Corrosion Resistance by Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Solution for Cold Rolled Steel of SPCC and SPFC590 for Automobile (자동차용 냉연강판 SPCC와 냉연고장력강판 SPCF590의 유/무기 하이브리드 용액에 의한 내식특성)

  • The cold-rolled steel sheet for automobile is liable to corrosion, and will be painting in a variety of ways for the anticorrosive. This paper was coated on cold rolled steel (SPCC and SPFC590) for automobiles using five kinds of organic/inorganic hybrid solution. This was evaluated corrosion resistance and so on by the salt spray. Corrosion area was less according to increasing of curing time in 2 types of steel plate with 5 types of the coating solution. No.1 solution was showed the best corrosion resistance regardless of the kinds of the steel sheet. It is judged that the melamin hardner had the role of bridge between $SiO_2$ polysilicate and urethan resin. Other properties were excellent in all solution.

Changes of Texture and Plastic Strain Ratio of Asymmetrically Rolled and Annealed Cu Sheet (II) (비대칭 압연과 열처리한 Cu 판의 집합조직과 소성변형비 변화 (II))

  • The plastic strain ratio is one of the factors that affect the deep drawability of metal sheets. The plastic strain ratio of fully annealed Cu sheet is low, due to its texture being {001}<100>. In this study, in order to increase the plastic strain ratio of Cu sheets we investigated the effect of two treatments: 1st the sheet was asymmetrically rolled and annealed, and 2nd the sheet was symmetrically and asymmetrically rolled and subsequently annealed. The average plastic strain ratio (Rm) of the initial Cu sheet was 0.95 and |Δr| was 1.27. After the 2nd treatment of 5.3% symmetric rolling and annealing of Cu sheet at 1000℃ for 60 min in Ar gas condition, the Rm was 2.29 times higher and the |Δr| was 1.44 times higher than that of initial Cu sheet specimen. After the 2nd treatment of 8.2% asymmetric rolling and annealing of Cu sheet at 1000℃ for 60 min in Ar gas conditions, the Rm was 2.51 times higher and |Δr| was 0.53 times lower than that of the initial Cu sheet specimen. These results can be attributed to the change in texture of the Cu sheets due to the differences in the two methods of rolling.

  • The drawbead is an important part in sheet metal forming for automotive part and its effect is affected by various process parameters. Therefore in this study, drawbead friction test was performed at various process parameters - panels (cold rolled and galvanized sheet steel), lubricants (having three different viscosities), bead materials(steel, iron) and surface treatment of bead (Cr plating). Circular shape bead has been used for the test. The results show that friction and drawing characteristics were mainly influenced by the nature of zinc coating, viscosity of lubricants, surface treatment of a bead and hardness of coated layer.

The specimens after the asymmetric rolling showed a very fine grain size, a decrease of <100>//ND, and an increase of <111>//ND textures. The change of plastic strain ratios has been investigated and it was found that they were higher than those of the initial Al sheet.

  • This paper deals with the springback characteristics of cold rolled sheet steel through the use of the V-bending process and U-bending one. The influence of material properties on the springback of forming processes was investigated. In the V-bending process there was an optimum bend radius for each combination of parameters which produced minimal springback. In the U-bending process the blank holder force can control the degree of springback. A high blank holding force resulted in a uniform strain distribution and reduced the level of springback.

  • The through-thickness variations of strain and microstructure of high-speed hot rolled 1050 pure aluminum sheet were investigated. The specimens of 1050 aluminum were rolled at temperatures ranging from 410 to $560^{\circ}C$ at a rolling speed of 15 m/s without lubrication and quenched in water at an interval of 30ms after rolling. The redundant shear strain induced by high friction between rolls and the aluminum sheet was increased largely beneath the surface at a rolling reduction above 50%. Recrystallization occurred in the surface regions of the specimen rolled to reduction of 65% at $510^{\circ}C$, while only recovery occurred in the other regions.

  • In order to analyze the effect of leveling conditions on residual stress evolution of hot rolled high strength steels, a numerical algorithm was developed. It was able to implement the effect of plastic fraction (intermesh) in leveling, line tension, work roll bending, and initial residual stress and curl distribution. The effect of work roll bending on residual stress and curl were studied by using the developed program. The validity of simulated results was verified from comparison with the experimentally measured residual stress and curl in a sheet.

  • Purpose of this paper is to accummulate database of automotive steel sheet from mild steel to high strength steel in cold rolled steel sheets. Physical properties, mainly mechanical properties, of steel sheet are tested and all data are arranged to one sheet. Methods of test are composed of FLD, tensile strength test, chemical composition, surface roughness and product conditions. Finally this database will be helpful to automotive body designers and die designers to design automotive body parts and tools in a material point of view.
