  • In this paper, design rule of power island is studied. Power island have a defect that increase transfer noise when each power bus structure is resonant. So, in this paper, resonances are suppressed for various noise source positions and in order to improve noise characteristics, it is suggested EGI in order to improve noise characteristic. At the simulation result, the least resonance is showed for various noise source position and transfer impedance with power bus resonance is reduced about 11 $\Omega$ by EGI.

  • Test results of friction-factor for the flow of air in a narrow channel lined with various honeycomb geometries show that, generally, the friction-factor is nearly constant or slightly decreases as the Reynolds number(or Mach number) increases, a characteristic common to turbulent flow in pipes. However, in some test geometries this trend is remarkably different. The friction factor dramatically drops and then rises as the Mach number increases. This phenomenon can be characterized as a "friction-factor jump." Further investigations of the acoustic spectrum indicate that the "friction-factor jump" phenomenon is accompanied by an onset of a normal mode resonance excited coherent flow fluctuation structure, which occurs at Reynolds number of the order of $10^4$. New empirical friction-factor model for "friction-factor jump" cases is developed as a function of Mach number and local pressure.ach number and local pressure.

  • A compact monopole antenna possessing triple resonance ($f_1$, $f_2$, $f_3$) characteristics for (USB) dongle applications is presented. The resonance characteristic $f_1$ is determined by the overall length of the antenna. The monopole antenna acts as the main radiator for $f_3$ as well as the coupling feeding structure for the parasitic resonators in $f_1$, $f_2$. The resonance characteristic $f_2$ is achieved by a combination of the capacitance formed by the coupling between the top and bottom parasitic substrate resonators and the inductance generated by a via bridging the two parasitic resonators.

  • When the structure supporting the rotor as well as the rotor itself is in the resonant range, it cause the vibration problem. Although the static characteristics of structures was considered during the design process, we must consider the resonance problem between the excitation(the main revolution frequency of the rotor) between the dynamic characteristics of its structures. This paper presents we improved the dynamic characteristic of a bearing support system to remove a resonance problem so that stabilized the turbine-generator system.

  • Mode shapes and natural frequencies of vibrating laminated composite plates are taken using real-time and time-average holographic interferometry. Debonds and delamination in the laminated plates are measured nondestructively. During holographic testing of composite plates, it has been found that the conditions for the local resonance in debonds are strongly dependent on the frequency of excitation. A membrane resonance model was proposed to describe this behavior. Relations between characteristic length according to the size, shape of debonds and membrane resonance frequency are presented. Several experiments were performed to verify the membrane resonance model. The agreements between the predicted excitation frequency and the observed resonance frequency are good. The experimental results show that higher stresses and strains due to local resonance lead to the debond detection.

  • This paper concerns a DC-DC converter using the characteristic of series resonance. Operation principle of the system described by the proposed equation is illustrated. Characteristics of steady state of the system which is essential to system design is evaluated for frequency and pulse width characteristic using dimensionless parameter. The proposed circuit based in constant voltage control uses the Pulse Width Modulation - Time Ratio Control method.

  • Harmonic resonance exists in grid-connected inverter systems. In order to determine the network components that contribute to harmonic resonance and the composition of the resonant circuit, sensitivity theory is applied to the resonance characteristic analysis. Based on the modal analysis, the theory of sensitivity is applied to derive a formula for determining the sensitivities of each network component parameter under a resonance circumstance that reflects the participation of the network component. The solving formula is derived for both parallel harmonic resonance and series harmonic resonance. This formula is adopted to a 4-node grid-connected test system. The analysis results reveal that for a certain frequency, the participation of parallel resonance and series resonance are not the same. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that the solving formula for sensitivity is feasible for grid-connected systems.

  • The ferrimagnetic resonance technique, with the inclusion of shaper anisotropy effects, was used to obtain information about the early stages in the precipitation of magnesium ferrite from iron-doped magnesia. The very small magnesioferrite particles were produced by precipitation method from solid solution of iron ion in single crystal magnesia. The temperature dependence of the resonance anisotropy field for a coherent assembly of hyperfine magnesium ferrite precipitates was investigated in the range 100~400K. The results are interpreted in terms of the shape anisotropy of the precipitates.
