  • Purpose: As the untact culture has spread due to the recent COVID-19, the service industry as well as the beauty salon is shrinking. In order to overcome such a crisis in beauty salons, the lower dimension of beauty salon service quality is divided into servicescape, technical service, and employee service, and actions are taken with the 'perceived value of the customer' as a parameter. In this study, S-O-R(Stimulus-Organism-Response) theory was applied for customer-centered analysis, and gender and regularity were selected as moderator variables to add practical implications. Research design, data, and methodology: All constructs were measured using items developed and used in the previous study. A total of 261 questionnaires were collected online using NaverForm. The data were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation analysis, and measurement model analysis with SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0. After testing the research model and hypothesis for the entire group, a multi-group analysis was conducted by dividing into male and female groups, regular customers, and non-regular customers. Results: First, this study showed that the service environment of beauty salon customers had a negative (-) effect on perceived utilitarian value, and the technical service and perceived hedonic value had a positive (+) effect on the customer's behavioral intention. Technical service and employee service had a positive (+) effect on perceived hedonic value, but perceived hedonic value did not affect customer's behavioral intention. Second, there is no statistically significant difference in each path between male and female groups. Third, there was a statistically significant difference between regular customers and non-regular customers, only the path that the servicescape influences the perceived hedonic value. Conclusion: According to the results of this study, technical service and utilitarian value should be considered in order to induce behavioral intention of customers, and technical service quality should be considered first. Also, operating a beauty salon requires a differentiated approach to the salon servicescape according to the ratio of non-regular and regular customers. The beauty salon servicescape generally showed negative practical value for non-regular customers, but positive for the Hedinic value for servicescape such as comfortable service and clean interior for regular customers.

In particular, the focus was on the differences of the causal effect between PB(Private Banking) customers and regular customers. For this study, two groups were surveyed and 428 valid questionnaires were analyzed. The hypothesis was tested with a structural equation model using AMOS 23.0. As a result, empathy, reliability and tangibles of bank service quality had a positive(+) effect on customer satisfaction. However, responsiveness and assurance were not statistically significant. On the other hand, customer satisfaction has a positive effect on recommendation intention. This study was conducted to compare the two groups, PB customers and regular customers, and found a significant difference. In the PB customers group, tangibles had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, but no other factors were supported. On the other hand, in the regular customers group, empathy and reliability had a positive effect on customer satisfaction while responsiveness, assurance, and tangibles were not supported. Customer satisfaction were analyzed to have a positive influence on recommendation intention in both groups. These findings are academically significant by applying the SERVQUAL factors to banking services and revealing the differences between the PB customers and regular customers. In practice, it is meaningful in that it provided banks with the insights needed for future segmentation and management of customer groups.

  • Many franchise stores are in the surrounding. These stores offer many membership services. But, small traders do not provide much customer management service. For example, non-franchised cafes provide the services through paper coupons. However, most of paper coupons are available only in one store that issued the coupon. Besides, these coupons are in stamp format. Due to the absence of customers' management service, it is hard for small traders to attract customers compared to the franchise. Therefore, in this paper, We had implemented a mobile application, and applied to new customer management service in order to increase the price competitiveness of small traders. • This examination was conducted as follows; 189 copies were coated in total, and demonstratively analyzed by SPSS WIN 15.0 program. The methods used in data for this analysis are as follows; Sensitivity, Reliability, Frequency, Internal consistency, One way ANOVA(Scheffe's examination) Analysis, T-test, etc. The findings of this study are as follows; firstly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of Italian restaurants regarded convenient transportation, property of space, property of pastoral, visibility, and accessibility as importance. This means that Italian restaurant marketers should consider some of factors of location for business with a good view, good parking lot, location at main street, smooth flow of traffic, luxury, atmosphere of freedom, clean area around restaurants, elegant interior of the building, comfortable, luxurious, and deluxe atmosphere, and so on. Secondly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of buffet restaurant either considered the same factors as the Italian restaurants above or regarded those factors less important. This suggests that restaurants should be located on main streets, on trunk roads, and in large-scale residential districts of apartment complex. Thirdly, it was revealed that respondents who were regular customers of traditional restaurants did not consider the locational factors above. This shows that traditional restaurants should be located in nearby customers' houses or their working places, and that marketers should consider focusing on their restaurants' homelike atmosphere, cleanliness, food flavors, and so on.

  • Customer satisfaction in retail stores are considerably affected by checkout services. Self-checkout counters have been installed in order to reduce waiting times at checkout in retail stores. However, it is uncertain whether the self-checkout lanes actually decrease the average waiting time of customers. Rather, there are some problems associated with self-checkout lanes such as theft or service failure due to technological problems. This study analyzes comparison between self-checkout and regular staffed-checkout lanes, based on the dataset collected from a retail store in Poland. As a result, we observe that the average transaction times were longer at the self-checkout lanes though fewer products were purchased than at the staffed-checkout lanes. In addition, the customers who buy more products tend to use self-checkouts less frequently. We also check that transaction times are proportional to the number of products customers purchase, and that both the time to scan one item and the fixed time related to checkout are significantly longer at the self-checkout counters. As there has been very few research on the effectiveness of self-checkouts, this study can be the first step to investigate managerial insights on checkout services in retail stores.

  • We can build regular relationships with customers by integrating SNS (Social Networking Service) and internet shopping mall functions. For example of direct dealing of agricultural products, consumers can find news of regular sellers (seeding, farming, harvesting and new products) in the timeline at their SNS home. Then, they can purchase the necessary products by one click motion. The sellers provide news and discount information for building regular customers. Besides these SNS personal connection building, our system provides shopping mall functions to consumer's SNS home pages with auto classified catalog of products. Then, consumes easily find necessary products and these purchase may lead to regular relationships with sellers. Consumers may redistribute recommendations and reviews and it enables direct communications between consumers who are unknown to each other.
