Purpose: This study was carried out to identify factors influencing osteoporosis in women at pre- and post-menopausal state. Methods: The subjects of this study were 52 pre-menopausal and 125 post-menopausal women who were assessed of bone density in one general hospital. The data were collected through review of clinical records and telephone interviews using a questionnaire. Results: In the pre-menopausal women, the factors influencing osteoporosis were regular exercise (protective factor) and age (risk factor). Regression analysis showed that the factors attributable to osteoporosis included educational level, weight, age and number of pregnancy, accounted for 41.89% of the total variance. In the post-menopausal women. the factors influencing osteoporosis were age (risk factor), low educational level (risk factor), low economical state (risk factor), high parity (risk factor), and intake of coffee (protective factor). Regression analysis also showed that factors attributable to their osteoporosis included age, educational level, number of delivery, intake of the coffee, regular exercise, number of pregnancy and duration of oral pill intake, accounted for 37.41 % of the total variance. Conclusion: In pre-menopausal women, regular exercise was one of the most powerful determinant of their bone mass. Therefore, it is necessary to participate in a regular exercise program to maintain peak bone mass density prior to the onset of menopause. In post-menopausal women, increased age was the most influencing factor of their bone mass. Therefore, it is essential to establish early diagnosis and management of osteoporosis after menopause.

Designers and builders are omitting structural design and relying on workers' experience, due to the lack of awareness of the importance of scaffolding in domestic construction sites, and there is a high probability of collapsing accidents such as inappropriate wall joint installation and non-compliance with work procedures. Therefore, risk factors were analyzed in detail and major risk factors were derived from opinions of site managers and scaffolding experts in this study.
This study is to examine the workers' awareness of the safety in logistic centers. For that purpose, the exploratory factor analysis of workers' safety awareness in logistic centers was performed at first, and the 6 variables extracted from the factor analysis were then used to investigate the difference in intergroup awareness of the safety environment in the logistic centers. We administered a survey to 147 workers attending the logistic centers and collected data from them. The results of the study showed that the intergroup awareness of the safety environment turned out to be statistically different from each other in terms of working environment, safe behavior, work risk, safety knowledge and effort, risk justification and compromising attitudes. Experiences in industrial accidents influenced awareness of working environment, work risk and risk justification. The group who experienced accidents is more likely to feel risky and unsatisfied with working place, and their awareness toward risk justification was high as well. It was also observed that there exists awareness difference between manager group and worker group. The group who manages the working place showed more positive awareness of working environment, safe behavior, work risk, safety knowledge and effort, risk justification and compromising attitudes than the worker group. On the contrary, the worker group showed high recognition in risk of working place, and felt that they are willing to compromise on safety for increasing production. The scale of the logistic center produced negative influence on awareness of safety. The group in small logistic center showed the highest awareness in safety, whereas the group in large logistic center with more than 100 workers showed the highest awareness in risk. They are more likely to deviate from correct and safe work procedures due to over-familiarity with the job, as well. The findings suggest that there is a need for the safety management and education to change the workers' understanding and attitudes towards safety.
The underground buried pipelines of Natural gas are relatively safer than any other pipelines of chemical plants, because Natural gas is non-corrosive fluid. But Natural gas is supplied normally the downtown area. So, it may be a disaster because of corrosion which is caused interference facilities, environment and third party accident which is caused facilities construction. Especially, it is very difficult to find out and inspect damages of pipeline because of buried pipelines. Therefore this paper approached to select and manage risk region pipelines according to introduction of underground buried pipeline's risk concept. Risk was indicated three parts - corrosion factor, design and construction factor, maintence and management factor - in this paper, Therefore qualitive risk of pipelines showed score as quantitative number. Also it was thought to be helpful in confidence and safety management that the concept of key index and failure supplementation measures to cost introduces this program. We developed this risk assessment program using visual basic tool and interfaced GIS.

The Risks in undertaking a construction project comes from many sources and often involves many participants in the project. This study has identified various kinds of risks, assessed the risk factors quantitatively and suggested risk management method for response pertinent in Design Build(Turn Key)type of projects in Korean context. A questionnaire was designed comprising of 145 possible risks in all types of construction projects. The population from owner, consultant and contractor groups was asked to indicate the risks applicable in DB projects. 25 numbers of critical risks in DB projects were identified and further analyzed for reveling inherent relationship between them through factor analysis. Factor analysis revealed 8 risk factors in DB projects. Construction site related, contract related and design related risk factor consisted about 72% of total risk weight. It has been found out about 6%, while considering the mutual dependency, it is about 10% of total cost of DB project. Therefore, It is suggested that 6% to 10% of construction amount as contingency has to be made provision for risk responses in the DB projects.

