The Effects of Adolescents' Relationships with Parents and School/Institute Teachers as Protective Factors on Smartphone Addiction: Comparative Analysis of Elementary, Middle, and High School Levels in South Korea

  • This study was conducted for the purpose of empirically analyzing the effects of adolescents' relationships with major adults as protective factors for smartphone addiction. Specifically, the study compared the discriminatory effects of adolescents' relationships with their parents, school teachers, and educational institute teachers on smartphone addiction among elementary, middle, and high school students in Korea. Analyzing the data of the 2019 Korean Children & Youth Happiness Index (N=7,454), it was found that relationships with adults were significant factors in explaining the level of smartphone addiction even after controlling for the influences of adolescents' demographics, usage time, and friendship factors. For elementary school students, good relationships with their mothers and school teachers decreased the risk of smartphone addiction. On the other hand, in the case of middle school students, only a good relationship with father functioned as a protective factor. Good relationships with their fathers and institute teachers decreased the level of high school students' smartphone addiction. Based on these findings, this study discussed on the development of programs and policies for prevention and intervention of adolescents' smartphone addiction and provided suggestions for follow-up research in the future.

지적장애 청소년의 사회적 관계에 관한 포토보이스 연구 (A Photovoice Study of Social Relationships among Adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities)

  • 본 연구는 포토보이스 연구방법을 이용하여 지적장애 청소년이 사회적 관계에서 경험하는 어려움과 바람을 탐색하였다. 일반 고등학교에 재학 중인 지적장애 청소년 6명(평균연령=18.33세)은 7회기로 구성된 포토보이스 프로그램에 참여하였다. 이들은 집단토의를 통해 사람들과의 관계에 대한 구체적인 주제를 선정하였고, 선정된 주제와 관련한 사진을 직접 촬영하여 참여자들과 공유하였다. 본 연구에서는 지적장애 청소년들의 5가지 사회적 관계(친구, 학교 선생님, 이성친구, 부모님, 필요한 사람)와 관련하여 총 15가지 하위주제-(1)친구들과의 관계(친구들과 어울리지 못해 외롭고 고독함, 친구들로부터 놀림과 괴롭힘을 당함, 친구들과의 관계를 회복하기 위해 노력함), (2)학교 선생님과의 관계(나의 마음을 이해해 주는 선생님께 감사함, 선생님과 교류가 많지 않아 속상함, 선생님이 나의 학교생활에 관심을 가져주기를 바람), (3)이성친구와의 관계(이성친구와 교제하고 싶음, 이성친구를 사귀는 것이 두렵고 걱정됨, 이성친구를 사귀기 위해 노력함), (4)부모님과의 관계(부모님의 한결같은 사랑에 감사함, 부모님과 함께 하는 시간이 즐거움, 아버지와 관계가 소원하여 아쉬움), (5)나에게 필요한 사람(나와 함께 해 주는 사람, 나의 어려움을 도와주는 사람, 나를 포기하지 않는 사람)-가 도출되었다. 본 연구는 지적장애 청소년의 사회적 관계를 증진시키기 위해 또래관계 향상 프로그램 및 또래갈등 대처방식 훈련, 이성관계 교육, 사회적 기술 강화, 비장애 청소년 및 교사, 사회복지사를 대상으로 하는 장애학생의 사회적 욕구에 대한 교육 등 사회복지실천적 함의를 제공하였다.

  • The main object of the study is that axial force-moment relationships for high strength concrete structures using reliability theory(Linear statstical method, Monte Carlo Simulation) including probability conception. And mean stress factors and centroid factors proposed to high strength concrete structures using reliability theory(Linear statstical method, Monte Carlo Simulation). Finally, The established experimental data for axial force-moment relationships are compared to the analytical data(data for Linear statstical method and Monte Carlo Simulation) for axial force-moment relationships in this analytical method.

거동불편 노인의 생활 만족도에 관한 연구 (Life Satisfaction of the Poor-health Elderly)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among life satisfaction of the elderly in poor health conditions, their self esteem, health and financial status, family relationships, and social participation. A structured questionnaire was used to interview 228 elderly who were randomly selected from Sungbuk-ku, Seoul. The regression analysis showed the most powerful predictors of life satisfaction of the poor-health elderly were self esteem, relationships with their adult children, perceived financial status, relationships with grandchildren, and the amount of allowances in that order These variables accounted for 39% of life satisfaction of the sample.

Deducing thick plate solutions from classical thin plate solutions

  • This paper reviews the author's work on the development of relationships between solutions of the Kirchhoff (classical thin) plate theory and the Mindlin (first order shear deformation) thick plate theory. The relationships for deflections, stress-resultants, buckling loads and natural frequencies enable one to obtain the Mindlin plate solutions from the well-known Kirchhoff plate solutions for the same problem without much tedious mathematics. Sample thick plate solutions, deduced from the relationships, are presented as benchmark solutions for researchers to use in checking their numerical thick plate solutions.

