  • If the automated image calibration system is performed in the position of non-experts, an expert will be required in every case inefficiently. But this requires an expert only when absolutely necessary. As well as the rapid system operation and efficient workforce can be managed. Image correction to perform projector inspection and management skills and to filter SW plug-in correction is that special theater system maintenance is not only managed efficiently, but also combined image analysis techniques can improve the technical perfection. This paper is to minimize the economic loss by developing a 10-bit High-depth and high-resolution $360^{\circ}$ projection image analysis technique and is to development of the special theater calibration system to effectively support quality.

  • Pyroprocessing technology was developed in the beginning for metal fuel treatment in the US in the 1960s. The conventional aqueous process, such as PUREX, is not appropriate for treating metal fuel. Pyroprocessing technology has advantages over the aqueous process: less proliferation risk, treatment of spent fuel with relatively high heat and radioactivity, compact equipment, etc. The addition of an oxide reduction process to the pyroprocessing metal fuel treatment enables handling of oxide spent fuel, which draws a potential option for the management of spent fuel from the PWR. In this context, KAERI has been developing pyroprocessing technology to handle the oxide spent fuel since the 1990s. This paper describes the current status of pyroprocessing technology development at KAERI from the head-end process to the waste treatment. A unit process with various scales has been tested to produce the design data associated with the scale up. A performance test of unit processes integration will be conducted at the PRIDE facility, which will be constructed by early 2012. The PRIDE facility incorporates the unit processes all together in a cell with an Ar environment. The purpose of PRIDE is to test the processes for unit process performance, operability by remote equipment, the integrity of the unit processes, process monitoring, Ar environment system operation, and safeguards related activities. The test of PRIDE will be promising for further pyroprocessing technology development.

  • This study examines the influence of long-range transport of dust particles and air pollutants on both local/regional DMS oxidation chemistry and the distribution of sulfur compounds at Jeju Island (33.17$^{\circ}$ N. 126.10$^{\circ}$ E) during the Asian dust-storm(ADS) period in April 2001. The atmospheric concentrations of these sulfur species were measured at a ground station on Jeju Island. Korea as Part of the ACE-Asia intensive operation. Three ADS events were observed during the periods of 10-12, 13-14. and 25-26 April. respectively. The concentrations of DMS and CS$_2$ were higher during the ADS period than during the non-Asian-dust-storm (NADS) period. Conversely. a difference in SO$_2$ levels during the ADS period was not distinguishable from those during the NADS period. The diurnal variation pattern of DMS observed was largely different from that in the remote marine boundary layer. DMS loss by NO$_3$ in the atmospheric boundary layer was dominant due to significantly high NOx levels influenced by the long-range transport of pollutants from East Asia to Jeju Island The DMS maximum during the ADS period was observed in the late afternoon. The oceanic fluxes of DMS during the ADS and NADS periods were estimated to be 5.7$\pm$2.3 and 2.9 (+2.8/-1.5) mole m$^{-2}$ day$^{-1}$ . respectively. The contribution of oxidized DMS to SO$_2$ levels at Jeju Island during the study period was found to be insignificant.

  • Evapotranspiration (ET) is a critical component of the hydrologic cycle which influences economic activities as well as the natural ecosystem. While there have been numerous studies on ET estimation for homogeneous areas using point measurements of meteorological variables, monitoring of spatial ET has not been possible at landscape - or watershed - scales. We propose a site-specific application of the land surface model, which is enabled by spatially interpolated input data at the desired resolution. Gyunggi Province of South Korea was divided into a regular grid of 10 million cells with 30m spacing and hourly temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation and solar irradiance were estimated for each grid cell by spatial interpolation of synoptic weather data. Topoclimatology models were used to accommodate effects of topography in a spatial interpolation procedure, including cold air drainage on nocturnal temperature and solar irradiance on daytime temperature. Satellite remote sensing data were used to classify the vegetation type of each grid cell, and corresponding spatial attributes including soil texture, canopy structure, and phenological features were identified. All data were fed into a standalone version of SiB2(Simple Biosphere Model 2) to simulate latent heat flux at each grid cell. A computer program was written for data management in the cell - based SiB2 operation such as extracting input data for SiB2 from grid matrices and recombining the output data back to the grid format. ET estimates at selected grid cells were validated against the actual measurement of latent heat fluxes by eddy covariance measurement. We applied this system to obtain the spatial ET of the study area on a continuous basis for the 2001-2003 period. The results showed a strong feasibility of using spatial - data driven land surface models for operational monitoring of regional ET.

