This study concerning the surface dose of eye and thyroid from panoramagraphy used thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) and photoluminescent dosimeter (PLD) to take measurements at ten hospitals in the Gwangju metropolitan area. The recommendations from ICRP 60 and ICRP 73 on the allowance standard for eye are 15 mSv and for thyroid is 1 mSv. The left eye TLD and PLD values are 0.19 mSv and 0.24 mSv respectively. The right eye TLD and PLD values are 0.23 mSv and 0.25 mSv respectively. Thyroid TLD and PLD values are 0.08 mSv and 0.25 mSv respectively and did not exceed the allowance standards(p<0.001). Also comparisons are made between TLD and PLD for each organ and PLD has higher dose measurements than TLD. There are statistically significant differences in left eye measurements and thyroid measurements (p<0.01). There is no significant difference in measurements for the right eye (p>0.05). The TLD and PLD measured dose from panoramagraphy instruments on eyes and thyroid from each hospital did not exceed the recommended dose from ICRP 60 for surface dose measurements. However, due to the probability of influence, consideration should be made for all levels of dose.

The purpose of this study was to explore kindergarten students' attitude toward science by their gender and teachers' background. 90 kindergarten teachers and 180 5-year-old students were intentionally sampled in a suburban area. The research instruments used in this study were the interview questions of student attitude to science and the teacher's background questionnaire. The interview questions constructed by two researchers, based on "The Students' Attitude to Science Scale"(Pell & Farvis, 2001). It was composed of 13 questions; 7 questions on preference for science and 6 on perception to science. The teacher's background questionnaire was consisted of I question on educational background, I on career, and 51 on scientific literacy("Test of Basic Scientific Literacy")(Laugksch & Spargo, 1996). The results revealed that the students' attitude to science was positive and was different by their teachers' educational background, not by their gender and their teacher's career and scientific literacy. However, the students showed different preference for science by their teachers' scientific literacy. These results imply that early childhood teachers should have enough chances to be more educated and to improve their scientific literacy.

Also, central group's state anger was positively correlated to bullying behaviors. conclusion : In conclusion, the level of trait anger and state anger in high school girls affected to occur the bullying behaviors in students and especially, the trait anger in central group students was primary factor for the effect.
In this paper RCA and TSI has been analyzed based on Korean and Chinese lists of export (HS 6 units) and list of companies and products with competitive advantage has been deduced. The results of RCA and TSI analysis are as follows. From the list of 20 most exported items from Korea to China the RCA index for eleven of them (based on common items from 2011-2015) is bigger than 1, thus showing comparative advantage. As for the TSI index, all of the items has shown (+) value, and has been analyzed as specialization in export. In other words, companies in the fields of mineral fuel; mineral oil; organic chemicals; electrical equipment and parts; as well as optical, precision and medical instrument are industries with competitive advantage. From the list of 20 most exported items from China to Korea the RCA index for twelve of them (based on common items form 2011-2015) is bigger than 1, thus also showing comparative advantage, and the TSI index has also shown (+) value for all of the specified items, meaning specialization in export. Industries of mineral fuel; mineral oil; iron and steel, articles of iron and steel; machinery and mechanical parts, electrical equipment and parts; as well as optical, precision and medical instruments have shown competitive advantage.
Background: Fatigue and sleepiness are inter-related and common among road transport drivers. In this study, sleep deprivation and fatigue among chemical transportation drivers were examined. Methods: A cross-sectional study surveying 107 drivers from three hazardous types of chemical production and transportation industries (nonflammable gases, flammable gases, and flammable liquids) was conducted. Data on sleep deprivation were collected using questionnaires of the Stanford Sleeping Scale and the Groningen Sleep Quality Scale. Fatigue was assessed using an interview questionnaire and a flicker fusion instrument. Results: Chemical drivers had a mean sleeping scale (Stanford Sleeping Scale) of 1.98 (standard deviation 1.00) and had a mean score of 1.89 (standard deviation 2.06) on the Groningen Sleep Quality Scale. High-risk drivers had higher scores in both the Stanford Sleeping Scale and the Groningen Sleep Quality Scale with a mean score of 2.59 and 4.62, respectively, and those differences reached statistical significance (p < 0.05). The prevalence of fatigue, as assessed through a critical flicker fusion analyzer, subjective fatigue question, and either of the instruments, was 32.32%, 16.16%, and 43.43%, respectively. Drivers who slept <7 hours and had poor sleep quality were found to have more fatigue than those who slept enough and well. Drivers who had a more sleepiness score resulted in significantly more objective fatigue than those who had a less sleepiness score. Conclusion: Sleep quality and sleeping hour can affect a driver's fatigue. Optimization of work-rest model should be considered to improve productivity, driver retention, and road safety.

