Advanced Business Process Management with Digital Innovations (Review)

  • Many organizations are looking for digital innovation to apply in business process management and this information revolution leaves its effect on the businesses and anticipate competitors. In this article, investigates the strength of the relationship between business process management (BMP) and Digital Innovations (DI) since it has been underdeveloped. The results and findings are extracted from international survey with explanations of expert panel to generalized a positive and moderate link of multiple factors that are affecting the strategic decision-making in business process management. It is extended to the Technology Organization Environment (TOE) framework and contour organizations along their Digital Process Innovation (DPI).

도시주부의 대인적 지지, 생활긴장감 및 만족도 (Interpersonal support, Tension in life changes & Life satisfaction in Urban Housewives)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate interpersonal support, tension in lifechanges & satisfaction. The selected sample is composed of 387 housewives in ChongJoo city. SAS pc program was used for the statistical analysis of the data. Data was analyzed by frequency, F-test, percentage, mean, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Regression Analysis. Major findings as follows: 1)At wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents & parents-in law side were variables to have influence on tension in life changes. And the number of social organization participated were a variable to have influence on the satisfaction. The age of couple, education of couple, duration of marriage, income, family lifecycle, the number of children, pattern of family were variables to influence tension in life changes, but were not variables to influence on the satisfaction. 2) At usual or wedding & funeral ceremony, kin networks of her parents side were variables to influence on instrumental & companionship support. And the number of friends was a variable to influence on companionship & informational support. The number of neighbors was a variable to influence on instrumental, companionship & informational support. The number of social organization participated was a variable to influence on companionship & emotional support. The age of couple, education of couple,income, duration of marriage, family life cycle, number of children, family size, family type were variables to influence on interpersonal support. 3)The relationship between tension and satisfaction in life changes was negative, and between instrumental support and satisfaction was negative also. But between companionship support and satisfaction was positive relationship and between tension of personal &social life and instrumental support was positive relationship. The relationship between tension of marriage life and companionship support was negative and between tension of family life and information support was negative relationships. The received companionship support was lower tension in life changes than not received it. But the received instrumental support was higher tension of personal & social life. The received companionship & informational support was higher satisfaction than not received them. But the received instrumental support was lower satisfaction than not received it. 4) Instrumental & companionship support, at usual kin network of her parents in taw side, at wedding & funeral ceremony kin network of her parents side,were variables to influence on tension in life changes. The effect of CFRP-concrete bond mechanism on dynamic parameters of repaired concrete girders

  • An understanding of the mechanism of concrete girders repaired with CFRP plates and its influence on the dynamic parameters is presented in this paper. Dynamic parameters are governed by the relationship with the physical properties of concrete girders and CFRP plates as well as the adhesive layer between them. A brief explanation of the mechanism of the composite action of concrete girders repaired with CFRP is also given in this paper. Experimental work was carried out to validate the theory of the composite action. The results show a decrease in the modal parameters of CFRP repaired girders that were turned over during the repair procedure, which contrasts with the proven static-based results that CFRP plates increase the stiffness of repaired girders. The composite action theory has explained the results based on the tension and compression forces' growth at the adhesive layer between the CFRP plates and girder surface during the repair procedure. Other girders were prepared and repaired without turning over in order to avoid tension and compression forces at the adhesive layer. The experimental results show an increase in the dynamic parameters of CFRP repaired girders that were not turned over during the repair procedure, which aligns with the static-based results. The study concludes that the dynamic parameters are excellent indicators for the assessment of CFRP repaired concrete girders. The study also suggests that researchers should not turn over damaged concrete girders to repair them with CFRP plates if they intend to study the dynamic parameters, in order to avoid the proposed composite action effect on modal parameters.

STPA를 적용한 의료기기 시스템의 안전성 프로세스 가이드라인 (A Safety Process Guideline of Medical Device System Based on STPA)

  • 의료기기의 오작동이나 고장은 인명 피해나 큰 상해가 발생할 수 있으므로 안전성 확보가 필수적인 분야이다. 이를 위해 국제표준을 제정하고 준수하도록 하고 있지만 이들 표준은 상호의존적이고 특히, 안전성 분석 활동의 경우 시간, 노력, 비용이 많이 소요되어 표준 활동을 통합하고 커스터마이징할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 의료기기 소프트웨어 개발 단계별 수행 활동과 안전성 프로세스의 활동을 통합하였다. 통합된 프로세스를 통해 하나의 프로세스로 체계적인 관리가 가능하며, STPA 기법을 기반으로 하는 프로세스 단계별로 가이드가 제공되어 안전성 활동을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있다.

