer-based servomechanism controller is designed for the system, and the performance is evaluated by computer simulation.
The aim of this study was to investigate the anti-stress effect of xylazine on rope-restrained stress using cattle. For this study we utilized biotelemetrical methods such as body temperature, heart rate and blood analysis. Twelve cows were divided into two groups as an only rope restrained group (control) and as rope-restrain+xylazine (0.05 mg/kg, IV) treated group (experimental group). Each group was under experimental environments for 24 hours before initiation of stress. The body temperature and the heart rate were checked every 5 minutes for 24 hours in two groups. We found that the core body temperature in the experimental group was higher than that of control group. We also found hat the heart rate in experimental group was significantly lower (p<0.05) than that of control group for 90 minutes after 30 minutes of rope-restrained stress. The level of the plasma cortisol of experimental group was significantly lower (p<0.05) than that of control group for 90 minutes after the rope-restrained stress was given. We performed the blood analysis to know whether rope-restrained stress affects RBC, WBC, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and platelet values or not but we could not find the significant difference between control and experimental groups. These results suggest that the administration of xylazine might partially help to reduce rope-restrained stress in cattle.

To prevent cargo accidents by repeated loads, a continuous monitoring for securing rope or additional safety measures are needed, but most of prevention measures have been conducted only by operator's own experience not a quantitative assessment. Hence, the Load-Displacement curve and approximation formula of securing rope were drawn in this research for a quantitative assessment and simplified measurement on a tension of securing rope using a tensiometer. Moreover, a com parison was conducted between m easuring tension and calculated tension on securing rope with portable tensiometer, 'Load-Displacement' approximation formula. The calculated tension of securing rope is obtained 153.3kfg using the formula and that result has not much difference with initial tension 150.0kgf. Lastly, an analysis of the characteristics of various ropes was suggested to enhance the reliability about quantitative assessment of securing rope's tension through further research.

A 23 W continuous wavelength $CO_2$ laser system exited by a high-frequency LCC resonant converter is adapted to cut a biodegradable rope fabricated with polybutylene succinate. As the biodegradable rope consists of three twisted strands, the thickness changes relative to the position of the laser beam and we thus propose a method to determine exact cutting depth. In order to obtain the parameters related to the rope cutting, the experimental and theoretical cutting depths are compared and analyzed for a range of laser heat sources. The melted thickness and groove width of the cut biodegradable rope are also examined. The proposed theoretical cutting depth depends on the incident power and target velocity ratio. From these experimental results, the biodegradable rope with a diameter of 22 mm can be cut with a heat source of 50 J/cm resulting in a melted thickness of 1.96 mm and a groove width of 0.65 mm. The laser system is shown to be perfect tool for the processing of biodegradable rope without the occurrence of raveling.