  • The GPS positioning involves not only 'natural' errors associated with the satellites position errors, refraction of EM wave in the ionosphere, etc., but also 'artificial' errors associated with the operation of S/A (Selective Availability). In this paper, we present the principles, accuracies and applicabilities of our personal DGPS method, which employs the position-correction method on the GPS positionings data collected at the reference and the remote sites. The essential requirement of our DGPS method is that two GPS receivers should utilize the identical Navstar satellites at the same time. The positioning error (1 drms) of the stand-alone GPS is of an order of a few tens meters, while that of horizontal position by our DGPS method is about 1m and that of vertical position is about 2m We applied out DGPS technique in positioning moving objects, and obtained satisfactory results in tracking the trajectories of a car on the road and the those of drifters in the sea.

  • In this paper, we proposed the design of the intelligent traffic control system by using multiprocessor architecture. The inter-processor communication of the architecture is implemented by sharing the serial communication channel. In comparing the conventional traffic control system using single processor architecture, the proposed system uses multiple processors controlling the sub systems such as the signal lights, traffic measurement unit, auxiliary signal lights and peripherals. The main processor controls the communication among the processors and the communication protocol link to the central control center at remote site. The proposed architecture reduces the load and simplifies the program of each processor and enables the real time processing of the add-on features of intelligent traffic control systems. The architecture is implemented and the common channel inter-processor communications and the real time operation is experimented .experimented .

  • Ultra-wideband antennas are desired for several applications including satellite communications, radars, remote sensing system, telescopes, and microwave imaging systems. There are many types of wideband antenna structures, but the tapered slot Vivaldi antenna is advantageous in terms of cost, weight, scan angle capabilities, end-fire radiation, and ease of feeding and system integration. In this paper, a modified antipodal Vivaldi antenna is presented. A novel AVA with H-shaped parasitic patches has the capacity to improve the radiation characteristics in the whole operation frequencies. A prototype of the modified antenna with RT/duroid 5880 substrate of a relative dielectric constant (${\epsilon}_r$) of 2.2, and a thickness of 31mil is fabricated and experimentally studied as well. It measures a ${\mid}S_{11}{\mid}$ of less than -10dB and gain of 9-12dBi over 7.8-52.5GHz which shows reasonable agreement with the simulated one.

  • This paper presents a new technique for generating an optimum synchronizable test sequence that can be applied in the distributed test architecture where both external synchronization and input/output operation costs are taken into consideration. The method defines a set of phases that constructs a tester-related digraph from a given finite state machine representation of a protocol specification such that a minimum cost tour of the digraph with intrinsically synchronizable transfer sequences can be used to generate an optimum synchronizable test sequence using synchronizable state identification sequences as the state recognition sequence for each state of the given finite state machine. This hybrid approach with a heuristic and optimization technique provides a simple and elegant solution to the synchronization problem that arises during the application of a predetermined test sequence in some protocol test architectures that utilize remote testers.

  • Security services that support electric energy service gateway require relatively high reliability. In particular, the application services that accompany communications and data are run organically. Each of the security services should support a secure service platform that supports a secure, scalable life cycle for existing services which should be extends security layer of Universal Middleware such as OSGi platform. In this convergence platform, it is the study of security transfer modular services that allow independent life cycle management of systems through Universal middleware. First, It is modular in terms of energy consumption service and data, enabling real-time operation, communications, remote management and applications. Second, the life cycle of the secure module to support the life cycle of secure, delete, start and updating of the security module by applying the security policy module layer concept. It is modular in terms of power generation and accountability, enabling us to distinguish between reliability and accountability in a large volume of data models in the smart grid, the service was intended to be standardized and applied to the security service platform.
