탈산 팜유의 저장조건이 그의 고온 탈색도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Storage Condition of the Refined Palm Oil on its Heat Bleachability)

  • 식용유 정제 공장에서의 실제적인 조건 하에서 저장된 말레이시아산 탈산팜유(refined palm oil)의 연속식 고온 탈색 공정(continuous heat bleaching process)의 가능성을 알아 보기 위하여 일련의 실험을 하였다. 그 결과를 보면, 5개월간의 저장 기간 중 종종 시료(試料) 채취(採取) 시(時)를 제하고는 계속해서 고체상으로 stainless steel 저장 탱크에 저장한 경우, 연속식으로 고온 탈색 후 산성 백토에 의한 탈색과 탈취 공정을 거친 최종 팜유는 탈색 및 탈취만을 거치는 재래식 공정에 의해서 얻은 최종 팜유 보다 붉은 색이 훨씬 감소되었고, Lovibond color로 각각 1.3 red와 2.6 red 이었다. 한편 5개월간의 저장 기간 중, 질소 가스 존재 하에 carbon steel 저장 탱크에서 $38{\sim}60^{\circ}C$의 온도하에서 액체상으로 저장한 경우, 고온 탈색 공정을 거친 최종 팜유와 재래식 공정을 거친 최종 팜유의 붉은 색은 Lovibond color로 각각 2.7 red와 2.8 red이었으며, 고온 탈색 공정이 탈색에 별 도움이 되지 못하였다. 그 이유는 주로 저장 기간 중 저장 탱크에서 비교적 높은 온도 때문에 용해된 철분 (6.53 ppm)과 고온에 의한 열화 헌상 때물인 것으로 판단되었다. 과산화 값, 아니시딘 값 등의 산화 값(oxidation value)은 고온 탈색도(heat bleachability)와 상관 관계가 없었고 트랜스 이성체 생성에 영향이 없었으나 중합물 생성에는 약간의 영향이 있었다.

고추씨 기름의 지질성분에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Lipid Components of Red Pepper Seed oil)

  • This studies were conducted to find out the possibility of utilizing red pepper seed as resources of food fats, the research method was designed to make a comparison between crude and refined oil, and the results of the studies are as follows : The red pepper seed contained 28% of crude fat and 21% of crude protein. The main fatty acids of red pepper seed oil were linoleic acid(72.10~72.31%), palmitic acid(12.81~13.28%) and oleic acid(9.47~10.48%). The linolenic acid content was so small that is will not influence the autoxidation of the red pepper seed oil. The major triglyceride type of crude and refined oil of red pepper seeds were C52 and C54. The other types were found in a small quantity. The sterol composition of crude oil was $\beta$-sitosterol, campasterol, stigmasteral and brassicasterol,in the quantity order. after refining, brassicasterol was not detected, and the content was decreased by one six and one eight. The toropherol composition of crude and refined oil, tocopherol analog was composed of three kinds $\alpha$-, ${\gamma}$-, $\delta$-, but no $\beta$-form. the quantity of ${\gamma}$-, $\alpha$- and $\delta$-tocopherol were 162.91, 83.72, 43.98mg% respectively. The Quantity of and capsaicin in crude oil was 1,296 ppm, and it was reduced consicerably by refining and removed completely after the process of redeodorization.

국내외 폐윤활유의 재활용기술 현황 및 재활용 촉진대책 조사분석 (Recycling Technologies of Waste Lubricating Oils and Their Promotion Policies in Korea and Foreign Countries)

