  • Supply Chain (SC) can balance demands with supply activities as executing Supply Chain Planning (SCP). The fluctuated demands, however, will break the balance between demand and supply. It means that the present SCP is useless in responding the changed demands. Thus it is necessary for SCP to be updated with changed demands. We call this procedure as Supply Chain Replanning. However, the existing measures for SC can not deal with the balance between supply and demand so that they can not detect effectively the timing of replanning. For this reason, a new performance measure, Balancing Point, is developed using momentum, a concept of Physics. It can treat the balance between supply and demand. Also, a replanning method based on Balancing Point is proposed. The proposed method is more effective than the existing replanning method, periodic replanning method and net inventory method.

  • Objective of the study is to evaluate volumetric and dosimetric alterations taking place during radiotherapy for locally advanced head and neck cancer (LAHNC) and to assess benefit of replanning in them. Materials and Methods: Thirty patients with LAHNC fulfilling the inclusion and exclusion criteria were enrolled in a prospective study. Planning scans were acquired both pre-treatment and after 20 fractions (mid-course) of radiotherapy. Single plan (OPLAN) based on initial CT scan was generated and executed for entire treatment course. Beam configuration of OPLAN was applied to anatomy of interim scan and a hybrid plan (HPLAN30) was generated. Adaptive replanning (RPLAN30) for remaining fractions was done and dose distribution with and without replanning compared for remaining fractions. Results: Substantial shrinkage of target volume (TV) and parotids after 4 weeks of radiotherapy was reported (p<0.05). No significant difference between planned and delivered doses was seen for remaining fractions. Hybrid plans showed increase in delivered dose to spinal cord and parotids for remaining fractions. Interim replanning improved homogeneity of treatment plan and significantly reduced doses to cord (Dmax, D2% and D1%) and ipsilateral parotid (D33%, D50% and D66%) (p<0.05). Conclusions: Use of one or two mid-treatment CT scans and replanning provides greater normal tissue sparing along with improved TV coverage.

  • Unmanned aerial vehicles are widely used in various fields, and real-time path replanning is a critical factor in enhancing the safety and efficiency of these devices. In this paper, we propose a real-time path replanning technique based on RRT* and LOSPO. The proposed technique first generates an initial path using the RRT* algorithm and then optimizes the path using LOSPO. Additionally, the optimized path can be converted into a trajectory that considers actual time and the dynamic limits of the aircraft. In this process, environmental changes and collision risks are detected in real-time, and the path is replanned as needed to maintain safe operation. This method has been verified through simulation-based experiments. The results of this paper make a significant contribution to the research on real-time path replanning for UAVs, and by applying this technique to various situations, the safety and efficiency of UAVs can be improved.

  • In this paper, a global path replanning method is proposed in order to plan a global path minimizing the risk of the unmanned vehicle on the battlefield. We first introduce 4D environmental information consisting of mobility, visibility, kill, and hit attributes, and a unified threat map and a mobility map are defined by the four attributes. Using the mobility map, the unmanned vehicle can find the shortest path on the traversable area. And then taking into account the deterrent according to the type of the unmanned vehicle on the integrated threat map, the vehicle can generate a route to suppress or avoid the threat of enemy as well. Moreover, we present a waypoints bypassing method to exclude unnecessary waypoints rather than the mission point when planning paths for the multiple waypoints.

  • This paper proposes a goal oriented action planning method that plans the behaviors of computer generated forces and a replanning method that replans new actions when the situations are changed in war game. This new method provides good expression because it is flexible and can do more realized description unlike the conventional finite state machines. As a result, proposed method has an advantage that it can describe the behaviors of computer generated forces as those of real soldier. However, since it is not deterministic it has some difficulties in analysing the decision processing of behaviors and making the computer generated forces do some specific actions. We employed combat plane models of air forces in order to verify the feasibility of our method. Finally, we could find that our method produced very similar behaviors to those of a real soldier. This paper describes our planning method, experimental results, and future works.

  • WRC-2000 adopted the Regions 1 and 3 BSS and associated feeder-link Plans as well as the Regions 1 and 3 BSS and associated feeder-link Lists. These Regions 1 and 3 BSS and associated feeder-link Plans provide, in general, each country of Region 1 with 10 digital channels of 27MHZ bandwidth and each country of Region 3 with 12 digital channels of 27MHZ bandwidth. In this study, we summarize the results of associated meetings and analyze the effects of BSS replanning in Korea. We study the effective interference analysis through the review of Radio Regulations and associate Resolution. Furthermore, interference analysis of inter-broadcasting satellite systems will be done with MSPACEG S/W.

  • The rolling schedule procedure has been an important part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The performance of production planning in an ERP system depends on the selection of the three parameters in rolling schedule procedure: frozen interval, replanning interval, and planning horizon (forecast window). This research investigated, in a theoretical approach, the combined impact of selections of those three parameters. The proven mathematical theorems provided guidance to re-duction of instability (nervousness) and to seek the optimal balance between stability and responsiveness of ERP systems. Further the theorems are extended to incorporate the cost structure.

  • This paper presents a production planning methodology for semiconductor manufacturing supply chain network with volatilities caused by uncertainties such as unstable demand and price. In order to take volatilities into account, we develop two approaches; 1) stochastic model with consideration of various cases and 2) deterministic model considering replanning cost, and propose efficient solution methods. Computational experiments show that the performance of the proposed method is superior to that of deterministic approach using various scenarios.
