This study aims to identify specific topics, trends, and structural characteristics of scholarly communication research, based on 1,435 articles published from 1970 to 2018 in the Scopus database through Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic modeling, serial analysis, and network analysis. Topic modeling, time series analysis, and network analysis were used to analyze specific topics, trends, and structures, respectively. The results were summarized into three sets as follows. First, the specific topics of scholarly communication research were nineteen in number, including research resource management and research data, and their research proportion is even. Second, as a result of the time series analysis, there are three upward trending topics: Topic 6: Open Access Publishing, Topic 7: Green Open Access, Topic 19: Informal Communication, and two downward trending topics: Topic 11: Researcher Network and Topic 12: Electronic Journal. Third, the network analysis results indicated that high mean profile association topics were related to the institution, and topics with high triangle betweenness centrality, such as Topic 14: Research Resource Management, shared the citation context. Also, through cluster analysis using parallel nearest neighbor clustering, six clusters connected with different concepts were identified.

This study aimed to investigate key research areas in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) by analyzing trends and identifying emerging topics. To facilitate the research, a collection of 40,897 author keywords from 11,252 papers published in the past 30 years (1993-2022) in five journals was gathered. In addition, keyword analysis, as well as Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and correlation analysis were conducted, utilizing variables such as the number of articles, number of authors, ratio of co-authored papers, and cited counts. The findings of the study suggest that two topics are likely to develop as promising research areas in LIS in the future: machine learning/algorithm and research impact. Furthermore, it is anticipated that future research will focus on topics such as social media and big data, natural language processing, research trends, and research assessment, as they are expected to emerge as prominent areas of study.

Index Terms, or keywords, are an important component of research papers because they present a quick overview of the main subjects covered in the research paper by highlighting the most important nouns. In this study, we extracted the author-assigned index terms from KIICE Conference Proceedings dating back to 2018 for seasonal conferences, and 2016 for the international conference (ICFICE). The extracted index terms were standardized and analyzed to gain an understanding of research topic trends and any over or under-represented research topics. This kind of index term analysis is expected to be useful in helping researchers not only identify additional potential topics for their own research, but also aid them in selecting from a common vocabulary of keywords when they assign index terms to their research papers.

Purpose - This study aims to find clues necessary for the direction of leadership development suitable for the current situation by exploring the direction in which leadership has been studied from the perspective of domestic researchers, along with the arrangement of leadership theories studied in various ways. Research design, data, and methodology - A total of 7,425 papers were obtained due to the search, and 5,810 papers with English abstracts were used for analysis. For analysis, word frequency analysis, word clouding, and co-occurrence were confirmed using Python 3.7. In addition, after classifying topics related to research trends through BERTopic and LDA, trends were identified through dynamic topic modeling and OLS regression analysis. Result - As a result of the BERTopic, 14 topics such as 'Leadership management and performance' and 'Sports leadership' were derived. As a result of conducting LDA on 1,976 outliers, five topics were derived. As a result of trend analysis on topics by year, it was confirmed that five topics, such as 'military police leadership' received relative attention. Conclusion - Through the results of this study, a study on the reinterpretation of past leadership studies, a study on LMX with an expanded perspective, and a study on integrated leadership sub-factors of modern leadership theory were proposed.

The objective of this study is to examine the trends in big data. Research abstracts were extracted from 4,019 articles, published between 1995 and 2018, on Web of Science and were analyzed using topic modeling and time series analysis. The 20 single-term topics that appeared most frequently were as follows: model, technology, algorithm, problem, performance, network, framework, analytics, management, process, value, user, knowledge, dataset, resource, service, cloud, storage, business, and health. The 20 multi-term topics were as follows: sense technology architecture (T10), decision system (T18), classification algorithm (T03), data analytics (T17), system performance (T09), data science (T06), distribution method (T20), service dataset (T19), network communication (T05), customer & business (T16), cloud computing (T02), health care (T14), smart city (T11), patient & disease (T04), privacy & security (T08), research design (T01), social media (T12), student & education (T13), energy consumption (T07), supply chain management (T15). The time series data indicated that the 40 single-term topics and multi-term topics were hot topics. This study provides suggestions for future research.