  • 폐윤활유는 세멘트 킬른과 화력발전소의 직접 연료로 사용하여 에너지원으로 재활용하거나 정제 과정을 거쳐 연료유 또는 재생 윤활기유로 재활용 되고 있다. 우리나라는 주로 이온처리 공정을 활용하여 폐윤활유를 저급 연료유로 재활용하고 있고 2003년도 예치금제에서 생산자 책임재활용제도를 도입하여 폐윤활유의 재활용을 촉진하고 있다. 그러나 지난 5년간 재활용율은 70% 이내로 정체되고 있고 아직까지 선진국에서 추구하고 있는 재생 윤활기유로의 재활용기술 개발연구도 전혀 없는 실정이다. 이에 비하여 일부 선진 국가에서는 근래에 폐윤활유의 열분해 생성유 중의 타르 및 악취의 발생을 대폭 감소시키고 색도를 향상시켜 고급연료유를 생산하는 안정화 기술과 폐윤활유로부터 고급 재생 윤활기유를 생산하는 새로운 공정을 개발하여 상용화하였다. 또한 호주, 이태리, 독일, 미국 등 몇몇 국가에서는 폐윤활유를 재생윤활기유로 재활용하였을 경우 훨씬 많은 보조금을 지급하거나 국가나 지방 정부에서 재생 윤활유를 우선적으로 구매하도록 하고 소비자로 하여금 재생 윤활유를 사용하도록 권장하는 정책을 채택하고 있다. 이렇게 선진국에서는 점차적으로 고갈되는 석유자원의 절약과 환경오염을 저감시키는 폐윤활유를 윤활기유로 재활용하는 정책을 채택하고 있어 우리나라에서도 지속가능한 개발을 위한 새로운 윤활유 재활용정책을 수립하여야할 시점에 있다고 판단된다.

정제들깨기름의 산화안정성에 미치는 흑미 추출물의 영향 (Effect for Oxidation Stability of Refined Perilla Oil Use in Extract of Black Rice (Oryza sativa L.))

  • Proximate compositions of black rice and antioxidative effects of its methanol extract on refined perilla oil were investigated. Black rice seeds were composed of water 12.4%, crude protein 7.9%, crude fat 2.2%, crude fiber 1.0%, ash 1.4% and N-free extract 75.1%. The hexane and 80% methanol fractions in yields were higher than 80% ethanol and chloroform. In AOM(active oxygen method) test, antioxidative effects of black rice added to the refined perilla oil was increased with dose-dependent fashion in concentration of the black rice extracts. Among several extracts tested, 80% aqueous methanol extract showed the highest antioxidative activity, followed by hexane, chloroform, in that order. The peroxide value and TBA value for their antioxidation stability were also lower than that of control. This result was similar to that of AOM test.

Study of Dielectric Properties of a Potential RBD Palm Oil and RBD Soybean Oil Mixture as Insulating Liquid in Transformer

  • This paper reported the experimental result of dielectric properties of Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO) combined with 0-50% of Refined, Bleached and Deodorized Soybean Oil (RBDSO). The dielectric strength and relative permittivity of RBDPO/RBDSO was higher compared to mineral oil at all ranges of ratios and temperatures which indicated a positive sign for its possible use as insulating liquid in a transformer. All ratios of the RBDPO/RBDSO mixture also demonstrated lower dissipation factor compared to mineral oil at 40℃, 70℃ and 90℃. Apart from that, the kinematic viscosity for the oil mixtures shown exceeded the IEC 60296 as well as the mineral oil results. 70%RBDPO/30%RBDSO mixture ratio was chosen as the best mixing percentage after comparison was made with the mineral oil and IEC 60296 standard where the mixture accumulated the most satisfactory of dielectric properties hence making it as the potential candidate for palm and soybean-based transformer oil.

  • As a previous research, improved durability of concrete by filling capillary pores with waste cooking oil was suggested as a method of controlling carbonation of the concrete replaced high volume of SCMs. on the other hand, the emulsified refined waste cooking oil for better mixing performance had a drawback of reducing air content related with decreasing freeze-thawing resistance. As a solution of this problem, surface applying method was suggested instead of adding in mixing process, and in this research, the performance regarding concrete durability are evaluated comparing emulsified refined cooking oil with water-repelling agent.

