The purpose of this paper is to develop a desirable government policy for attracting highly skilled professional foreign human resources. To achieve the purpose, following research methods were pursued; 1) a review on the current status of government policy on highly qualified foreign professionals, 2) case studies on foreign governments' policy on the issue, 3) a survey over Korean firms which are employing foreign high-tech professionals. Based on above research results, policy suggestions for the Korean government are recommended as follows: formulating a basic framework of the government policy to attract foreign high-tech professionals, revising the nonimmigrant visa policy for foreign professionals, collecting and distributing personnel data of foreign applicants for jobs In Korea, developing external and internal public relations, revising the method of supporting small and medium-sized firms, taking a systematic approach to attract korean-American scientists, redesigning sponsorship programs for inviting world famous scholars and scientists, increasing global joint research projects, facilitating favorable infrastructure for foreign engineers and scientists.

Smart tourism and associated topics have been extensively discussed by scholars around the world. The goal of this study is to make available an all-inclusive database-based analysis of the longitude status of research on smart tourism. Three databases, Web of Science (WoS), Science Direct and China Knowledge Network (CNKI), were utilized to gather papers published from 2011 to 2020. The data results were analyzed and results were generated using CiteSpace. The results of Chinese and English papers were evaluated to form the conclusion of this study. The implication formed the prediction of future research trends and development suggestions.

한국공학교육학회는 1994년에 설립되었으며 공학교육연구 논문지는 1998년부터 발행되고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 1998년부터 2005년까지 발행된 126편의 모든 논문들에 대한 연구 방법론과 내용을 분석하는 것이다. 모든 논문의 내용을 분석하여 코딩한 후 SPSS(버전 15.0)로 통계 처리하였다. 연구의 내용으로는 연도별 발행 논문수 실태와 연구자의 특성(성별, 소속기관별, 전공분야별, 저자 수 등)에 대하여 분석하였고, 또한 게재된 논문들의 연구방법론과 내용에 대하여 분석하였으며, 이 분석된 내용을 바탕으로 논의를 함으로써 논문지의 개선 방안을 모색하였다. 연구 결과로서 연구자들은 개발 연구 방법을 가장 많이 사용하였고, 전기전자전공의 논문이 가장 많았으며, 논문의 저자 수는 연세대가 가장 많았다. 조사 연구에서는 전수 조사, 목적 표집, 임의 표집, 유층 표집, 기타의 방법으로 표집을 하였고, 논문의 89.5%가 설문지를 사용하였고, 논문의 50%가 빈도/%의 기술 통계 방법을 사용하였다. 실험 연구에서는 이질집단 사후검사 설계와 단일집단 전후검사 설계 모형을 사용하였다. 끝으로 논의 및 제언 부분에서는 공학교육연구 논문지의 질적 개선을 위한 연구 방법론의 개선점을 제시하였다.

Civil and commercial disputes can be resolved through alternative dispute settlement systems other than court proceedings. Among them, the arbitration procedure is a system that is clearly distinguished from the mediation procedure in which the dispute is terminated by agreement between the parties. The arbitration proceedings shall have the same effect as the result of the final judgment by the decision of a third-party arbitrator, and its essence is a judgment. The Korean Arbitration Association Studies was founded in December 1990 to recognize the importance of arbitration procedures and conduct specialized research on them, with professional research on 'arbitration procedures' continuing until today. Thus, the Korean Arbitration Association Studies is positioned as the only specialized research organization in the field of arbitration. In the case of the Korean Arbitration Association Studies, which is the only society in Korea related to arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, the members are mainly scholars majoring in trade and commerce and ones majoring in law. This situation reflects the distinctive character of the arbitration system because it is a matter of dispute procedures related to trade and commerce and many scholars who research trade and commerce need to prepare for possible disputes. In addition, the arbitration procedure is a dispute settlement procedure that substitutes for litigation because it has research value as a legal system. In particular, the 'Journal of Arbitration Studies' published by the Korean Arbitration Association plays a role in mediation, as well as mediation and presentation of research papers in the ADR field. This study analyzes the trends of mediation and ADR-related papers published in 'Journal of Arbitration Studies', an academic journal of the Korean Arbitration Association Studies, in four dimensions, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Korean Arbitration Association Studies. First, this study examined which sub-themes are mainly studied among the various viewpoints of mediation through thematic analysis. Second, it looked at what methodology was used to study intervention at the methodological level. Third, it assessed what countries and regions had been mainly studied at the regional level. Fourth, in terms of content, what kind of research had been mainly conducted and what kind of research was relatively insufficient was investigated, analyzing the research results of the last 30 years and presenting a milestone for the research direction of 'Journal of Arbitration Studies' in the future.

