Urban watershed can be found in the visible changes in technology, the most realistic satellite images is to use the data. Satellite image data on the indicators for progress on the nature of the change of land use is consistent and repetitive information, regular observation makes possible the detailed analysis of space-time. These remote sensing techniques and the type of course and, by using the time series history, the past, the dynamic model and the randomized prediction methodology for the conversion process if the city and river basin cooperation of the space changes effectively will be able to extrapolate. For each of the main changes in river flow, depending on the area of urbanization as determined according to reproduce the duration of the relationship between the urbanization of the area and runoff can be represented as a linear polynomial expression was, if a linear expression in the two fast slew rate of 0.858 to 0.861 showed up, and fast slew rate of 0.934 to 0.974 for the polynomial are reported. Change of land use changes in the watershed of the flow is one of the most affecting elements. Therefore, changes in land use of the correct classification of rivers is a more accurate calculation of the amount of the floodgate. In particular, using the Landsat images through the image of the land use category, land use past data and calculated using the Markov Chain model and predict the future land use plan in the water control project will be used for large likely.

Recent proliferation of building information modeling (BIM) has actively stimulated integrated utilization of geometric (graphic) and non-geometric (non-graphic) data. Nevertheless, physically and logically, linking and maintaining these two different types of data in an integrated manner requires enormous overhead efforts for practical implementation. In order to address this problem, this paper proposes a concept and structure of the object breakdown structure (OBS) that facilitates advanced BIM implementations in an automated and effective manner. Proposed OBS numbering system has secure rules for organizing graphic objects in full considerations of effectively integrating with non-geometric data (e.g. cost and schedule). It also removes repetitive linking process caused by design changes or modifications. The result of applying this concept to a housing project revealed that only 120 definitions controled over 6,000 graphic objects for full integration with cost and schedule functions.

The construction industry has made great strides in the past decades by utilizing computer programs including CAD. However, compared to other manufacturing sectors, labor productivity is low due to the high proportion of workers' knowledge-based task in addition to simple repetitive task. Therefore, the knowledge-based task efficiency of workers should be improved by recognizing the visual information of computers. A computer needs a lot of training data, such as the ImageNet project, to recognize visual information. This study, aim at proposing building facade datasets that is efficiently constructed by quickly collecting building facade data through portal site road view and automatically labeling using deep learning as part of construction of image dataset for visual recognition construction by the computer. As a method proposed in this study, we constructed a dataset for a part of Dongseong-ro, Daegu Metropolitan City and analyzed the utility and reliability of the dataset. Through this, it was confirmed that the computer could extract the significant facade information of the portal site road view by recognizing the visual information of the building facade image. Additionally, In contribution to verifying the feasibility of building construction image datasets. this study suggests the possibility of securing quantitative and qualitative facade design knowledge by extracting the facade design knowledge from any facade all over the world.
BIM facilitates data transparency and consistency through three-dimensional parametric modeling and promotes the accurate managing and sharing of project information. In Korea, however, BIM-based detailed design of architectural interior finishes required during the Construction Documents phase increases the burden on architectural firms due to frequent design changes and manual workload. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to establish rule-based modules using parametric modeling that automates repetitive tasks that occur during the detailed design of interior finishing. Interviews with practitioners were conducted to analyze the major finishing elements. Of these floors, walls, and ceilings, which were the most rudimentary and common items, were selected as the subjects of the study. The modules developed in this study have two functions. One is to create new finish types, and the other is the automatic modeling of new types into rooms. For these functions, parameters that belonged to each finish and room element in a BIM model were analyzed and valid parameters directly used for parametric modeling were derived. Then, based on these parameters, rule-based modules for three elements, I.e., floors, walls, and ceilings were constructed with Revit Dynamo, and the effectiveness of the modules was verified with a pilot test. In conclusion, this study suggested a series of processes for automatic finishing to improve the efficiency of BIM-based architectural detailed design of finishes and to contribute in solving the chronic problems occuring during current design processes.
Brassica rape is an important species used as a vegetable, oil, and fodder worldwide. It is related phylogenically to Arabidopsis thaliana, which has already been fully sequenced as a model plant. The 'Multinational Brassica Genome Project (MBGP)'was launched by the international Brassica community with the aim of sequencing the whole genome of B. rapa in 2003 on account of its value and the fact that it has the smallest genome among the diploid Brassica. The genome study was carried out not only to know the structure of genome but also to understand the function and the evolution of the genes comprehensively. There are two mapping populations, over 1,000 molecular markers and a genetic map, 2 BAC libraries, physical map, a 22 cDHA libraries as suitable genomic materials for examining the genome of B. rapa ssp. pekinensis Chinese cabbage. As the first step for whole genome analysis, 220,000 BAC-end sequences of the KBrH and KBrB BAC library are achieved by cooperation of six countries. The results of BAC-end sequence analysis will provide a clue in understanding the structure of the genome of Brassica rapa by analyzing the gene sequence, annotation and abundant repetitive DHA. The second stage involves sequencing of the genetically mapped seed BACs and identifying the overlapping BACs for complete genome sequencing. Currently, the second stage is comprises of process genetic anchoring using communal populations and maps to identify more than 1,000 seed BACs based on a BAC-to-BAC strategy. For the initial sequencing, 629 seed BACs corresponding to the minimum tiling path onto Arabidopsis genome were selected and fully sequenced. These BACs are now anchoring to the genetic map using the development of SSR markers. This information will be useful for identifying near BAC clones with the seed BAC on a genome map. From the BAC sequences, it is revealed that the Brassica rapa genome has extensive triplication of the DNA segment coupled with variable gene losses and rearrangements within the segments. This article introduces the current status and prospective of Korea Brassica Genome Project and the bioinformatics tools possessed in each national team. In the near future, data of the genome will contribute to improving Brassicas for their economic use as well as in understanding the evolutional process.

