A Watermarking Scheme for Shapefile-Based GIS Digital Map Using Polyline Perimeter Distribution

  • This paper proposes a robust watermarking scheme for GIS digital map by using the geometric properties of polyline and polygon, which are the fundamental components in vector data structure. In the proposed scheme, we calculate the lengths and the perimeters of all polylines and polygons in a map and cluster them to a number of groups. Then we embed the binary watermark by changing the mean of lengths and perimeters in an embedding group. For improving the safety and robustness, we permute the binary watermark through PRNS(pseudo-random number sequence) processing and embed it repeatedly in a model. Experimental results verified that our scheme has a good invisibility, safety and robustness to various geometric attacks and also our scheme needs not the original map in the extracting process of watermark.

  • 광대역 네트워크의 발달과 함께 멀티미디어 산업의 발달은 IPTV와 같은 디지털 콘텐츠 시장의 확산을 가져오고 있다. 일반적으로 셋탑박스와 같은 미들웨어를 통해서 습득한 디지털 콘텐츠는 PC 재생기를 이용하여 시청할 수 있다. 이 때 PC 재생기는 코덱정보, 비트레이트 등과 같은 정보만 알 수 있다. 그러나 일반 사용자들은 이러한 정보보다 콘텐츠의 내용, 설명 등과 같은 부가 정보를 보기 원한다. 따라서 기존의 PC 재생기와 달리 데이터베이스 사용하지 않고 셋탑박스를 통해서 습득한 콘텐츠 내에 삽입되어 있는 EPG 정보를 볼 수 있는 재생기를 PC상에 설계하였다. 콘텐츠 내에 EPG 정보를 삽입하기 위해서 DCT 기반의 블라인드 워터마크를 제안한다. 이는 콘텐츠 원본 없이도 정보를 추출할 수 있고, 주파수 영역에서 계수값에 비례하여 강인한 워터마크를 삽입 할 수 있다. 그리고 EPG 정보로부터 원하는 정보를 워터마크를 통하여 삽입하기 위하여 MPEG-TS에 포함된 PSI 정보를 분석하고 분리하였으며, 삽입된 콘텐츠로부터 EPG 정보를 추출하여 UI를 구성하였다. 또한 워터마크 삽입 및 추출, 콘텐츠 재생 등의 기능을 다이렉트쇼 필터를 기반으로 설계하여 시스템을 모듈화 하였다. 따라서 개발자들이 보다 쉽고, 빠르게 시스템을 개발할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 2차원 바코드를 이용한 오디오 워터마킹 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 삽입되는 워터마크 정보로는 2차원 바코드인 QR 코드를 변형하여 이용하였다. 2차원 바코드가 1차원 바코드에 비하여 많은 정보를 표현할 수 있고, 코드자체가 에러 보정능력을 내재하고 있는 장점을 이용하여 워터마킹 알고리즘의 견고성을 높였다. 또한 부분적인 워터마크 정보의 손실에 대응하기 위하여 직교코드를 이용하여 삽입대역을 확산했으며, 삽입강도 0.7에서 50dB 이상의 우수한 품질을 확보할 수 있었다.

MPEG 비디오를 위한 하이브리드 워터마킹 알고리즘 (Hybrid Watermarking Algorithm for MPEG Video)

  • In this paper, we propose a hybrid watermarking algorithm for an MPEG bitstream. Our hybrid watermarking technique uses a spread spectrum technique for I-frames and a motion vector technique for P- and B-frames. Thus, the proposed algorithm makes it possible to watermark all MPEG frames. By applying this technique, it is possible not only to protect intellectual property rights but also be robust against various kinds of attacks to remove watermark. And this scheme requires only partial decoding of an MPEG bitstream, so it is applicable to real-time watermarking applications.

Cellular Automata Transform based Invisible Digital Watermarking in Middle Domain for Gray Images

  • Cellular automata are discrete dynamical systems, which provide the basis for the synthesis of complex emergent behavior. This paper proposes a new algorithm of digital watermarking based on cellular automata transform (CAT). The idea of two-dimensional CAT is introduced into the algorithm. After the original image is disassembled with 2D CAT, the watermark information is embedded into the Middle-frequency of the carrier picture. Cellular automata have a huge number of combinations, such as gateway values, rule numbers, initial configuration, boundary condition, etc. Using CAT, the robustness of the watermark will be tremendous strengthened as well as its imperceptibility. Experimental results show that this algorithm can resist some usual attacks such as compression, sharpening and so on. The proposed method is robust to different attacks and is more security.

  • Digital watermarking has gained importance in recent years in copyright protection and multimedia. This paper proposes a secure and novel watermarking system based on complemented Maximum Length Cellular Automata (MLCA) and Two-Dimension Cellular Automata Transform (2D CAT). In this watermarking scheme, the original watermark is first encrypted by complemented MLCA with the private keys, and then the encrypted watermark is embedded into the CAT domain of the cover image, at last use the inverse CAT for the transformed image, the watermarked image is obtained. Experiment results show that this new method is more secure and provides robust performance against watermarking attacks.

  • 본 논문에서는 이미지 데이터의 저작권 보호를 위해 워터마크 삽입시 워터마크 영상에 DM-SS 기법을 적용하고 DM-SS 방식에서의 Burst성 에러에 강인한 Reed-Solomon 부호화를 적용하여 워터마크 복원에 대한 성능 개선을 하였다. 그리고 영상에 대한 외부 공격으로는 OFDM/QPSK 전송 시스템을 이용하여 전송 시 생기는 여러 가지 요인을 고려하였다.

Watermarking for Digital Images Using Differences and Means of the Neighboring Wavelet Coefficients

  • In this paper, a watermarking technique for digital images is proposed. In our method, an image is 1-1eve1 wavelet transformed, and then the watermark of a binary stamp is embedded into the baseband. The watermark is embedded by inverting the polarities of the selected coefficient pairs. In the inverting process, we can increase perceptual image quality by finding means and differences of the selected neighboring coefficient pairs, and then adding values, which are inversely proportional to the differences, to the means. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good quality and is robust to JPEG lossy compression and various image processing operations.

  • In this paper we propose a new watermarking scheme using a data matrix and a cryptograph key. The data matrix of two-dimensional bar codes is a new technology capable of holding relatively large amounts of data compared to the conventional one-dimensional bar code. And a cryptograph key is used to prevent a watermark from malicious attacks. We encoded the copyright information into a data matrix bar code, and it was spread as a pseudo random pattern using the owner key. The experimental results show that the proposed scheme has good quality and is robust to various attacks, such as JPEG compression, filtering and resizing. Also the performance of the proposed scheme is verified by comparing the copyright information with the information which is extracted from the watermark.