MIS 평가 유형과 MIS 성과 간의 상황적 관계에 관한 연구 (Contingent Analysis of the Relationship between Evaluation type and MIS Performance)

  • The most critical problem of MIS evaluation is the lack of the systematic framework to cover various factors and viewpoints. To solve this problem, this study takes the multi-level and contingent approach to performance evaluation, composed of three levels: evaluating the contribution of MIS to an organization [strategy level]; evaluating the activities of MIS department or MIS function as an organizational sub-function through the overall MIS lifecycle [function level]; and evaluating the quality or productivity of the application systems as MIS outputs [system level]. Ideal MIS evaluation should include all three levels of the hierarchy with balanced importance. However, MIS evaluationcanbedividedintothreetypes,suchasstrategy-oriented, function-oriented and system-oriented evaluation, depending on the focus and emphasis of evaluation. The usage pattern of each evaluation type is analyzed according to contingent variables of MIS evaluation such as MIS maturity, information intensity and firm size, and top management's intent. It is also found that the firms of higher MIS maturity and top management's intent use the strategy-oriented evaluation type, and the firms with strategy-oriented evaluation type show a higher MIS performance. Further, MIS maturity and top management's intent show contingent effects between evaluation type and MIS performance. Some managerial implications can be drawn based on the results of the study. First, strategy-oriented evaluation of MIS is more important as many firms more often use information technology as a strategic weapon. Second, MIS performance varies with evaluation type. Therefore, the design of MIS evaluation framework should be done carefully in the strategic and managerial contexts. Third, firms are recommend to use a different evaluation type according to organizational characteristics such as MIS maturity and information intensity.

문제중심학습과 신업체 현장실습 연계를 통한 효과적인 PLM 교육에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Problem-Based Learning with Industry Co-operative Program for Effective PLM Education)

  • Generally, a PLM education program in university consists of lectures of theory, software lab and software development raining as an advanced subject. Most industries want more than these, such as practical problem solving capabilities, teamwork skills and engineering communications including human relationship, rhetoric, technical writing, presentation and etc. Problem-Based Learning is a problem-stimulated and student-centered teaming method, and an innovative education strategy for collaborative and self-directed learning by applying real world problems. Education paradigm changes from "teaching" to "learning" accomplished by team working, and students are encouraged to develop, present, explain and defense their ideas, suggestions or solutions of a problem, and the "cooperative teaming" proceeds spontaneously during team operations. Co-operative education program is an into-grated academic model and a structured educational program combining classroom learning with productive work experience in a field related to a student's academic or career goals. Based on the partnership between academic institutions and industries, students are engaged in real and productive "work" in the industry, in contrast with merely observing. In this paper, PBL with Co-op program is suggested as an effective approach for PLM education, and we made and operated a PBL-based education course with industry co-op program. The Co-op education in industry accompanied with the PBL course in university can improve practical problem solving capabilities of students, including modeling and management of P3R(Product, Process, resource and Plant) using commercial PLM software tools. By the result, we found this to be an effective strategy for helping students, professors and industries succeed in engineering education, especially PLM area.

  • IT(Information Technology)가 비즈니스 업무에 도입 구축된 이래, 기업의 비즈니스 모델에 대한 관심사는 지속적으로 커지고 있다. 기업은 수익을 창출할 것으로 예상되는 비즈니스 모델을 만들기 위한 노력을 경주하고 있으나 그 비즈니스 모델이 성공을 한다고 보장할 수는 없다. 신 기술의 라이프사이클이 짧아지는 상황에서, 당시에 출현한 기술의 우수성 판단만으로는 그 기술을 기반으로 한 비즈니스 모델이 수익을 창출할 것이라고 보장할 수는 없다. 이에, Timmers 모델, Julta 등의 비즈니스 모델, Rappa 모델, 전자상거래 수익모델, B2E 모델과 제휴, 제휴(Affiliated) B2E 비즈니스 프레임에 대한 모델을 분석한 후, 이들 모델의 장단점을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 기술평가와 비즈니스 모델간 관련성에 대한 분석을 한 후, 모바일 솔루션 기업들이 시장에서 성공하기 위한 Comraded B2E 비즈니스 모델을 도출하고자 한다.