Annually repeated flood damage is bringing about the rapid increasement of the loss of human lives and properly, and the enormous social cost for the restoration work is required. The annual amount of flood damage caused by the abnormal climate is reached about 1% of GDP, so more effective management of the flood control operation is needed to prevent the repetitive flood occurred same region. Also, the systematic planning and management or river improvement works are keenly required for the more effective execution of government working budget that expense to recover or to prevent the flood damage. The several organizations of government - Ministry of Construction & Transportation, Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affair, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Science & Technology, Korea Meteorological Adminstration and so on - are promoting the flood prevention operations, but those promotion system makes it difficult to maintain the consistency of works. In this study, we try to develop the Web-GIS system prototype that will be able to effectively manage the nationwide river improvement works and to establish a framework that will be able to maintain the consistency of river improvement works. To achieve the study goals, we analysed current system of flood prevention operations, gathered related documents, had interviews with many government employees, and developed the Web-GIS system prototype.

Focusing on repetitive works of construction, many research have been conducted about application of the learning curve effect. However, it is still controversial, especially on the high-rise project, since the productivity improvement from the learning curve effects are hard to prove. In the previous research, applicability of the learning curve was mainly derived from the labor productivity data. Although the research were based on the real data, they merely concentrated on the simple conclusion that the labor productivity had improved or not, instead of the process interpretation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the influence factors of the learning curve effect in high-rise projects and elucidate the offset factors of the effect. Based on these factors, a model for estimating the labor productivity containing the concept of process learning is suggested. Through our research, traditional learning curve theory could be compensated and re-established with having more appropriateness for high-rise projects.

