The Research on Informatization Level Evaluation Model in Construction Company (건설 정보화 수준 평가모형 연구)

  • This study designed model that could scientifically and objectively evaluate a level of informatization of construction companies in consideration of informatization characteristics and limitations identified in researches related to the evaluation of informatization level of construction companies, so at to create the e-business environment for the construction companies including the enhancement of informatization consciousness and to improve capacity to carry out informatization. To do this, the study defined requirements to develop new model of construction informatization level and the characteristics of construction companies, and developed components of informatization level model and measuring methods that could meet the requirements based on theories and literature. The developed informatization level model were reviewed for validity and reliability through statistical method by carrying out the questionnaire survey on 200 companies along with an advisory group of experts. As the result of this study, we could suggest the directions for informatization to narrow the gap between the current level of informatization and the managerial goals in construction company.

A Revised MintRoute Protocol for (m,k)-firm Streams in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 (m,k)-firm 스트림을 위한 MintRoute 프로토콜의 확장)

  • Since the wireless sensor networks become pervasive, various application-specific requirement have been emerged and suggested. Among them, reliability and real-time service are ones of big research challenges since sensed information is useless if a packet is lost and delivered later than deadline. Even though many research works have been proposed, they was designed to meet one of both requirements. To solve above problem, in this paper, we propose how to extend current protocol to meet two requirements together. More detailed, Mint Route protocol is revised to meet specific real-time requirement, (m,k)-firm stream in wireless sensor networks. Since the main operations in MintRoute are very similar to definition of (m,k)-firm stream, extension is achieved by modifying some parts of procedure. Finally, the simulation results are given and analyzed to validate the its suitability for reliable and real-time requirement.

  • The governments in many country recently focus their efforts on developing the industry of Internet of Thing (IoT). At the same time, each industrial field considers to apply the IoT concept and develops their own IoT system for upgrading the existing services or launching new services. In the railway field, many organizations such as Korea Rail Network Authority (KR) expect that the IoT concept can bring many good effects and try to adopt IoT to their existing railway services. In this paper, we survey the current technology level of IoT platform, which is a core technology to realize IoT, and figure out the technical requirements and challenges to apply IoT platform to railway environments.

  • With the possibility of wireless control of the aircraft by Nicola Tesla, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV) was mainly used for military and defense purposes with the rapid development through World War I and II. As civilian applications of unmanned aerial vehicles have expanded, they have been used with various services, and attempts have been made to control various environmental changes and risk factors of unmanned aerial vehicles. However, GPS spoofing, Jamming attack and security accidents are occurring due to the communication in the unmaned aerial vehicle system or the security vulnerability of the unmanned aerial vehicle itself. In order to secure introduction of Unmanned aerial vehicle, South Korea has established Unmanned Aerial Vehicle verification system called Airworthiness Certification. However, the existing cerfication system is more focused on test flight, design and structure's safety and reliability. In this paper, we propose a unmanned aerial vehicle system model and propose security functional requirements on unmanned aerial vehicle system in the corresponding system model for secure-introduction of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. We suggest the development direction of verification technology. From this proposal, future development directions of evaluation and verification technology of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle will be presented.

Characteristics of Joint Between Ag-Pd Thick Film Conductor and Solder Bump and Interfacial Reaction (Ag-Pd 후막도체와 솔더범프 사이의 접합특성 및 계면반응)

  • The requirements for harsh environment electronic controllers in automotive applications have been steadily becoming more and more stringent. Electronic substrate technologists have been responding to this challenge effectively in an effort to meet the performance, reliability and cost requirements. An effect of the plasma cleaning at the ECM(Engine Control Module) alumina substrate and the intermetallic compound layer between Sn-37wt%Pb solder and pad joints after reflow soldering has been studied. Organic residual carbon layer was removed by the substrate plasma cleaning. So the interfacial adhesive strength was enhanced. As a result of AFM measurement, conductor pad roughness were increased from 304 nm to 330 nm. $Cu_6/Sn_5$ formed during initial reflow process at the interface between TiWN/Cu pad and solder grew by the succeeding reflow process, so the grains became coarse. A cellular-shaped $Ag_3Sn$ was observed at the interface between Ag-Pd conductor pad and solder. The diameters of the $Ag_3Sn$ grains ranged from about 0.1∼0.6 $\mu\textrm{m}$. And a needle-shaped was also observed at the inside of the solder.

