Urban Housewives제 Value Orientation, Sense of Ancestrial Service and Behavior (도시주부의 가치지향성.제례의식.제례수행)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship of housewives’sense of ancestral service and behavior and to verify the how housewives’value orientation affects the sense of ancestral service and behavior. The data are collected from 393 housewives in urban. The statistics used for the analysis are Cronbach’$\alpha$, Frequency, Percentage, Mean, SD, and Multiple Regression Analysis. The results are summarized below: First, among the variables, degree of fate-control orientation is the most, on the contrary, material orientation is the lowest. Second, value orientation variables that affect sense and behavior of ancestral service are material orientation and gender equilibrium orientation. Third, the behavior of ancestral service is more traditional than sense of ancestral service. Fourth, cause-and-effect variable which affect behavior of ancestral service are education level, religion(Buddhism, Catholicism), employment status, number of children, health, daughter in -law’s ranking, sense of ancestral service, and value orientation, which affect the direct or direct and indirectly. Especially sense of ancestral service variable is the most important mediation one. We expect further studies on the sense of ancestral service and behavior with precise scale and sampling.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the resource allocation problem in a self organizing network from the viewpoint of game theory. The main focus is to suggest the model and analyze a power control algorithm in wireless ad-hoc networks using non cooperative games. Our approach is based on a model for the level of satisfaction and utility a wireless user in a self organizing network derives from using the system. Using this model, we show a distributed power control scheme that maximizes utility of each user in the network. Formulating this as a non-cooperative game we will show the feasibility of such power control as well as existence of the Nash Equilibrium achieved by the non-cooperative game.

  • When the energy resource available to a particular plant (be it coal, oil, gas, water, or nuclear fuel) is a limiting factor in the operation of the plant, the entire economic dispatch calculation must be done differently. Each economic dispatch calculation must account for what happened before and what will happen in the future. This paper presents a formulation and a solution method for the optimization problem with a fuel constraint in a competitive electricity market. Take-or- Pay (TOP) contract for an energy resource is the typical constraint as a limiting factor. Two approaches are proposed in this paper for modeling the dispatch calculation in a market mechanism. The approaches differ in the subject who considers and inserts the fuel-constraint into its optimization problem. Market operator and each power producer having a TOP contract are assumed as such subjects. The two approaches are compared from the viewpoint of profits. surplus. and social welfare on the basis of Nash Equilibrium.

  • 최근의 경제위기가 진행되는 과정에서 국제원유가가 급속하게 하락하고 있다. 거시경제적으로 볼 때 원유가의 하락은 생산측면에서 요소가격의 하락, 수요측면에서는 상대가격의 변동이라는 상호작용을 유도하게 된다. 본 연구는 연산일반균형모형(computable general equilibrium : CGE)을 구축하고 외생변수의 영향에 대한 모의실험을 하여 거시경제적인 측면에서 정량적인 효과를 측정하는데 목적이 있다. 신고전학파적인 이론에 기초한 CGE모형을 설정하고 국제원유가가 32.8% 하락한 외생적인 충격에 대하여 모의실험한 결과는 다음과 같다. 원유가 하락은 GDP성장률을 약 l.59% 상승시키고 물가가 l.2% 하락하는 거시경제적 측면에서 긍정적인 효과를 가져오는 것으로 계산된다. 또한 에너지 수입이 전체 무역에서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있기 때문에 국제수지의 측면에서도 약 47억 달러 개선효과를 가지는 것으로 나타난다. 상대가격의 변동은 산업별로 다른 효과를 가지는데 에너지를 집약적으로 투입하는 산업을 중심으로 산업별 생산량과 가격에서 상이한 효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

Pyramidal Business Groups and Asymmetric Financial Frictions

  • Given capital market imperfections, an entrepreneur can alleviate financial frictions by creating a pyramidal business group in which a parent firm offers its subsidiary firm internal finance. This endogenous creation of pyramidal business groups can beget asymmetric financial frictions between business-group firms and stand-alone firms. I build a model to show that these asymmetric financial frictions can have sizable effects on resource allocation. On one hand, the financial advantage of pyramidal business groups can foster productive firms by incorporating them as subsidiaries. On the other hand, the asymmetrically large amount of external capital controlled by pyramidal business groups can be expended by unproductive business-group firms and push up the equilibrium price of capital. The model suggests that with fine investor protection or low financial frictions, the benefits of pyramidal business groups can be dominated by their costs because the probability of fostering productive subsidiaries diminishes as the efficiency of external capital markets improves, while the prevalence of pyramidal business groups is not attenuated due to their continuing asymmetric financial advantage.