2014년도 12월말부터 시행하는 한국연구재단의 등재지 제도의 폐지는 한국 내에 존재하는 연구논문집 향방에 커다란 지각변동의 요인으로 작용할 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이러한 상황은 한국유통과학회에서 발행하는 유통과학연구를 비롯한 3개의 연구논문집에게는 커다란 기회로 작용할 것이며, 이번 기회를 잘 활용한다면 조속한 성장과 발전을 도모할 수 있을 것이다. 한국유통과학회에서 발행하는 유통과학연구는 1999년을 시작으로 꾸준한 발전을 유지하여 왔고, 초창기 연 2회 발행하던 체제를 개편하여, 연 4회를 발행 하다가, 2012년에는 연 12회 발행하는 사회과학분야에서 가장 선두로 나가는 연구논문집으로 성장했다. 2011년 7월에는 전면 영문으로 홈페이지를 개편하여, 지속적으로 게재논문을 무료로 열람토록 하였고, 그 결과 2012년 들어서서 해외에서 접속하여 유통과학연구 홈페이지를 열람하는 이용자의 숫자가 급속히 증가하였다. 더욱이 최근 들어서서는 해외석학들의 논문 투고가 꾸준한 증가 추세에 있다. 예를 들어서, 2012년 3월에는 종전과 달리 해외석학들의 투고논문이 4편에 이를 정도로 학회의 지명도가 높아지고 있다. 이러한 상황은 본 유통과학연구가 한국내에서의 지명도보다 외국에서의 지명도가 높아지고 있다는 점을 의미하는 것이다. 그러나, 현시점에서 반추할 때, 이러한 발전은 현재로서는 긍정적인 요인으로 작용될 수는 있으나, 학회운영및 연구논문집의 지속적인 상태점검과 특성에 맞는 전략도출 및 실행이 없는 한 미래의 경쟁력을 기약할 수 없는 불투명한 환경에 처해 있다는 점을 인지해야 한다. 따라서, 본 연구의 목적은 한국유통과학회에서 발행하는 유통과학연구가 국내외 위상을 높이고 해외에서 유명저널이 되기 위해서는 당면과제와 문제점을 찾아내고 효율적이고 실용적인 여러가지 해결 대안을 모색 제시하고자 함에 있다. 즉, 본 연구는 한국유통과학회의 연구논문집인 유통과학연구의 과거, 현재, 그리고 미래에 대하여 논하고, 학회운영과 관련하여 편집관리 및 시스템운영을 전반적으로 점검하여 문제점과 해결점을 모색하고 제시하였다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the current status of Asian research and suggest a direction for the future development of nursing research in Asian countries Methods: To examine the current status of Asian nursing research, 539 abstracts presented at the 2011 East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars in Seoul were analyzed according to the structured analysis format. Results: The results showed that most of the studies (77.6%) were quantitative design, but qualitative design was also conducted. Most of quantitative studies were quasi experimental designs and questionnaires are most frequently used for data collection. Only 8.5% of the studies used physiological measures. Key words were categorized into four nursing metaparadigms: clients, environment, health and nursing. The most frequently mentioned domain was health. Main themes of research were elderly, chronic disease, health promotion, and nurse/nursing management. Most frequently used key words were elderly, social support, depression, and stress. Conclusion: Major trends were similar in Asian countries, and mostly conducted with quantitative designs. Research topics were varied and major interests in nursing research topics were elderly, health promotion, and mental health in all countries. We need to develop nursing science based on closer communication and cooperation among Asian countries.