Habitat loss by industrialization, urbanization, and poaching reduced the population of Asiatic black bear (Ursus thibetabus ussuricus) population in South Korea in the late 20th Century. In the early 2000s, the Korean Government had begun a restoration project of Asiatic black bear. In 2017, a bear was found in Mt. Sudosan, Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do, approximately 80 km from Mt. Jirisan where the bear was first released. Genetic analysis confirmed that this bear was one of the Jirisan bear population, estimating that this bear escaped from its habitat. After trapping this bear in Mt. Sudosan, it was rereleased again in Mt. Jirisan, but this bear moved again to Mt. Sudosan. After 2nd trapping and releasing, this bear came back to Mt. Sudosan. In Mt. Sudosan, this bear covered a greater distance and moved more as compared to other Asiatic black bear in Mt. Jirisan. Today, this bear has its home range within Mt. Sudosan area after the third release, estimating that this bear is stable and active in this area. Our findings are the first case showing the interesting pattern of repetitive disperse activities and habitat expansion of Asiatic black bear. The results of this case are valuable information that can be used for wildlife conservation and restoration of endangered wildlife.
Yeongjong-do is seventh largest island in the west coast of Korea which is 4.8 km away in the direction of south-west from Incheon. The mudflat area around the Yeongjong-do has variable dimension according to tide level. In addition, Yeongjong-do is important area with high environmental value as wintering sites for migratory birds. The mudflat of Yeongjong-do is also meaningful region because it is used as place of education and tourist attraction. But, there are increasing concerns about preservation of mudflat area caused by artificial development such as land reclamation project and Incheon airport construction. In this paper, mudflat area was detected using Landsat 7 ETM+ images that United States Geological Survey (USGS) is providing the data in 16 days period. The false color composite was made from band 7, 5, and 3 that could dividing boundary between water and land for the purpose of appearance of boundary line in mudflat region. This area was calculated using results of classification based on false color composite images and was digitized through repetitive algorithm during research of period. Therefore, the change of northeastern area in Yeongjong-do was detected according to tide level during 16 years from 2000 to 2015 on the basis of providing period at tide station. This paper will expect as indicator for range of area in same tide level prior to the start of the research for preservation of mudflat. It will be also scientific grounds about change of mudflat area caused by artificial development.

Natural ground is a composite consisted of the three phases of water, air and soil paircies. Among the three components, water as a material is weU understood but soil particles are not in foundation engineering. Especially, weathered granite soil generally shows a large volumetric expansion when they freeze. And, the stability and durability of the soil have shown decreased with repetitive freezing and thawing processes. These unique charcteristics may cause various construction and management problems if the soil is used as a construction material and foundation layers. This project was initiated to investigate the soil's physical and engineering characteristics resulting from freezing and freezing-thawing processes. Research results may be used as a basic data in solving various problems related to the soil's unique characteristics. The following conclusions were obtained: The degree of decomposition of weathered granite soil in Kangwon-do was very different between the West and East sides of the divide of the Dae-Kwan Ryung. Soil particles distributed wide from very coarse to fine particles. Consistency could be predicted with a function of P200 as LL=0.8 P200+20. Permeability ranged from 10-2 to 10-4cm/sec, moisture content from 15 to 20% and maximum dry density from 1.55 to 1.73 g /cmΥ$^3$ By compaction, soil particles easily crushed, D50 of soil particles decreased and specific surface significantly increased. Shear characteristics varied wide depending on the disturbance of soil. Strain characteristics influenced the soil's dynamic behviour. Elastic failure mode was observed if strain was less than 1O-4/s and plastic failure mode was observed if strain was more than 10-2/s. The elastic wave velocity in the soil rapidly increased if dry density became larger than 1.5 g /cm$^3$ and these values were Vp=250, Vg= 150, respectively. Frost heave ratio was the highest around 0 $^{\circ}C$ and the maximum frost heave pressure was observed when deformation ratio was less than 10% which was the stability state of soil freezing. The state had no relation with frost depth. Over freezing process was observed when drainage or suction freezing process was undergone. Drainage freezing process was observed if freezing velocity was high under confined pressure and suction frost process was occurred if the velocity was low under the same confined process.
