니트 패션의 미적 특성에 관한 연구 - 패션 잡지에 나타난 국내 니트 디자인을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Aesthetic Characteristics of Korean Knit Fashion)

  • Knit wear with comfortable feeling of wearing and various coordinations gives new values to the modern people, who seek activities and individualities, and the demand for knit wear is on the rise. This article aims to analyze the aesthetic characteristics of Korean knit fashion. Fashion photographs from leading monthly fashion magazines in Korea from 2005 to 2007 had been analyzed. The knitting techniques, and designing characteristics and aesthetic values of Korean knit fashion had been studied. The major conclusions of the study are the following: 1. Korean knit fashion applies various knitting techniques. The knitting techniques used in Korean knit fashion are hand-knitting technique, crochet techniques, lace techniques, plain stitch, rib stitch, and purl stitch technique. 2. Decorations by trimming and matching with different textile materials are used more frequently than decorations by knit material itself. Decorating methods include fringes, spangle, beads, Rhine stone, motif and embroidery decorating. Matching with different textile materials made contrasting decoration effect. 3. Patterms by knitting structure and by arranging colors are applied. Cubic effect by knitting structure patterns, and geometric patterns by arranging colors are emphasized. 4. The formative feature beauties are natural beauty, feminine beauty, and decorative beauty. Korean knit fashion has developed creative and decorative designs through various knitting techniques and decorating techniques. As individual activities may be increased in the future, the designs and applications of knit fashion may be diversified.

Flat-bottomed design philosophy of Y-typed bifurcations in hydropower stations

  • The drainage problem in bifurcations causes pecuniary losses when hydropower stations are undergoing periodic overhaul. A new design philosophy for Y-typed bifurcations that are flat-bottomed is proposed. The bottoms of all pipe sections are located at the same level, making drainage due to gravity possible and shortening the draining time. All fundamental curves were determined, and contrastive analysis with a crescent-rib reinforced bifurcation in an actual project was conducted. Feasibility demonstrations were researched including structural characteristics based on finite element modeling and hydraulic characteristics based on computational fluid dynamics. The new bifurcation provided a well-balanced shape and reasonable stress state. It did not worsen the flow characteristics, and the head loss was considered acceptable. The proposed Y-typed bifurcation was shown to be suitable for pumped storage power stations.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the type of stitch and designs of knitwears using handcraft ornament techniques. This paper will also go on to develop and merchandize high value generated by design development. Knit is largely divided into weft knit stitch and warp knit stitch which are respectively woven by weft knitting machine and warp knitting machine. For clothing, circular knit and flat knit are frequently used while plain stitch, rib stitch and purl stitch are perceived as the basic stitches. Denbigh stitch, cord stitch, atlas stitch, which belong to tricot stitch, are the basic of warp knit stitch. There are also numerous fancy fabrics adapting the previously mentioned stitches and these are made into solid pattern and yarn dyed pattern. The handcraft ornament techniques in knitwears design are embroidery, beads, sequin, stone, printing, applique and fringe, etc. By applying these techniques thus creative expression, which cannot be expressed in other fashion items, is feasible. The women's knitwears are tries by mixed and various techniques, develope to high value knitwears, escaping from simple and practical items.

생활형 보호마스크에 대한 소비자 불편사항 및 요구특성 분석 -자외선 차단마스크와 황사/미세먼지 차단마스크를 중심으로- (Research on Uncomfortableness and Customer Needs of Life-type Protection Mask -Focused on UV Protection Mask and Dust Protection Mask-)

  • This research provides practical data to develop UV protection masks and dust protection masks. It surveyed uncomfortable factors and significant characteristics for masks. It used 653 subjects 20-79 years old and performed the research from April to May in 2014. Wearing masks at outdoor activities is not widely popular yet, but golf players, mountaineers and old people were quite interested in masks. People mainly wore a basic shape mask, but main age group of each mask shape was different. People usually prioritized the protection function and comfort of wearing over design; however, women, young generation and people attending to outdoor activities longer than 1 hour considered design quite important. People going on picnic or camping consider mask characteristics most important. Therefore, various mask shapes and protective functions should be developed to reflect consumer needs. Meanwhile, the discomfort levels of masks were not too high, but old people felt more discomfort than young people. The most discomfort factors were 'other's eye', 'distracting face movement' and 'feeling of foreign object'. They also mentioned falling problem of C shape mask and short-rib shape mask, and asked for a 'tighter fit' at the ear.

남성 시니어 요실금팬티 설계를 위한 제품 분석 연구 (A Study of Product Analysis for Incontinence Products for the Development of Urinary Incontinence Panties for Senior Male)

  • This study aims to contribute to the development of male incontinence underwear with an anti-aging effect that meets customer requirements by examining the types, sorts, sizes and specifications of male incontinence underwear currently sold on the market. The results of an analysis of a total of eight commercial products are as follows. 1) Among the samples, six types of incontinence underwear were of a pull-on style like regular underwear; two types were of a pad insertion style. With respect to the underwear design, four (50%) types of incontinence underwear were brief style. The rest were drawers (3, 37.5%). Only one was of a trunk (12.5%) style. 2) With respect to size, the percentage of Size 3 was 50%, followed by Size 4 (50%). Most of the size of the underwear uses hip measurement whereas Japanese products (3, 37.5 %) use waist circumference. 3) With respect to the materials of the incontinence underwear, natural fibers such as cotton were mostly used and a polyurethane or polyester was mixed to enhance the wearing sensation and stretchability of the underwear. Finally, for the structure of the pad area, a napping finish was the largest (3, 37.5%), single knit 2(25%), twill weave 2(25%), and rib weave 1.