Hyperpigmentation on face is a highly anxiety-producing symptom, especially for women from the aspect of beauty. Pigmentation of the skin is related to the amount of melanin that provides protection against UV radiation. In vivo reflectance confocal microscopy is a non-invasive imaging tool allowing visualization of the skin without tissue alteration, by placing a microscopy directly on the living skin. The aim of this study was to develop the new evaluation method of whitening effects using in vivo reflectance confocal microscopy and to validate other instruments for measuring skin colors, and UV-induced hyperpigmentation was elicited on the inside skin of the forearm. It suggested that the new method for whitening effects using the confocal microscopy was useful to evaluate the de-pigmentation products and to easy for understanding to customers.
Purpose: This study was conducted to examine mother-child interactions and the quality of life of preschool children with epilepsy as perceived by mothers, and to investigate the relation between mother-child interactions and the quality of life of preschool children with epilepsy. Methods: Participants for this study consist of 92 mothers of children with epilepsy aged three to six years who were treated at university hospitals and a city hospital located in Seoul, Korea. The instruments used for this study were mother-child interactions of preschool children scale and the Korean version of the TAPQOL (TNO-AZL Preschool children Quality of Life). Results: The level of mother-child interactions for preschool children with epilepsy showed a mean score 125.91. The category of dyadic domain was rated the highest while the child domain category was rated the lowest. The level of mother-child interactions for preschool children with epilepsy showed a significant difference according to the mother-child relationship, birth history, seizure frequency, number of antiepileptic drugs and combined disabilities. The quality of life of children with epilepsy showed a significant difference according to the mother-child relationship, birth history, seizure frequency, number of antiepileptic drugs and combined disabilities. There is a statistically significant positive correlation between mother-child interactions and quality of life of preschool children with epilepsy. Conclusion: This study suggests that the mother-child interaction of preschool children with epilepsy showed a tendency to be led by mothers. In order to stimulate mother-child interactions, mothers should help their children enhance their reaction and participation.
Innovation plays a large role in green growth. While it is a widely accepted view that, without innovation, it would be very difficult and costly to address major environmental issues, innovation itself tends to be constrained by limited access to eco-financing and is inherently risky, often requiring a long-term horizon. Although global consensus is more or less established as to the urgency and necessity of accelerating green innovation, the quality and quantity of financing in this area is largely insufficient, with increasing funding gaps in many countries. A new financial mechanism is urgently needed in order to re-orient financial flow and enable innovators to overcome the valleys of death that occur throughout the innovation cycle. A number of different modalities exist in financing the commercialisation of eco-innovation. Existing mechanisms have not been as successful as expected, revealing critical limits to furthering certain types of projects that are essential for economic and environmental progress. Experts' estimations have shown that the funding gap will widen in the coming years as demand for clean energy and green infrastructure rises, and as green technologies and innovation develop faster than the market for it can develop. Against this backdrop, the main purpose of this research is threefold: to identify issues and problems regarding current means of funding for eco-innovation and green projects; to provide insight into securing longterm green financing by looking at European cases; and ultimately to suggest policy implications for designing and implementing eco-specific financial instruments, focusing on governments' roles in sustainable financing for eco-innovation. This study analyses different models of financing mechanisms, a mix of public and private funds, in view of suggesting conditions for the sustainable financing of green projects, especially for large-scale high-risk projects. Based on the findings from the analyses of mechanisms and the shortcomings of the existing funding modalities, this study ultimately suggests policy implications for effectively supporting the commercialisation of eco-innovation.
Japanese encephalitis (JE) is an important zoonosis caused by the mosquito-transmitted JE virus (JEV), which is a causative agent of reproductive failure in pregnant sows. Detection of JEV antibodies in swine is performed by hemagglutination inhibition (HI), virus neutralization (VN), and the plaque reduction neutralization test (PRNT). The most stringent PRNT is the 90% endpoint PRNT ($PRNT_{90}$). These conventional assays are difficult to carry out in diagnostic laboratories with insufficient instruments or cell culture systems. An alternative assay that is easily conducted and time efficient is required. In this study, we improved the indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (I-ELISA) with clarified antigen for the detection of JEV antibodies. The I-ELISA results obtained from 175 swine serum samples were compared with HI, VN, and $PRNT_{90}$ results. The sensitivity of I-ELISA was 91.8%, 95.0%, and 94.7% compared with HI, VN, and $PRNT_{90}$ results, respectively. The specificity of I-ELISA was 92.2%, 94.7%, and 94.7% compared with HI, VN, and $PRNT_{90}$ results, respectively. Moreover, the I-ELISA results were significantly correlated with the HI (r = 0.93), VN (r = 0.95), and $PRNT_{90}$ (r = 0.92) results. These results suggest that the improved I-ELISA is useful for serosurveillance of JEV in swine.
This research was carried out to compare structure, equilibrium moisture content(EMC), adsorption and acoustical properties between 4 retention levels of saligenin(o-hydroxybenzyl alcohol) treated, heat-treated and untreated chestnut(Castanea crenata S. et Z.) and paulownia(Paulownia spp.) woods. The cell structures of untreated wood and heat-treated wood were not different but the cell wall of saligenin treated wood was thicker than that of untreated wood for both species. EMC of untreated wood was the highest, next was that of heat-treated wood, and that of saligenin treated wood was the lowest, and among saligenin treated woods, EMC was decreased as retention level increased for both species. Adsorption curves were parabolically increased. Acoustical properties of saligenin treated wood were most improved, and the next were those of heat-treated wood. Comprehensive acoustical property was improved at retention level 20% and 30% for chestnut wood, and at retention level 80% for paulownia wood.