  • As a part of the studies on effective utilization of polyunsaturated lipids in sardine (Sardinops melanosticta) when the refined sardine oil was added to surimi-based product as a dietary supplement of biologically active fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic aicd and docosahexaenoic acid, storage stability and the effect to the qualify of the product was tested. Addition of the refined sardine oil up to $5\%$ to surimi did not affect the textural properties of the product. And the polyunsaturated fatty acids of the sardine oil was fairly stabilized when it stored for 1 month at room temperature and 43 days at $5^{\circ}C$. These results suggested the possibility that the refined sardine oil or other fish oils containing highly polyunsaturated fatty acids, especially EPA and DHA could be used as a food ingredient for dietary supply of the lipids.

  • EPA 및 DHA 함량이 높으면서 폐기되고 있는 말쥐치 내장유의 효율적인 이용을 위하여 정제한 말쥐치내장유를 정어리 및 명태고기풀에 각각 첨가하여 어묵의 품질개선을 시도하였고 아울러 저장중 품질안정성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 고도불포화지방산을 다량함유하고 있는 말쥐치내장유의 첨가로 인해 어묵의 지질은 고기풀의 지질에 비하여 5~6% 증가하여 지질산패가 우려되나, 대두단백, 물 및 말쥐치내장유로 유화커어드 (emulsion curd)를 만들어 고기풀에 첨가함으로 인해 산소와의 접촉 기회를 줄이면서 항산화제인 sodium erythorbate를 첨가하고 저온으로 저장하기 때문에 대두유로 만든 어묵과 비교하여 지질산패도는 높지 않았다. 뿐만 아니라 말쥐치 내장유를 첨가한 어묵의 조직감은 첨가하지 않은 어묵에 비하여 개선되었고 또한 저장중에도 안정하였다. 이상의 결과로 볼 때 고도불포화지방산이 다량 함유되어 영양학 및 생리학적 기능이 우수하면서 튀김유 등으로 소비가 곤란한 정제 말쥐치내장유를 저온저장 식품인 어묵, 어육소시지 등에 일정량 첨가하여 제조한 후 일상식으로 섭취한다면 폐기되는 말쥐 내장의 효율적인 이용과 동시에 국민보건 향상에도 기여하리라 판단된다.

Investigation on the Dielectric, Physical and Chemical Properties of Palm Oil and Coconut Oil under Open Thermal Ageing Condition

  • In this paper, a study is carried out to investigate the dielectric, physical and chemical properties of Palm Oil (PO) and Coconut Oil (CO) under open thermal ageing condition. The type of PO used in this study is Refined Bleached and Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO) Olein. The ageing experiment was carried out at 85 ℃ and 115 ℃ for 1, 3, 5, 7 and 14 days. Several parameters were measured such as AC breakdown voltage, dielectric dissipation factor, relative permittivity, resistivity, viscosity, moisture and acidity throughout the ageing duration. Based on the study, it is found that there are no significant changes on the AC breakdown voltages and relative permittivities for both RBDPO and CO. At ageing temperature of 115℃, there are clear reduction trends of dielectric dissipation factor for CO and resistivities for most of RBDPO. On the other hand, no clear trends are observed for viscosities, moisture and acidities of RBDPO and CO throughout the ageing duration.

솔잎 추출물의 티로시나아제 활성억제 효과 및 분석 (Tyrosinase Activated Inhibition Effect & Analysis of Pine-Needles Extract)

  • We extracted pine-needles using ethanol as solvent, and we obtained the refined oil component from pine-needles extract. Also we tested the tyrosinase activated inhibition effect with melanin experiment and analysed with ICP/OES and UV/VIS. Accordingly we obtained the next conclusion from the result of this experiment. From the first result of this experiment, we could know that the degree of recovery of refined oil component from pine-needles extract appeared in about 8.0%. From the second result of this experiment, we could know that the tyrosinase activated inhibition rate increased more and more in case of increasing concentration of pine-needles, green-tea, vitamine-C. Also we could know that vitarnine-C influences to tyrosinase activated inhibition contained in pine-needles. From the third result of this experiment, we could know that inorganic materials of Ca, Mg, V, Mn, etc contained in pine-needles detected with ICP/OES analysis, and the absorbance of pine-needles extract appeared very high in UV/VIS analysis.