With the development of IT technology, various services such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles are being introduced, and many changes are taking place in our lives. However, if secure security is not provided, it will cause many risks, so the information security becomes more important. In this paper, we analyzed the research trends of main themes of information security over time. In order to conduct the research, 'Information Security' was searched in the Web of Science database. Using the abstracts of theses published from 1991 to 2016, we derived main research topics through topic modeling and time series regression analysis. The topic modeling results showed that the research topics were Information technology, system access, attack, threat, risk management, network type, security management, security awareness, certification level, information protection organization, security policy, access control, personal information, security investment, computing environment, investment cost, system structure, authentication method, user behavior, encryption. The time series regression results indicated that all the topics were hot topics.

As interest in the sustainable fashion industry continues to increase along with climate issues, it is necessary to identify research trends in sustainable fashion and seek new development directions. Therefore, this study aims to analyze research trends on sustainable fashion. For this purpose, related papers were collected from the KCI (Korean Citation Index) and Scopus, and 340 articles were used for the study. The collected data went through data transformation, data preprocessing, topic modeling analysis, core topic derivation, and visualization through a Python algorithm. A total of eight topics were obtained from the comprehensive analysis: consumer clothing consumption behavior and environment, upcycle product development, product types by environmental approach, ESG business activities, materials and material development, process-based approach, lifestyle and consumer experience, and brand strategy. Topics were related to consumption, production, and education of sustainable fashion, respectively. KCI analysis results and Scopus analysis results derived eight topics but showed differences from the comprehensive analysis results. This study provides primary data for exploring various themes of sustainable fashion. It is significant in that the data were analyzed based on probability using a research method that excluded the subjective value of the researcher. It is recommended that follow-up studies be conducted to examine social trends.

This study introduces research trends in Asia by analyzing the publications of scholars in major universities in Asia, which can provide Asian researchers with what topics Asian researchers have been conducting the last six years. In addition, this study provides information on who have been active in research with the list of top one hunred scholars according to their H index scores. For this analysis, we have collected academic publications of all the professors in major universities from twelve Asian countries, analyzed what topics they have been studying along with which topics are most popular by country and geographical area, evaluated scholars' academic performances in terms of their impacts on academic society, and finally selected the top one hunred scholars among them. This study makes some unique contributions to the academic societies in Asia at least in two ways. Firstly, this study provides Asian researchers with information on what Asian researchers have been studying for the last six years, which is expected to help Asian researchers to understand research trends in Asia. Secondly, this study introduces who has been active in academic research in what countries or universities in Asia, which has never been addressed in the academic societies in Asia. This study hopefully generates some positive competition among Asian scholars and acknowledges their contribution to academic societies.

This study analyzed keyword networks and Author's Affiliation networks of hydrogen-related papers published in Korea Citation Index (KCI) journals from 2016 to 2020. The study investigated co-occurrence patterns of institutions over time to examine collaboration trends of hydrogen scholars. The study also conducted frequency analysis of keyword networks to identify key topics and visualized keyword networks to explore topic trends. The result showed Collaborative research between institutions has not yet been extensively expanded. However, collaboration trends were much more pronounced with local universities. Keyword network analysis exhibited continuing diversification of topics in hydrogen research of Korea. In addition centrality analysis found hydrogen research mostly deals with multi-disciplinary and complex aspects like hydrogen production, transportation, and public policy.

The purpose of this study is to provide a direction for domestic engineering education research by analyzing the research trends of JEE(Journal of Engineering Education). The results of analyzing research trends regarding research topics, research objects and research methods are as follows. First, by research topic, 'Diffusion of Educational Innovation' was found to have the highest proportion with 52 articles(21%). Second, by research objects, 'university students' showed the highest proportion with 148 articles(53.6%). Third, by research method (large category), 'quantitative research' had the highest proportion with 132 articles(53.2%). By research method (medium category), 'survey research' had the highest proportion with 129 articles(33.5%). Based on the results of this study, future engineering education research should be conducted to contribute to holistic development through diversification of research topics, methods, and objects.
