The antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibitory activities of the acetone and dichloromethane ($CH_2Cl_2$) extracts of the by-products (heads, shells, and tails) of Pandalus borealis, Pandalus hypsinotus, and Pandalopsis japonica belonging to the family Pandalidae were investigated and their bioactivities were compared. The antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibitory activities of the organic solvent extracts of three shrimp by-products were evaluated using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-Azino-bis[3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid] ($ABTS^+$) radical scavenging activities, reducing power and xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitory activity assays and Ellman's colorimetric method. The extracts of P. hypsinotus exhibited the highest antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibitory activities. The acetone extracts showed more potent activities toward antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibition compared with the $CH_2Cl_2$ extracts. Furthermore, the total carotenoid contents of the acetone extracts were higher than those of the $CH_2Cl_2$ extracts. Thus, the carotenoid contents may affect antioxidant and cholinesterase inhibition. Our results suggest that the shrimp by-products could act as a nutraceutical agent to prevent oxidative stress and Alzheimer's disease.

The anti-oxidant activities of Acanthopanax senticosus stems were investigated. The n-BuOH fraction of A. senticosus stems exhibited a significant decrease in serum transaminase activities elevated by hepatic damage induced by CCl$_4$-intoxication in rats. The n-BuOH fraction inhibited the sGPT activities by 65.79%. The n-BuOH fraction showed the increase in the anti-oxidant enzymes such as hepatic cytoso1ic superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase activities by 30.31, 19.82 and 155%, respectively, in CCl$_4$-intoxicated rats. These results suggest that the stems of A. senticosus possess not only the hepatoprotective, but also the anti-oxidant activities in rats.

This study examined the activities of Community of Practice (CoP) of research data curators, including their community building and maintenance activities, by using activity theory as its main theoretical framework. The study used an embedded multiple-case study design for exploring the activities of three CoP of research data curators. The case study design used document analysis and semi-structured interviews to collect data. Besides the community building and maintenance activities, other activities were performed in the CoP of research data curators, which could be largely divided into curation activities, education activities, and communication activities. Membership was largely divided into institutional membership and individual membership, and the motives for members to join and contribute to the CoP vary from extrinsic to intrinsic motivations. Finally, we identified and categorized challenges and success indicators for CoP of research data curators as perceived by participants. In particular, we identified three types of challenges or contradictions the communities faced and 14 perceived indicators of success. This study informs the practice of research data curation by providing a knowledge base for building and maintaining a CoP of research data curators.

Recently, the needs for marketing activities is increasing of the hospitals, but there are no such measurement for the efficiency and the effectiveness of the marketing activities. Thus, the research aims to suggest the necessity of approach method which can combine the efficiency and the effectiveness of the marketing activities both systematically and comprehensively in line with examining the current status of marketing capability of hospitals in Korea. From the research findings, it is known that, in respect of financial performance, hospitals in Korea should establish the plan and implement accordingly in order increase both the sales revenue and profit ratio in contrast to the sales revenue through strengthening the internal marketing activities rather than the external marketing activities.

This study was conducted in order to examine relationship between stroke patients' degree of satisfaction with leisure and quality of life according to their leisure activity types and whether they conducted leisure activities. A direct survey was performed from April 8 to May 3, 2013 on 92 inpatients and outpatients who received occupational therapy at hospitals located in Jeonju and Gunsan. A frequency analysis was carried out in order to look at the general characteristics of the subjects, their degree of participation in leisure activities, and their degree of satisfaction with leisure activities. A Pearson's coefficient was used to examine relationship between their degree of satisfaction and quality of life according to participation in leisure activities. Their degree of satisfaction according to participation in leisure activities was significantly higher when they took part in leisure activities such as handicraft activities, sports activities, or travel or tourism activities than when they did not perform any leisure activities. Their quality of life according to participation in leisure activities was higher when they conducted sports activities, outing activities, or tourism activities than when they did not. There was significant correlation between their degree of satisfaction with leisure and quality of life according to leisure activities.

In this paper presented are recent international activities on fire research. After a long history of exchanging ideas in individual international groups, the International Association for Fire Safety Science (IAFSS) was founded in 1985 at its first Symposium, and in 1988, it became a registered charity in England and Wales. The primary objectives of the association are encouraging research in the science of preventing and mitigating the adverse effects of fires and of providing a forum for presenting the results such research. In order to implement the objectives, the Association has held a series of Symposia. At the same time, regional activities have been performed to expand the activities of IAFSS into every individual country. The Asia-Oceania Association for Fire Science and Technology (AOAFST) was founded in 1992 at its first Symposium and the First European Regional IAFSS Symposium was held in Zurich in 1995. Extensive activities in fire research have been performed in Asian and Oceanian countries.

As data-based research activities and outcomes increase and ontact or non-face-to-face activities become common, the demand for easy utilization of resources, tools, functions, and easily accessible information required for research in the R&D sector has increased accordingly. With the rapid increase in the demand for collaborative research based on online platforms, research support institutions strive to provide venues for research activities that merge various information and functions. ScienceON, an integrated science & technology (S&T) knowledge infrastructure service developed and operated by the Korea Institute of S&T Information (KISTI), supports open collaboration by connecting and merging all the information, functions, and infrastructure required for research activities. This paper describes the online research activity support tool provided by ScienceON and the remarkable results achieved through this activity. Specifically, the excellent creation of the following flow of meta-material research activities in the ontact space is elucidated. First, the papers required for a meta-material analysis are retrieved, virtual simulation is conducted with the experimental data extracted from the papers, and research data are accumulated. ScienceON's tools for supporting ontact research activity will play a role as an important service in the era of digital transformation and open science.

N-Phenyl oxadiazolidinedione derivatives II were synthesized and their herbicidal activities were measured against grass weeds. A parabolic relationship between molar refractivity (MR) of meta substituents of dione Ⅱ and their herbicidal activities was observed. With the substituents having MR value=${\sim}15$, the higher activities were obtained. Especially, the highest herbicidal activity (97% inhibition of weeds at 0.25 kg/ha) was observed by propyne IIr containing propargyloxy group as meta substituent.

This research focuses on determining the impact of human resource management activities on the compatibility and work results of employees of Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) listed companies. The paper includes five parts: introduction, literature review, research methodology, research results, and conclusion and policy implications. The data are collected from the survey of 350 listed companies in HOSE, in which 315 survey notes filled with sufficient information are used for analysis. The paper employs both qualitative method and quantitative method. Group discussion of 10 experts is for qualitative research. Quantitative method performs analysis of Statistics, Cronbach's Alpha, EFA analysis, CFA analysis and SEM model. The results of the research clearly indicate that human resource management (HRM) activities are measured through improving the ability, improving the motivation and improving the opportunity. While compatibility is measured through suitability, connection and sacrifice; whereby HRM activities of ability improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability and connection; HRM activities of motivation improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, connection and sacrifice; and HRM activities of opportunity improvement have a positive effect on the job suitability, sacrifice and connection; Finally, the job suitability, sacrifice and connection positively affect the work results of employees.
