The aims of this paper is to develop a modular agricultural robot and its autonomous driving algorithm that can be used in field farming. Actually, it is difficult to develop a controller for autonomous agricultural robot that transforming their dynamic characteristics by installation of machine modules. So we develop for the model based control algorithm of rotary machine connected to agricultural robot. Autonomous control algorithm of agricultural robot consists of the path control, velocity control, orientation control. To verify the developed algorithm, we used to analytical techniques that have the advantage of reducing development time and risks. The model is formulated based on the multibody dynamics methods for high accuracy. Their model parameters get from the design parameter and real constructed data. Then we developed the co-simulation that is combined between the multibody dynamics model and control model using the ADAMS and Matlab simulink programs. Using the developed model, we carried out various dynamics simulation in the several rotation speed of blades.

This paper proposes an RBFN-based adaptive tracking controller for an electrically driven mobile robot with parametric uncertainties and external disturbances. A mobile robot model considered in this paper includes all models of the robot body and actuators with uncertain kinematic and dynamic parameters, and uncertain frictions and external disturbances. The proposed controller consists of an RBFN(Radial Basis Function Network) and a robust adaptive controller. The presented RBFN is used to approximate unknown nonlinear robot dynamic functions. The proposed controller is adjusted by the adaptation laws obtained through the Lyapunov stability analysis. The proposed control scheme does not a priori need the accurate knowledge of all parameters in the robot kinematics, robot dynamics and actuator dynamics. Also, nominal parameter values are not required in the controller. The global stability of the closed-loop robot control system is guaranteed using the Lyapunov stability theory. Simulation results show the validity and robustness of the proposed control scheme.

This paper describes a robot simulator which enables a user to model a robot geometrically, and to evaluate performances of various robot control algorithms as well as to obtain physical understanding of robot and acruator dynamics. To achieve these goals, the kinematics and dynamics of a robot and interactive 3-D computer graphics which visulaize the motion of the robot were studied. The developed robot simulator consists of two parts:a dynamic simulator and a graphic simulator. To evaluate the robot simulator PUMA-560, Stanford arm, and RHINO robot were considered and a DG MV/10000 super mini-computer and an IBM-PC/XT personal computer were used.
A learning controller is presented for repetitive walking motion of biped robot. The learning control scheme learns the approximate inverse dynamics input of biped walking robot and uses the learned input pattern to generate an input profile of different walking motion from that learnt. In the learning controller, the PID feedback controller takes part in stabilizing the transient response of robot dynamics while the feedforward learning controller plays a role in computing the desired actuator torques for feedforward nonlinear dynamics compensation in steady state. It is shown that all the error signals in the learning control system are bounded and the robot motion trajectory converges to the desired one asymptotically. The proposed learning control scheme is ...

Most of large scale solar panel handling robots adopt the timing-belt drive system for its driveline because of the simplicity and the easiness of implementation. The vibration caused by the flexure of the timing belt would increase as the size and the weight of the panel that the robot handles increase and the vibration would deteriorate the precision and/or productivity of the whole robot system. For the development of a proper control system and for the improvement of the design of the robot it is important to estimate the oscillatory response of the robot system including the flexible drive system properly. In this paper a flexible multi-body dynamics model of a large-scale solar-panel-handling robot with the flexible timing-belt drive system is developed using a generic multi-body dynamics analysis program, RecurDyn.

In this paper, we deal with the dynamic walking of a humanoid robot. In our method, the inverted pendulum model is used as a dynamic model for a humanoid robot in which the Zero Moment Point (ZMP) and COG constraints of the robot are analyzed by considering the motion of the robot as that of an inverted pendulum. The motion of a humanoid robot should be generated by considering the dynamics of the robot, which commonly requires a large amount of computation. If a robot walks from one position to another while keeping the ZMP in the stable region, then the robot remains dynamically stable. The linear inverted pendulum model regards the whole robot as a point mass. It is simple, and relatively less computation is needed; however, it cannot model the whole dynamics of a humanoid robot. We propose a method for modeling a humanoid robot as an inverted pendulum system having 14 point masses. We also show that the dynamic stability of a humanoid robot can be determined more precisely by our method.

A newly designed haptic interface enables an operator to control a remote robot precisely. It transmits position information to the remote robot and feeds back the interaction force from it. A control algorithm of haptic interface has been studied to improve the robustness and stability to uncertain dynamic environments with a proposed contact dynamic model that incorporates human hand dynamics. A simplified hybrid parallel robot dynamic model fur a 6 DOF haptic device was proposed to from a real time control system, which does not include nonlinear components. LQC/LTR scheme was adopted in this paper for the compensation of un-modeled dynamics. The recovery of the farce from the remote robot at the haptic interface was demonstrated through the experiments.

Delta parallel robots are now widely used for high-speed applications. However, typical Delta robots, such as ABB Flexpicker suffer from rotating axis with passive prismatic joint subjected to critical speed and so requiring careful maintenance. In this paper, a novel 4-DOF high-speed parallel robot with four legs is presented, which consists of three legs with 90 degree arrangement for translational motions and one remaining leg with rack & pinion gears for rotational motion. The inverse kinematics, velocity, acceleration, statics, and inverse dynamics have been analyzed. From the workspace analysis and inverse dynamics simulation for 0.43 sec cycle time, the 4-axis parallel robot prototype with 12kg payload has been designed. In the future research, computed torque control methods will be developed for the prototype.

In this paper a new concept, named the Extended Operational Space Formulation, has been proposed for the effective analysis and real-time control of the robot manipulators with kinematic redundancy. The extended operational space consists of operational space and optimal null space. The operational space is used to describe robot end-effector motion; whereas the optimal null space, defined as the target space of the self motion manifold, is used to express the self motion for the secondary tasks. Based upon the proposed formulation, the kinematics, statics, and dynamics of redundant robots have been analyzed, and an efficient control algorithm has been proposed. Using this algorithm, one can optimize a performance measure while tracking a desired end-effector trajectory with a better computational efficiency than the conventional methods. The effective ness of the proposed method has been demonstrated with simulations.

This paper describes a tracking control for the mobile robot based on fuzzy systems. Since the mobile robot has the nonholonomic constraints, these constraints should be considered to design a tracking controller for the mobile robot. One of the well-known tracking controllers for the mobile robot is the back-stepping controller. The conventional back-stepping controller includes the dynamics and kinematics of the mobile robot. The conventional back-stepping controller is affected by the derived velocity reference by a kinematic controller. To improve the performance of the conventional back-stepping controller, this paper uses the fuzzy systems known as the nonlinear controller. The new velocity reference for the back-stepping controller is derived through the fuzzy inference. Fuzzy rules are selected for gains of the kinematic controller. The produced velocity reference has properly considered the varying reference trajectories. Simulation results show that the proposed controller is more robust than the conventional back-stepping controller.