판매원 브랜드 관계, 고객 지향성 및 고객 점포 충성도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Salesperson Brand Relationships, Customer Orientation, and Customer Store Loyalty)

  • Purpose - As the importance of salesperson attitudes and behaviors enhancing customer perception and loyalty have increased, many retail companies put emphasis on internal marketing activities. The issue also has captured the interest of academics, but most of the previous research tends to be limited to investigating antecedents of salesperson job satisfaction and commitment. Based on the consumer-brand relationship concepts, this study aims to examine the effects of the salesperson-brand relationships on customers' service evaluation and store loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - In a structural equation model, it is hypothesized that salesperson brand identification influences salespersons' brand trust and affect, which are the two dimensions of consumer-brand relationships. Salespersons' brand trust and affect are expected to increase salespersons' customer orientation, which in turn influences customers' service evaluations and store loyalty. To test this hypotheses a set of data collected from department stores in Seoul is utilized. Results - First, it was found that salesperson brand identification is a significant antecedent to salespersons' brand trust and affects, the two dimensions of salesperson brand relationships. Second, salespersons' brand trust and affect were found to enhance salespersons' customer-oriented behaviors. Third, salespersons' customer orientation showed a significant effect on customers' service evaluation. When a salesperson makes more effort to provide useful information for fulfilling customer needs, customers evaluate the salesperson's service more positively. Finally, customers' service evaluation had a positive impact on customers' store loyalty. Conclusions - This study provides significant academic and practical implications. First, based on the theory of consumer-brand relationships, the concept of salesperson-brand relationships was introduced and found to be an effective motivator of salespersons' customer oriented attitudes and behaviors. Therefore, the two dimensions of brand relationships, brand trust and affect, should be considered as the critical factors both in developing theoretical research and improving long-term company performance. Also, internal marketing activities should focus on maximizing employees' brand identification. That is, retail companies need to put emphasis on sharing their brand values and personality with internal customers to strengthen the brand relationships with salespersons and to enhance customer responses.

어머니, 교사 및 또래와의 관계에 대한 유아의 인식과 자아개념 (Preschooler's Perception of Relationships with Others and Their Self Concepts: Focused on the Relationships with Mother, Teacher, and Peers)

  • 본 연구는 어린이집의 만 5세반 유아 93명을 대상으로 이들의 취학 직전 시기 주변인과의 관계가 유아의 자아개념에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구를 수행하기 위해 유아가 인식한 어머니와의 관계, 교사와의 관계 및 또래와의 관계를 측정하기 위한 그림도구를 제작하였다. 유아의 자아개념도 그림도구로 측정하였으며, 개별 면접을 통해 유아의 인식을 조사하였다. 연구결과, 만 5세 유아는 미시체계에서의 자신의 주변인과의 관계를 비교적 긍정적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이러한 인식은 유아의 자아개념에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 주변인과의 관계 중 유아-교사 간 갈등에 대한 유아의 인식이 이들의 자아개념에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 유아와 주변인과의 관계를 종합적으로 살펴본 선행연구가 매우 부족한 상황에서 주변인과의 관계에 대한 유아의 인식을 직접 측정해 보았다는 점, 그리고 유아의 인식을 측정하기 위해 유아용 그림도구를 제작하여 유아와의 일대일 면접을 실시해보았다는데 의의가 있다.

코로나19 확산에 따른 가족생활 및 가족관계의 변화와 스트레스 (Changes in Family Life and Relationships during the COVID-19 Pandemic and their Associations with Perceived Stress)

  • This study explores how the COVID-19 pandemic has changed family life and relationships as well as how these changes affect perceived stress among married men and women. This study investigated changes in family time use, household work, child care, leisure activities, income and expenditures along with relationships between spouses and children using a sample of 627 married persons surveyed online from May 19 to 25, 2020. The results showed that the amount of time spent on household work, child care, and family leisure have increased and that the perceived burden of household work and child care has also increased. Gender differences were found in time use, household work, and child care. Leisure activities have changed toward more time watching TV or online media and playing online games and less time on outdoor activities, shopping, and meeting friends. About 38% of respondents reported a reduction in household income and 22% reported an increase in household debt. The majority experienced no change in the quality of relationships with spouses and children, approximately 20% of the sample reported a positive change in relationships with spouses and children. The findings of multivariate regression indicated that change in work time, negative change in household economy, negative change in household work and negative change in relationships with spouses were associated with marital stress. However, this study found that negative changes in child care and in relationships with children did not affect stress among married parents with children in elementary or secondary school.

자아존중감, 부모관계, 친구관계가 청소년의 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Self-Esteem, Relationships with Parents and Peer Relationships on Adolescents' Internet Addiction)

  • 본 연구는 중학교 2학년에 재학 중인 남녀 청소년을 대상으로 하여 성별에 따른 인터넷 중독의 차이를 살펴보고 자아존중감, 부모와의 관계 친구관계가 청소년의 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 파악하였다. 서울 시내의 중학교 2학년 학생 439명으로부터 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따른 인터넷 중독의 차이를 분석한 결과, 남자 청소년이 여자 청소년에 비해 더 높은 수준의 인터넷 중독을 경험한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 남자 청소년의 인터넷 중독은 원만하지 못한 친구관계와 낮은 자아존중감에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 여자 청소년의 경우에는 부모와의 관계와 친구관계가 인터넷 중독에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 청소년 개인의 긍정적 발달을 위한 가정과 교육의 기초 자료로 이용되고 청소년의 인터넷 중독 예방을 위한 교육 프로그램 및 청소년 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 수 있다.