To assess the risk of marine traffic environments, with high confidential level, the risk factors comprising it should be identified and the risk acceptance criteria should be also provided. Furthermore, the relative importance of each risk factor(the weight of each risk factor on total risk) should be analyzed because the risk is expressed as the sum of risk factors comprising it. The twenty kinds of risk factors and its assessment criteria were suggested for the domestic marine traffic environments by an examination of the existing risk assessment models on the previous studies. The relative importance of each risk factor was also analyzed through the questionnaire using analytic hierarchy process by the marine traffic experts on the same studies. Based on these previous studies, the risk was evaluated at the port of Mokpo and its approaches on this study. The port of Mokpo and its approaches were divided into four sectors for the comparative evaluation, the result of the comparative evaluation on four sectors showed that the risk of the Jeongdeung-hae passage is the highest due to higher risk level of some risk factors(water movements, complexities, tug boats, pilotage, VTS) than the other sectors. The result of this evaluation is in accord with the analysis results of the other studies using various qualitative or quantitative risk analysis methods at the same sea areas.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this study is to understand the difference in the risk factors of coronary artery disease (CAD) between Korean and American CAD patients to determine the discriminant factor for each group, as well as to provide useful information to be reflected in the national concern of health. METHODS: Data were collected from 248 Korean and 107 American CAD patients who underwent either percutaneous coronary intervention or coronary artery bypass grafting. By using t-test and $X^2$-test, risk factors were compared between the Koreans and Americans. To elucidate which risk factor was the most discriminant for each group, logistic regression analysis was performed. RESULTS: All risk factors, except diastolic blood pressure, showed a significant difference between the two groups. $X^2$-test showed statistical significance with respect to the smoking rate between the female groups. Moreover, there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups regarding blood total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride, and between the male groups, here was a statistically significant difference with respect to blood high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL). Diabetes mellitus (DM) was the most discriminant factor for Korean patients while TC/HDL is the most discriminant for the Americans. CONCLUSION: The characteristics of CAD risk factors were determined to be different between Koreans and Americans in this study. TC/HDL was a discriminant factor for Americans while DM was a discriminant factor for Koreans. This result implies that DM should primarily be given attention to prevent CAD in Korean adults.
Purpose - This study aims to illustrate the relationship between demographic factors and perceived risk types, supposing that Korean customers tend to postpone buying or hesitate to purchase the new version of hand sets, because of an early buying risk. Research design, data, and methodology - In addition to existing perceived risk types, the authors introduced an early buying risk. In order to measure each variable, also, the study has employed a five-point Liker-scale. To increase research reliability and validity, the research adopted an exploratory factor analysis, a confirmatory factor analysis, and one-way ANOVA. Results - First, there were statistically significant differences between financial risk and the group. Second, there weren't any statistically significant differences between the group means among the four perceived risk types (Performance Risk, Social Risk, Psychological Risk, and Physical Risk) and 4 factors (Gender, Age, Job, and Education). Lastly, job is apparently differentiated from others (Gender, Age, and Education). Conclusions - The authors found that customers regarded an early buying risk as one of the important perceived risk types, when purchasing a hand set.
Accident prevention plan it a construction site should be analyzed and made with risk evaluation and management, from recent year, in Korea. Accidents occurred in construction site are related to all parties such as owner, main and subcontractor, labour. But analyzing some relationship between main and subcontractor is very important to estimate what risk between then are existed in a site. There are some different aspects concerning with risk management between them. Everywork has its own risk in there, This is the reason why everywork which are made by subcontractor himself should be evaluated for risk level. And main contractor should provide for subcontractor to prevent each risk at the work, all the time.

Noise is a major cause of hearing loss in the air base. There are lots of risk factors of hearing loss including noise, and hearing loss can be accelerated by combined effects of these risk factors. Here in, we reviewed risk factors of hearing loss, and analysed key risk factors inducing hearing loss in the air base. Risk factors exacerbating hearing loss with noise were mainly investigated in this research because noise could not be an avoidable risk factor in the air base. Analysed data will contribute to make green environment minimizing hearing loss of pilots and supporting personnels in the air base.