  • Flight software operated on the on-board computers in the satellite has requirements such as real-time, high reliability. These requirements make dependency between the flight software and operating environments. Further, whenever a new system is built, such problem drives that all flight software are redeveloped. Thus, the dependency problem between them should be solved. And the problem can be resolved by improving the portability of the flight software. In order to improve the portability it is required to minimize the porting cost. In this paper, we classify the portability with the portability achieving methods. Using the classified portability, we propose a platform architecture that is based on the IMA concept and provides various portability capabilities. The proposed architecture enables us to solve the problem about the development of the flight software.

  • Modern weapon systems are getting more complex in terms of the functionality and also the conditions on the environment and range in which they are deployed and used. Therefore, many development programs can easily be exposed to a variety of risks, resulting in delayed schedules and cost overrun. As such, effective means are necessary to keep the defence budget at an affordable level while competitive edges on technological aspects are retained. As one way to meet those need, modeling and simulation (M&S) methods have widely been used, particularly in the test and evaluation (T&E) process for weapon systems development. The result of M&S-based systems development should be evaluated by the verification, validation & accreditation (VV&A) process to assure keeping reliability at a desired level. On the other hand, due to the explosiveness, the weapons systems development naturally requires to consider safety issues in both the T&E and operational periods. The purpose of this paper is to improve the VV&A process by reflecting the safety requirements therein. To do so, the VV&A process has been analyzed and graphically modeled first and then safety elements have been incorporated effectively. The use of the improved process in the war ships development has also been discussed. Based on the process proposed and the consequent database constructed, the target system can be expected to benefit from reducing development risks while assuring systems safety.

Study on Risk-based Satellite Product Assurance and Tailoring (리스크 기반의 위성 제품보증 및 테일러링 분석)

  • Space agencies such as NASA, ESA, and the US military provide guidelines and standards for PA(product assurance) requirements and plans. In recent years, major satellite manufacturers around the world have been mitigating PA requirements and processes by tailoring. PA tailoring has been implemented to improve the cost and schedule efficiency. PA tailoring can be accomplished based on various factors such as mission, classification of mission risk, complexity, development cost, life cycle, etc. In this study, PA tasks according to the mission risk classification proposed by NASA are investigated, and the tailoring method is suggested for the optimization of the development cost and schedule. In particular, the classification of mission risk for the satellites under development or operation in Korea is performed, and PA characteristics in accordance with mission risk are analyzed.

  • This paper describes Real-Time Trasport Protocol(RTTP) that procisdes for a ; user cmnnection-oriented sercices with performance fuarantee.Assuming that eral-time network services will be provided,RTTP solves provlems at end-hosts.RTTP has defined a new set of primitives for real-time communication servies based on the analysis of uwer requirements on various applications.Introducing the notion of Abstract Network Layer independent of real networks.RTTP's implementation scheme can be applied to various netwoeks.The study also intriduces an inplemenation strategy, provide prdeictability of protocol processing time,wich should be known a priori for performance guarantee.Intermally,RTTP has a set of QoS translation rules that change a user'w performance requirements to the equivalent network QoS paramenters.RTTP also introuduces a new apportunistic error control mehtod that can trade-off between overhead and error corredtion according to a uwer's requirement on reliability.

Thus, the dependency between them should be removed. And the work can be achieved by improving the portability of the flight software. In this paper, we propose a platform architecture based on the IMA architecture. The platform architecture is a hybrid one built by blending two kinds of realizations of the IMA architecture in order to maximize portability. In addition, we implement a prototype system and analyze the execution results of the system to justify the proposed architecture. The proposed architecture enables us to remove the dependency between fight software and operating environments.