딥러닝이 적용된 게임 밸런스에 관한 연구 게임 기획 방법론의 관점으로 (Game Elements Balancing using Deep Learning in Artificial Neural Network)

  • 게임플레이어는 게임에서 수많은 적들을 만나고 싸우게 되는데, 이 때 너무나 손쉽게 이기거나 진다면 게임의 재미는 반감될 것이다. 그 반대로 너무 어렵게 이긴다거나 지는 것도 게임을 지루하게 만드는 요인으로 작용한다. 따라서 상대방과의 전투나 경쟁에서 아슬아슬하게 승리하는 긴장감을 주기 위해서는 게임의 밸런스가 잘 맞아야 한다. 그만큼 게임 밸런싱 작업은 게임의 재미와 가장 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 요소로 작용한다. 그리고 게임 밸런스만큼 중요한 것이 있는데, 그것은 플레이어에게 적절한 난이도의 상대를 계속 만나게 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하려는 방법으로써 게임 밸런스에 딥러닝을 적용하여 지능 캐릭터가 플레이어를 통해 학습하고 스스로 플레이어의 난이도에 따라 자신의 난이도를 조절할 수 있도록 고안하였다. 이것이 활성화되면 게임 기획자나 개발자에게는 그만큼의 비용을 절약하는 동시에 플레이어에게는 항상 흥미로운 상대를 제공할 수 있는 획기적인 방법이 될 것이다.

제품-서비스 시스템 개발을 위한 객체 지향 설계 프레임워크 개발 (An Object-Oriented Design Framework for Developing Product-Service Systems)

  • Trends of integrating products and services lead to the emergence of Product-Service System (PSS). To implement and embody a PSS solution in new product development, a comprehensive design framework is allowed designers to facilitate the design factors of the PSS in complex business environments. A physical product, containing functionalities for services, is the role of medium between customers and a manufactures. Customers can access those metaphysical interfaces to utilize the product fully or expand its performances. The PSS is aiming to prolong its lifecycle while maintaining its expected quality. Since the quality can be represented as a measure which belongs to user's perspective, guaranteeing certain level of quality can be interpreted to sustaining customer satisfaction. The objective of this paper is to propose a PSS design framework to identify design factors for developing products and services by integrating object-oriented concepts and blueprinting in context of a business ecosystem. The proposed model is developed based on relationship products and services matching with their design factors. The products and the services are then brought together to form a PSS. Functions and processes can be categorized to identify the design factors in different levels using the object-oriented concepts. Objected-oriented concepts provide PSS analysis tools for describing a business process or a workflow process in the PSS. The blueprint is used to identify the relationships between the products functions and the service processes that are offered as part of a job. To demonstrate of the effectiveness of the proposed model, we use a case study involving a smart phone.

직관적퍼지 DEMATEL&ISM법 기반 선박의 전주기를 고려한 선박관리산업의 경쟁력 강화 원인요인 도출 (Extraction of Cause Factors to Enhance the Competition of Ship Management Industry Considering Ship's Lifecycle based an Intuitionistic Fuzzy DEMATEL&ISM)

  • 최근 부산시는 선박관리산업의 관심을 증대시키고, 경쟁력을 강화 및 지원하기 위한 조례를 제정하였다. 본 연구는 직관적퍼지 DEMATEL&ISM법을 이용하여 선박관리산업 경쟁력 강화의 원인요인을 도출하는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 선박관리산업발전법에 명시된 내용을 기반으로 8개의 요인을 추출한다. 두번째는 직관적 퍼지수를 표준퍼지수를 이용하여 크리습 수로 변환한다. 세번째는 DEMATEL법을 이용하여 영향관계를 분석하고 ISM법을 이용하여 요인에 대해 우선순위를 결정한다. 영향관계 분석결과 원인요인은 기술적 선박관리 역량 제고, 육상관리인력 전문성 제고, 한국선원인력 자질향상으로 나타났다. ISM법에 의한 우선순위는 한국선원 자질향상, 육상관리인력 전문성 제고, 기술적 선박관리 역량제고, 상업적 선박관리 역량 제고, 종합정보시스템구축 = 선원 근로조건 및 고용환경 개선 = 금융 등 지원 = 외국인 선원 공급 강화 등의 순으로 나타났다. 따라서 전체 영역에서 원인요인이며 우선순위가 높은 상위 3개의 요인에 대해 우선적인 정책추진이 필요하다.