Influence of steel fiber and reinforcing details on the ultimate bearing strength of the post-tensioning anchorage zone

  • In this paper, the effects of steel-fiber and rebar reinforcements on the ultimate bearing strength of the local anchorage zone were investigated based on experiments and comparisons between test results and design-equation predictions (AASHTO 2012, NCHRP 1994). Eighteen specimens were fabricated using the same anchorage device, which is one of the conventional anchorage devices, and two transverse ribs were used to secure an additional bearing area for a compact anchorage-zone design. Eight of the specimens were reinforced with only steel fiber and are of two concrete strengths, while six were reinforced with only rebars for two concrete strengths. The other four specimens were reinforced with both rebars and steel fiber for one concrete strength. The test and the comparisons between the design-equation predictions and the test results showed that the ultimate bearing strength and the section efficiency are highly affected by the reinforcement details and the concrete strength; moreover, the NCHRP equation can be conservatively applied to various local anchorage zones for the prediction of the ultimate bearing strength, whereby conditions such as the consideration of the rib area and the calibration factor are changed.

실험설계법을 이용한 연료전지 분리판 냉각채널 설계 (A Design of the Cooling Channel in the Bipolar Plate of PEMFC Using Experimental Design Method)

  • The heat generation in PEMFC is proportional to the electrical power output. Therefore, when the fuel cell produced the maximum output, the maximum heat was generated. In order to maintain the performance of the fuel cell, thermal management is as important as pressure and humidity conditions of the reactive gas. In this study, considering the thermal management for the maximum output operation, the optimal cooling channel design specifications of bipolar plate are found for the highest cooling performance. In the current bipolar plate research, many studies focused on analyzing various factors individually but there is no more study on the interaction between design factors. In this study, the heat transfer was simulated by COMSOL Multiphysics with the main design factors which are designated shape, width and rib length. One of the experimental design methods, general full factorial design method, was used to analyze the main factor and interaction on average temperature and maximum temperature for the design specification of fuel cell bipolar plate. When analysis result shows that all of these three factors are highly important, it can confirm that the interaction occurs between the factors.

  • 교량 바닥판은 차량하중 및 환경 등의 영향을 직접 받는 부재여서 열화손상에 취약하므로 이에 대한 적절한 보수 및 보강이 필요하다. 그러므로 교량 바닥판의 유지관리를 최소화하고 교량의 설계수명까지의 공용을 위해서는 현재의 바닥판 성능을 개선한 고강도, 고내구성의 바닥판 개발이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 철근콘크리트 바닥판의 문제점을 보완하여 새롭게 개발된 강-콘크리트 합성바닥판의 피로성능을 평가하기 위하여 정적실험을 실시하고, 이를 토대로 피로하중을 선정하고 일정진폭 반복하중 하에서 피로실험을 실시하였다. 이로부터 합성바닥판의 주요 구조상세의 S-N 곡선을 작성하고, 이를 피로설계기준과 비교, 평가하여 피로거동 특성을 규명하고 피로설계지침을 제시하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서 제안된 합성바닥판의 각 구조상세인 절곡강판 상부플랜지 및 절곡강판 중간부, 전단연결재 및 절곡강판 하부플랜지는 모두 충분한 피로강도를 확보하고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서 탑승자 머리 보호를 위한 센터 필라 트림의 리브 패턴 최적설계는 두 가지 방법에 의해 수행된다. 첫째는 실험계획법과 반응표면법을 이용한 근사최적화 기법으로써, 상대적으로 큰 비중을 차지하는 해석비용 저감을 위하여 근사모델 구성에 필요한 최소한의 해석만을 수행하고 실제 최적화 과정에는 구성된 모델을 이용함으로써 근사적으로 최적 점을 찾아가는 방법이다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 시행착오적인 반복과정을 거쳐야 하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 저자들의 선행연구에서 제안한 순차적 실험계획법과 인공신경망을 이용하여 인자의 상한 또는 하한에 걸리지 않는 근사최적 해를 체계적인 반복과정을 통해 도출하고자 하며, 이를 수학적인 예제와 구조물 문제에 적용함으로써 실용성을 확인하고자 한다.

박스형 강합성 교각의 내진 성능 평가를 위한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Seismic Behavior of Box Type Concrete-Filled Steel Piers)

  • The steel piers and the concrete-filled steel piers, in spite of reasonable strength, high ductility, small section, and fast construction, have not been considered as the alternatives to the RC piers even in the highly populated urban area where aseismic safety, limited space and fast construction are indispensably required. In this paper, a steel pier and 4 box type concrete-filled steel piers were tested with the quasi-static cyclic loading to estimate the ductility and the strength. Additional devices such as base rib, turn-buckle, and anchor bolted added at the to increase the ductility with minimum additional cost. The result showed that the concrete filled-in steel piers had higher energy absorbtion and strength than steel piers had, but also showed that slight overlooking in the design and fabrication could lead to the abrupt fracture just after small local buckling at the bottom.
