  • This paper presents a procedure for the time-scale separation and a design method for the sub-optimal composite regulator and Kalman filter of the large-scale discrete stochastic system with two time-scale properties. Provided that the fast sub-system is asymptotically stable, the reduced-order regulator and Kalman filter for the slow sub-system with dominant modes is designed as a sub-optimal regulator for the system.

  • $Fr{\ddot{a}}nkel$ functional regulator have a complicated design and are of a big bulk. This makes not only the construction of appliance but also the adaption of a patient to the appliance very difficult. Therefore, orthodontic laboratory technicians should be well acquainted with the sequential fabrication procedures involved in the construction of Frankel functional regulators and construct a type most suitable for a specific patient of malocclusion. There are various types of Frankel appliances. Detailed construction procedures of FR II are described here below, which can also be applied for other types for FR appliances.

  • A fuzzy regulator for the plant which is composed of CD motor and heavy load is investigated. To have good load regulation and set-point tracking performance, a velocity formed fuzzy control plus linear filter algorithm is proposed. Also a meaning reduction methodfor large inpur whichhas nocontrol rule is presented. Lastly, the performancef of linear PID regulator and fuzzycontroller is compared in terms of response time, overshoot, settling time and control power.

  • The output voltage of UPS must not vary according to the load variation But the output voltage varies due to the load variation when a PI voltage regulator is used which has inherently a static state error. This paper presents a static-error-free digital PID voltage regulator for an UPS inverter to overcome additionally the voltage unbalance problem in three Phase system as well as the above problem.

  • 본 연구에서는 플라즈마 기본 변수인 전자밀도, 전자온도, 그리고 이온 유량을 제어하는 조정기를 설계하였다. 플라즈마 증착장비를 이용하여 상온에서 SiN 박막을 증착하는 과정에서 in-situ 센서인 Wise Probe를 이용하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 플라즈마 확인 (Identification) 모델을 개발하고, 이를 이용하여 Linear Quadratic Regulator를 설계하였다. Noise와 Disturbance에 대한 응답특성을 고찰하였으며, 설계된 Regulator는 비교적 안정된 반응을 보였다.

  • In this paper a new indirect robust self-tuning regulator is proposed including an inverse system of a plant and a robust compensator such that it achieves the desired frequency shape specified by solving the mixed H$\infty$ sensitivity problem within a prescribed tolerance in the H$\infty$ norm. Consequently, in the proposed self-tuning regulator, robust stability is guaranteed in spite of the identification error.

  • This paper describes a three-phase step-down AC voltage regulator using AC chopper and auxiliary transformer which is series connected with main input. It has many advantages such as fast voltage control, high efficiency and low THD. The operation principle and PWM method of the proposed regulator are described. Experimental results show that it can be used as step-down AC voltage regulator for power saving purpose very efficiently.

  • While the standard linear-quadratic-Gaussian problem has fixed horizons, this paper considers the LQG problem with moving horizons. By the separation principle the solution will be given by the kalman filter with the approaching horizon and the LQ regulator with the receding horizon. Sufficient conditions on weighting matrices are derived under which the filter and regulator are asymptotically stable. It wall be shown that the computation method of the moving-horizon LQG regulators is better than that of the standard LQG regulator. The performance measure between the two optimal controls will be compared. A simulation result is given in order to show the usefulness of the moving-horizon LQG regulator.s

  • In this paper, the design of high current and high performance Regulatior IC using BCD Technology are presented. We design the 5A class regulator IC including the VDMOS Pass Tr. of N-sink array structure. Also, to obtain the high current and low power characteristics, the PMOS and BJT device are adapted for the Pass Tr. It is shown that simulation results of Regulator IC with VDMOS Pass Tr. have the Iout=4.5092A, LDO=7.3mV.

  • In this paper, we propose a robust indirect adaptive fuzzy state feedback regulator based on Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model. The proposed adaptive fuzzy regulator is less sensitive to singularity than the conventional one based on the feedback linearization method. Furthermore, the proposed control method is applicable to not only plants with a perfect model but also plants with an imperfect model, which causes uncertainties. We verify the global stability of the proposed method by using Lyapunov method. In order to support the achievement, the application of the proposed adaptive fuzzy regulator to the control of a nonlinear system under the external disturbance is presented and the performance was verified by some simulation result.
