The Advanced Generic BOM for Urban Transit (개선된 Generic BOM의 도시철도차량 적용방안)

  • This paper proposes the Advanced Generic BOM(AGBOM) which is more flexible BOM system than existing GBOM. The existing GBOM system has the limitation of Result BOM construction and selecting options by choosing only one Variant under given Cluster. In order to overcome this limitation, AGBOM can make more various Result BOM by selecting several Variants under given Cluster. Also, this paper describes UT-AGBOM which can use to rolling stock through constructing urban transit BOM using the proposed AGBOM. The last, this paper describes the various Result BOM examples constructed from Source BOM of UT-AGBOM, such as rolling-stock maintenance BOM, individual car BOM, etc.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 수도권 전동차량의 주행성능을 평가하는 방법으로 진동성능을 비교검토하기 위하여 실차측정하고 분석한 것이다. 전동차량의 제작년도별로 측정대상차량을 샘플링하여 다양한 조건에서 진동을 측정하고 실측데이타를 시간영역의 통계적 방법으로 분석한 결과 제작년도에 따른 영향도 약간 나타났으며 전동차량의 2차 현가장치의 종류에 따른 영향을 발견할 수 있었다. 또한 측정선로구간의 특성에 따른 영향도 비교적 잘 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • For the reduction and efficient management of railway noise, first of all prediction of railway noise is necessarily requisited. Many studies for prediction of railway nearby noise have been accomplished. But it is impossible to predict easily and exactly for the Korean Railway, because the acoustic powers for each rolling stock operated in Korea have not been built yet. So in this study, prediction model equation for environmental noise for Korean rolling stock Saemaeul was suggested using SEL of engine and roiling noise component separately. Finally for the validation of prediction equation, the predicted result was compared to the measured.

Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow of Brake Disk-lining for Rolling Stock (철도차량용 제동 디스크-라이닝의 열유동 해석)

  • Numerical simulation is conducted to clarify the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of brake disk-lining for rolling stock. Multiple rotational reference frame, k-epsilon turbulent model and SIMPLE algorithm based on finite volume method are used to solve the physical disk-lining model. The governing equations are solved by TDMA(TriDiagonal Matrix Algorithm) with line-by-line method and block correction, From the results of simulation, the characteristics of cooling pattern is strongly affected by the grooves in lining. The face lift of lining affects on the temperature distribution of rear surface of lining as well as the front surface of that. Due to the grooves in lining, it will be expected to extend the maintenance life circle of lining.

  • The welding deformation and its prediction method at the HAZ (Heat-Affected Zone) are presented in this paper. The inherent strain method is well known as analytical method to predict welding deformation of large scale welded structure. Depend on the size of welding deformation in welding joints, the fatigue life, the stress concentration factor and the manufacturing quality of welded structure are decided. Many welded joints and its manufacturing control techniques are also required to railway rolling stock and its structural parts such as railway carbody and bogie frame. Proposed methods in this paper focus on the two different the inherent strain area at HAZ. This is main idea of proposed method and it makes more reliable result of welding deformation analysis at the HAZ.

Influence of Semi-Active Suspension on Running Safety of Vehicles

  • Railway vehicles equipped with semi-active suspension system can improve the ride quality of car bodies. Semi-active suspension system is usually applied onto high speed train, and therefore higher running safety requirement is proposed. The influence of semi-active suspension system on safety of vehicles running on straight line and curve line is studied, and the influences of sky hook damping coefficient and system time-delay on operation safety of cars fitted with semiactive suspension system is analyzed. The results show that the vehicles equipped with semi-active suspension system, not only the vibration of car body is decreased, it can also give little influence on running safety of cars, as a result, it will not endanger the running safety of cars.

  • Most advanced countries are researching to apply light weight materials far rolling stock because weight reduction for railway body derives cost-saving, energy-saving, and high-speed. Likewise, current Korea rolling stock field makes arduous effects of weight-reduction, miniaturization, and high-efficiency to achieve a high-speed railway. Aluminum becomes suitable material for these projects because it is much lighter than steel or stainless. Manufacturing the railway car body by using the Aluminum is increasing because Aluminum is not bringing the corrosion by unique oxidation-passivate. Aluminum extrusion profile far railway body requires a high mechanical property, accurate shape dimension, and stable quality because the railway body is composed with many different kinds of extruded profiles. Therefore, it is necessary to research about Aluminum precision-extrusion technology to maintain exit temperature and die load. The goal of this project is applying the Aluminum extrusion profile to next-generation railway car body by developing the Aluminum extrusion profile according to precision-extrusion technology which may maintain isothermal exit temperature.

  • We analyze the real-field operational results of the RIMS. Four aspects are considered; 1) economical, 2) managerial, 3) safety and reliability and 4) RIMS user evaluation. In economical aspect we investigate the fields where some economical gains are anticipated. In managerial aspect the efficiency and effectiveness of management through RIMS are investigated. The improvement of safety and reliability are qualitatively discussed. And RIMS user evaluation is performed through survey. We also suggest several conditions for the successful settlement of RIMS and future study area for RIMS to be more reliable and perfect.

  • Life cycle of the rolling stock is normally 20 to 40 years, though there is some difference in accordance with each vehicle. Maintenance cost is over the twice of purchasing price. and also it is true that precise statics is not managed properly except for some developed countries due to the difference of maintenance method, skills. After KORAIL introduced ERP system in 2007, maintenance cost is managed by type of cars, by unit. but, afterwards it should be controlled as an index and also more precisely. it is the best pending issues to make train maintenance efficiency, to utilize accumulated indexes. I want to attribute to train maintenance efficiency by analysing what is the problems in the present maintenance method.

  • Even the terms is strange, "new transport system" was introduced into our country with the beginning of Yong-In LRT in 2005. domestic new transport system market amounts to the 13 trillion Won and 78 projects are intended to or already started construction. In the beginning of introduction, overseas rolling stock companies such as simens, bombardier controlled over the rolling stock market, but after Rotem, WooJin rushed into the market, desperate competing system was equipped between internal and external companies. but each system has advantage and disadvantage, so each project should be analyzed technologically and economically in terms of operators and also users. this research can be helpful to introduce optimal system through the each items' analysis.
