  • This paper proposes a robustness watermarking for 3D mesh model based on projection onto convex sets (POCS). After designing the convex sets for robustness and invisibility among some requirements for watermarking system, a 3D-mesh model is projected alternatively onto two constraints convex sets until the convergence condition is satisfied. The robustness convex set are designed for embedding the watermark into the distance distribution of the vertices to robust against the attacks, such as mesh simplification, cropping, rotation, translation, scaling, and vertex randomization. The invisibility convex set are designed for the embedded watermark to be invisible. The decision values and index that the watermark was embedded with are used to extract the watermark without the original model. Experimental results verify that the watermarked mesh model has invisibility and robustness against the attacks, such as translation, scaling, mesh simplification, cropping, and vertex randomization.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel digital watermarking method by virtual optics which secures multimedia information such as images, videos and sounds. To secure the multimedia data, we use Fresnel transform which describes the diffraction phenomena of the waves. Also, this method attaches the random phase function to Fresnel transform so that original image and watermark image would be gaussian random vectors. The complex numbers of watermark by Fresnel transform are separated the real part and the imaginary part. The former is embedded in original image as a encoding key imperceptibly and the latter is used for detecting the watermark as a decoding key. This method for digital watermarking ensures that watermark can be successfully registered and extracted from the watermarked image. Further, it provides the robustness to signal processing operation and geometric distortion and proves the strong resilience against cropping attack. The performance evaluation of the experiment is carried out with PSNR, and the numerical simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed method.

  • Digital image watermarking is the method that can protect the copyright of the image by embedding copyright information, which is called watermark. Watermarking must have robustness to intentional or unintentional data changing, called attack. The conventional watermarking schemes are robust to waveform attacks such as image compression, filtering etc. However, they are vulnerable to geometrical attacks such as rotation, scaling, translation, and cropping. Accordingly, this paper proposes new watermarking scheme that is robust to geometrical attacks by using invariant centroid. Invariant centroid is the gravity center of a central area in a gray scale image that remains unchanged even when the image is attacked by RST including cropping and proposed scheme uses invariant centroids of original and inverted image as the template. To make geometrically invariant domain, template and angle compensated Log -Polar Map(LPM) is used. Then Discrete Cosine Transform(DCT) is performed and the watermark is embedded into the DCT coefficients. Futhermore, to prevent a watermarked image from degrading due to interpolation during coordinate system conversion, only the image of the watermark signal is extracted and added to the original image. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme is especially robust to RST attacks including cropping.

  • In this paper, we focus on digital watermarking for color images. At first, in order to embed the watermark signal in color image, we converted RGB color space to YCbCr color space which is a world-wide digital component video standard. In addition, we adopted the acceptable degree of color difference in order to keep the invisibility.

  • In this paper, we propose a non-blind watermarking method that embeds a pseudo-random sequence (watermarks) into wavelet DC components. The DC area is not suitable for embedding because of severe visual degradation. We overcome the degradation problem by embedding watermarks into visually insensitive locations. We compare our experimental results with respect to JPEG compression with Cox’s popular correlation-based method. We also compare the robustness of our technique with other methods registered in CheckMark. This study reveals that the proposed method simultaneously provides good fidelity in quality as well as robustness against external attacks.

  • In this paper, we proposed a digital image watermarking technique using scrambled binary phase computer generated hologram in the discrete cosine transform(DCT) domain. For the embedding process of watermark. Using simulated annealing algorithm, we would generate a binary phase computer generated hologram(BPCGH) which can reconstruct hidden image perfectly instead of hidden image and encrypt it through the scramble operation. We multiply the encrypted watermark by the weight function and embed it into the DC coefficients in the DCT domain of host image and an inverse DCT is performed. For the extracting process of watermark, we compare the DC coefficients of watermarked image and original host image in the DCT domain and dividing it by the weight function and decrypt it using descramble operation. And we recover the hidden image by inverse Fourier transforming the decrypted watermark. Finally, we compute the correlation between the original hidden image and recovered hidden image to determine if a watermark exits in the host image. The proposed watermarking technique use the hologram information of hidden image which consist of binary values and scramble encryption technique so it is very secure and robust to the various external attacks such as compression, noises and cropping. We confirmed the advantages of the proposed watermarking technique through the computer simulations.

  • Since the introduction of MP3 players, CD recordings have gradually been vanishing, and the music consuming environment of music users is shifting to mobile devices. The introduction of smart devices has increased the utilization of music through music playback, mass storage, and search functions that are integrated into smartphones and tablets. At the time of initial MP3 player supply, the bitrate of the compressed music contents generally was 128 Kbps. However, as increasing of the demand for high quality music, sound quality of 384 Kbps appeared. Recently, music content of FLAC (Free License Audio Codec) format using lossless compression method is becoming popular. The download service of many music sites in Korea has classified by unlimited download with technical protection and limited download without technical protection. Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology is used as a technical protection measure for unlimited download, but it can only be used with authenticated devices that have DRM installed. Even if music purchased by the user, it cannot be used by other devices. On the contrary, in the case of music that is limited in quantity but not technically protected, there is no way to enforce anyone who distributes it, and in the case of high quality music such as FLAC, the loss is greater. In this paper, the author proposes an audio watermarking technology for copyright protection of high quality stereo music. Two kinds of information, "Copyright" and "Copy_free", are generated by using the turbo code. The two watermarks are composed of 9 bytes (72 bits). If turbo code is applied for error correction, the amount of information to be inserted as 222 bits increases. The 222-bit watermark was expanded to 1024 bits to be robust against additional errors and finally used as a watermark to insert into stereo music. Turbo code is a way to recover raw data if the damaged amount is less than 15% even if part of the code is damaged due to attack of watermarked content. It can be extended to 1024 bits or it can find 222 bits from some damaged contents by increasing the probability, the watermark itself has made it more resistant to attack. The proposed algorithm uses quantization in DCT so that watermark can be detected efficiently and SNR can be improved when stereo music is converted into mono. As a result, on average SNR exceeded 40dB, resulting in sound quality improvements of over 10dB over traditional quantization methods. This is a very significant result because it means relatively 10 times improvement in sound quality. In addition, the sample length required for extracting the watermark can be extracted sufficiently if the length is shorter than 1 second, and the watermark can be completely extracted from music samples of less than one second in all of the MP3 compression having a bit rate of 128 Kbps. The conventional quantization method can extract the watermark with a length of only 1/10 compared to the case where the sampling of the 10-second length largely fails to extract the watermark. In this study, since the length of the watermark embedded into music is 72 bits, it provides sufficient capacity to embed necessary information for music. It is enough bits to identify the music distributed all over the world. 272 can identify $4*10^{21}$, so it can be used as an identifier and it can be used for copyright protection of high quality music service. The proposed algorithm can be used not only for high quality audio but also for development of watermarking algorithm in multimedia such as UHD (Ultra High Definition) TV and high-resolution image. In addition, with the development of digital devices, users are demanding high quality music in the music industry, and artificial intelligence assistant is coming along with high quality music and streaming service. The results of this study can be used to protect the rights of copyright holders in these industries.
