Comparison of Vibration Characteristics at the Freight Compartment of a Truck with and without Air Spring on the Rear Axle (에어서스펜션 장착 전후의 화물트럭 적재함의 진동 특성 비교)

  • This paper presented comparison of vibration characteristics of a 5-ton truck at the two kinds of rear axle suspension, a conventional leaf spring suspension and an air spring suspension. Vibration at the selected location in the freight compartment and the rear axle were measured while the vehicle was running on various kinds of road at the specified speed. At all kinds of the driving conditions used in the test the air spring suspension showed good performance of vibration attenuation, especailly at the frequency range of under 5 Hz.

A Research on Energy Cost of Electric Vehicles and Gasoline Vehicle in On-road Use Condition (가솔린자동차와 전기자동차의 에너지비용 조사)

  • 대우자동차는 1992년 이래로 전기자동차 개발사업을 추진하고 있으며 1996년에는 전기자동차의 Fleet 운영시험을 위해 10대의 씨에로 개조형 전기자동차를 제작하였다. 이 씨에로 전기자동차에는 고성능 연축전지, 교류유도전동기, 탑재형 충전기 및 전동조향배력장치 등이 장착되어 있으며 고등기술연구원에서는 전기자동차의 Fleet 운영시험의 일환으로 시외 일반도로 운행조건에서 전기자동차의 에너지비용을 조사하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 두 대의 씨에로 전기자동차를 용인시와 안성군 지역의 일반도로에서 1998년 4월부터 운행하였으며 이 운행시험 결과를 바탕으로 일반도로 주행조건에서 씨에로 전기자동차의 에너지비용과 동급의 가솔린자동차인 씨에로 1.5DOHC A/T 차량의 에너지비용을 계산하였다. 두 대의 전기자동차중 한 대의 연비는 5.7 km/kWh이었으며, 다른 한 대의 연비는 5.8 km/kWh이었다. 이에 비해 가솔린자동차의 연비는 13.7 km/l로 년간 20,000 km를 주행한다고 가정할 때 가솔린자동차의 년간 주행비용은 전기자동차의 3.4∼18.0배가 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이 시험을 통해 향후 전기자동차의 개발을 위해 유용하고 가치있는 많은 데이터를 얻었다.

  • Mobile Mapping Systems using the vehicle equipped the GPS, IMU, CCD Cameras is the effective system for the management of the road facilities, update of the digital map, and etc. They must provide users with the sensor data which is acquired by Mobile Mapping Systems in real-time so that users can process what they want by using the latest data. But it' s not an easy process because the amount of sensor data is very large, particularly image data to be transmitted. So it is necessary to reduce the amount of image data so that it is transmitted effectively. In this study, the effective method was suggested for the compression/decompression image data using the Wavelet Transformation and Huffman Coding. This technique will be possible to transmit of the geographic information effectively such as position data, attitude data, and image data acquired by Mobile Mapping Systems in the wireless internet environment when data is transmitted in real-time.

  • 오늘날 실시간 하에서 자동적인 교통정보의 분석은 IVHS(Intelligent Vehicle High-way Systems)의 많은 분야에서 필수적으로 사용된다. 또한 바쁜 현대인들이 러시아워에서 교통이 다소 원활한 지역으로 이동하여 시간을 절약하고자 교통 정보를 이용하고자 한다. 하지만 모바일폰은 작은 디스플레이, 메모리, 전원 장치 등등의 제약 사항을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 제약을 가지고 있는 도로 교통 영상 스트림을 모바일폰에서 서비스하기 위한 실시간 비디오 처리 방법을 제안한다. 영상 스트림의 시간적 정보를 바탕으로 프레임 율을 조절하는 시간적 처리 방안과 불필요한 영역제거, 이미지 크기 변환, 칼라 수 줄이기등의 공간적 활용 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이와 더불어 모바일폰에서의 질 높은 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 비디오 스트림을 이루는 이미지 각각에 대한 이미지 질 향상에 대한 처리 방법들을 제안 하고자 한다. 본 연구의 실험으로 모바일폰에서 효율적인 도로 교통 영상 서비스를 제공할 수 있음을 알 수 있다.