Impact Assessment of Beach Erosion from Construction of Artificial Coastal Structures Using Parabolic Bay Shape Equation

  • Wave field changes resulting from artificial coastal structures constructed in coastal zones have emerged as a major cause of beach erosion, among other factors. The rates of erosion along the eastern coast of Korea have varied mainly owing to the construction of various ports and coastal structures; however, impact assessments of these structures on beach erosion have not been appropriately conducted. Thus, in this study, a methodology to assess the impact of erosion owing to the construction of artificial structures has been proposed, for which a parabolic bay shape equation is used in determining the shoreline angle deformation caused by the structures. Assuming that the conditions of sediment or waves have similar values in most coastal areas, a primary variable impacting coastal sediment transport is the deformation of an equilibrium shoreline relative to the existing beach. Therefore, the angle rotation deforming the equilibrium of a shoreline can be the criterion for evaluating beach erosion incurred through the construction of artificial structures. The evaluation criteria are classified into three levels: safety, caution, and danger. If the angle rotation of the equilibrium shoreline is 0.1° or less, the beach distance was considered to be safe in the present study; however, if this angle is 0.35° or higher, the beach distance is considered to be in a state of danger. Furthermore, in this study, the distance affected by beach erosion is calculated in areas of the eastern coast where artificial structures, mainly including ports and power plants, were constructed; thereafter, an impact assessment of the beach erosion around these areas was conducted. Using a proposed methodology, Gungchon Port was evaluated with caution, whereas Donghae Port, Sokcho Port, and Samcheok LNG were evaluated as being in a state of danger.

Examining the Dynamic Effects of Eco-Innovation on the Exports of Environmentally-Friendly Products (환경혁신이 환경친화적 수출에 미치는 동태적 영향 분석)

  • This study examines how eco-innovation contributes to the exports of environmentally-friendly products using the dynamic panel model. The results reveal that the adjustment in the exports exists to recover the long-run equilibrium with sluggish adjustment speed. In addition, the results show that environmental patent applications and environment-related R&D expenditures are beneficial for enhancing the environmentally-friendly exports. While the environmental patent applications are associated only with an increase in the exports of products for resource management, the environmental R&D expenditures contribute to the exports of pollution management products, cleaner technologies and products, and resource management products. Moreover, as the long-run effects of eco-innovation on the exports become greater than the short-run effects, it appears that public eco-innovation is more likely to support future exports than private eco-innovation.

  • This study is attempted to serve the fundamental theory for ‘The reorganization of Korean coastal and adjacent water fishery.’ On the Korean coastal and adjacent water fishery where one species stock is catched by multiple fisheries, traditional analysis is not suitable, as analyzing through adjusting the heterogeneous fishing effort among the fisheries to an unit having same fishing strength. Therefore, this study presents the ‘Multi-Variable Model’, adopting fishing effort from each fishery as independent variable, respectively, in order to analyze the quantitative fluctuation of fishery resource not with fishing strength but with amount of fishing effort, measured by the unit of each fishery. For the sake of simplication, this study assumes that one species is catched by two fishery, premise two assumption. 1) Every fishery has not the selectivity in fishing 2) The promotion of fishing efficiency is accomplished in the same speed.   • Fossil fuels have been depleted gradually and new energy resource which can solve this shortage is needed now. Methane hydrate, non-polluting new energy resource, satisfies this requirement and considered the precious resource prevent the global warming. Fortunately, there are abundant resources of methane hydrate distribute in the earth widely, so developing the techniques that can use these gases effectively is fully valuable. the work presented here is to develop the skill which can transport and store methane hydrate. As a first step, the equilibrium point experiment has been carried out by increasing temperatures in the cell at fixed pressures. The influence of gas consumption rates under variable degree of subcooling, stirring and water injection has been investigated formation to find out kinetic characteristics of the hydrate. The results of present investigation show that the enhancements of the hydrate formation in terms of the gas/water ratio are closely related to operational pressure, temperature, degrees of subcooling, stirring rate, and water injection.

  • The objective of this study can be presented as follows: First, given the consumption-based carbon accounting method which has now been claimed, this study reviews the emissions within Korea and the resulting position change in international society. Second, when each nation makes efforts to reduce carbon emissions under the Copenhagen Accord, this study, using the Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model, reviews the resulting carbon leakage and analyzes the effect from the various border adjustment measures. However, reflecting uncertainties in the negotiation processes, this study attempts to apply scenarios with regards to the reduction-mandatory nation group. In addition, this study tries to observe the impact on Korea through testing the various border adjustment measures, including the free allocation and embodied carbon tariffs.