본 연구는 최근의 국내 문헌정보학 분야의 연구성과 현황과 경향을 파악하기 위하여 지난 18년간의(2002-2020) 국내(KCI) 6,301편의 학술논문데이터, 인용 수 26,474건과 국제(WoS) 86,727편의 학술논문데이터, 인용 수 1,196,961건을 수집하여 연구의 생산성과 영향력, 공동연구 경향과 연구주제분야 등을 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과, 국제와 국내 모두 저자의 생산성이 높으나 영향력은 상대적으로 낮았으며, 이러한 차이는 국제에서 더 극명하게 나타났으며, 일부 최상위 저자와 기관, 학술지에 생산성과 영향력이 편향되어있었다. 공동연구는 국제와 국내 모두 지속해서 증가하고 있었는데, 이러한 현상은 현대의 문헌정보학 연구가 과거보다 간 학문적이며 연구범위가 다각화되고 있음을 시사한다. 키워드 분석을 통해 국제가 국내보다 훨씬 다양한 주제로의 연구가 진행중임이 나타났으며, 인기 있는 연구주제가 반드시 영향력이 높은 것은 아님이 밝혀졌다.

There are limited research questioning the relationship between the disabled community and media, particularly in Malaysia. The lack of awareness and common assumption of specialty towards the disabled community have caused a small amount of local disability researches that question the relationship between the disabled community and the media. This research aims to find out the types of representation of disability in the Malaysian mainstream media, particularly press. Interview with visual disabled personnel and content analysis from news coverage of mainstream press are deployed in the study. The findings indicated the invalidity of disability culture as the misrepresentation of disabled community in Malaysia is not as severe as depicted by scholars because the news coverage focusing on them is getting more positive. Besides that, disabled people are not defensive towards the terms used to refer them as long as media practitioners do not over amplify their disability. The application of charity approach is still common in news coverage to portray the disabled community as victim, and therefore they are partially marginalized due to the misrepresentation in Malaysian mainstream press.

A firm's business composition and the sales volume of each business segment are subject to change depending, to a considerable extent, on the firm's business strategy. These changes were weighted and represented as a single index, referred to by scholars in strategic management and industrial organization research fields as 'firm entropy' then its impact on firms' profitability was assessed over twelve years. The performance differences between contractor and non-contractor firms, as well as focused and diversified firms, were compared through a Longitudinal Data Analysis Technique within a Hierarchical Linear Modeling framework. Hypothesis was formulated based on firm diversification theories and previous research findings. The hypothesis was tested according to the modeling outcomes, and implications are presented. The research findings indicate that the level of firms' long-term profitability supports the argument that the construction industry is highly competitive and mature.

Explicit reference to the work of other authors is an essential feature of most academic research writings. Corpus analysis of academic text can reveal much about what writers actually do and why they do so. Application of corpus tools in language education has been well documented by many scholars (Pedersen, 1995, Swales, 1990, Thompson, 2000). They demonstrate how computer technology can assist in the effective analysis of corpus based data. For teaching purposes, tills recent research provides insights in the areas of English for Academe Purposes (EAP). The need for such support is evident when students have to use appropriate citations in their writings. Using Swales' (1990) division of citation forms into integral and non-integral and Thompson and Tnbble's (2001) classification scheme, this paper codifies academic texts in a corpus. The texts are academic research articles from different disciplines. The results lead into a comparison of the citation practices m different disciplines. Finally, it is argued that the information obtained in this study is useful for EAP writing courses in EFL countries.