Study on Robust Driving for Autonomous Vehicle in Real-Time (자율주행차량의 실시간 강건한 주행을 위한 연구)

  • In this paper, we describe a robust image processing algorithm to recognize the road lane in real-time. For the real-time processing, a detection area is decided by a lane segment of a previous frame and edges are detected on the basis of the lane width. For the robust driving, the global threshold with the Otsu algorithm is used to get a binary image in a frame. Therefore, reliable edges are obtained from the algorithms suggested in this paper in a short time. Lastly, the lane segment is found by hough transform. We made a RC(Radio Control) car equipped with a vision system and verified these algorithms using the RC Car.

  • It is necessary to consider the stability, economic environmental-friendly problems by the development of the road, supply of the automobile, environmental problem as designing the exhaust system. To reduce the noise and the vibration of the automobile. The need for stricter regulation limits emission and demand for lower fuel comsumption. According to motor vehicle company develop variable type muffler, dual muffler and active intelligence exhaust system unit. Improvement in engine performance and fuel consumption for demand information of pressure fraction and heat characteristics. To be able to determine these factor for we experiment on each case of exhaust system unit. In this study, in order to establish the optimized conditions design factors which are taking many performance as the variable valve, it shows how the standard performance and the additional element of the exhaust system effects on the engine performance.

  • The ride quality of agricultural tractor seats is evaluated based on the vibration of the human bodies. Tractor ride vibration levels have been measured at the person-seat interface along 7 axes(3 translational axes at the feet, 3 translational axes on a seat surface and 1 axis at the seat back), under different operating conditions. Since one of the most important parameters for ride comfort is the level and duration of the root mean square acceleration experienced, the ride values, such as the seat effective amplitude transmissibility, the component ride value, and the overall ride value based on acceleration root mean square are evaluated for a conventional tractor using frequency weighting functions and axis multiplying factors. The ride indices are also studied considering to the variation of vehicle speed and road profile.

Studies of $VOC_s$ Emission Rate Calculation in the Kwang-ju Area (광주지역의 $VOC_s$ 배출량산정에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted from January to December in Kwang-ju city, 1999. Calculated methods were studied by emission factors in each industrial species. The results was that total emission rate of VOC was calculated at a mount of 12305 ton/year as coating(49.4) > vehicles(27.4) > gasoline vapors(6.1) > petroleum refineries(5.6) > graphic arts(4.4) > road covering(4.1) > dry cleang(3.0%) respectively. In vehicles emission rate, passenger car and taxi were about 2,700 ton/yr(60%) of total vehicle emission(3,300 ton/yr). The amount of building emission rate was about 1,900 ton/yr(30%) of total coating emission 6,083 ton/yr.

Content Analysis of Main National Environmental Dispute Cases from Five Recent Years (최근 5년간 주요 중앙환경분쟁조정 사건의 내용 분석)

  • In this study, we analyzed the content and compensation factors of 337 cases of national environmental disputes from five recent years (2000~2014). Causes of damage were noise-vibration in 234 cases (69%), sunlight in 48 cases (14%), air pollution in 19 cases (6%), water pollution in 15 cases (4%), odor in 13 cases (4%), and others factors in 8 cases (3%). Sources of damage were construction in 224 cases (66%), structures in 36 cases (11%), vehicle on road in 31 cases (9%), industry in 18 cases (5%), environmental facility in 11 cases (3%), livestock facility in 6 cases (2%), and other sources in 11 cases (3%). From the results of logistic regression analysis, important factors associated with compensation were found to be damage amount, damage distance, zoning districts, source, and administrative disposition.

  • Recent research has been devoted and focused on detecting pedestrian and vehicle in intelligent vehicles except for the vulnerable road user(VRUS). In this paper suggest a new projection method which has robustness for rotation invariant and reducing dimensionality for each cell from original image to detect two-wheeler. We applied new weighting values which are calculated by maximum curvature containing very important object shape features and uniform local binary pattern to remove the noise. This paper considered the Adaboost algorithm to make a strong classification from weak classification. Experiment results show that the new approach gives higher detection accuracy than of the conventional method.
