  • Based on the first 2D reference map of the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe protein reported previously, we expanded and updated the map using narrower pI ranges. In this paper, 240 protein spots were identified on our reference map. In the pI 4-7 range, 144 spots corresponding to 86 different proteins were identified. In the pI 6-9 range, 43 spots corresponding to 35 different proteins were identified. Fifty-three new spots corresponding to 39 different proteins were further identified in the pI 5-6 range.

  • This study was designed to identify the information sources of reference used by male college students. Theoretical framework is based upon social comparison theory, reference group theory, and Kotler's model of personal and non-personal sources of reference. The subjects were 287 male college students. The questionnaire were distributed to the school area and the commercial area such as Shinchon, Myung-Dong, and Apkujung-Dong in Seoul. Means, standard deviation, frequency, T-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan's multiple range test were applied for the analyses of data. The result of hyporthesis 1 showed that male college student utilize personal and non-personal sources of reference indiscriminately. The result of hypothesis 2 showed that male college students consult the socially high-proximal group such as a girl friend(a lover) and mother most actively. The result of hypothesis 3 found that male college students use position media most actively, especially in-store displays, followed by print media and broadcast media.

  • Natural vibration period is an important parameter for high-rise building, Based on 414 high-rise buildings completed or passed over-limit approval in China, the distribution law of natural vibration periods is analyzied. In order to satisfy the design requirements, such as global stability, story drift limit and minimum shear-gravity ratio, the reference ranges of fundamental periods $T_1$ are $0.3{\sqrt{H}}{\sim}0.4{\sqrt{H}}$ when the structural heights $H{\geq}250m$, when 150 m ${\leq}$ H < 250m, $T_1=0.25{\sqrt{H}}{\sim}0.4{\sqrt{H}}$, when 100 m ${\leq}$ H < 150 m, $T_1=0.2{\sqrt{H}}{\sim}0.35{\sqrt{H}}$, when 50 m $ {\leq}$ H < 100m, $T_1=0.15{\sqrt{H}}{\sim}0.3{\sqrt{H}}$. These can provide reference data for controlling mass and rigidity of high-rise buildings.

  • This paper proposes a new bandgap reference (BGR) circuit which takes advantage of a cascode current mirror biasing to reduce the V$\_$ref/ variation, and sizing technique, which utilizes two related ratio numbers k and N, to reduce the PNP BJT area. The proposed BGR is designed and fabricated on a test chip with a goal to provide a reference voltage to the 10 bit A/D(4-4-4 pipeline architecture) converter of the CMOS Active Pixel Sensor (APS) imager to be used in X-ray imaging. The basic temperature variation effect on V$\_$ref/ of the BGR has a maximum delta of 6 mV over the temperature range of 25$^{\circ}C$ to 70$^{\circ}C$. To verify that the proposed BGR has radiation hardness for the X-ray imaging application, total ionization dose (TID) effect under Co-60 exposure conditions has been evaluated. The measured V$\_$ref/ variation under the radiation condition has a maximum delta of 33 mV over the range of 0 krad to 100 krad. For the given voltage, temperature, and radiation, the BGR has been satisfied well within the requirement of the target 10 bit A/D converter.

  • The purpose of this study is to present the EV range in HDRI acquisition process to create luminance map. The proposed method in this study is to capture the scene at EV ${\pm}0$ that is the longest exposure points and reference point in the scene. With this reference point, sets of 25 LDRI test case were taken manually at ${\pm}2$ EV using the aperture-priority manual mode. The 25 HDRIs were created using Adobe Photoshop. The HDRIs were then imported Radiance lighting simulation program to be analyzed into falsecolor. The analysis results of the 25 HDRIs test case are 50[%] of the all tested case have a margin of error of 10[%]. In case of f/5.6, the luminance map generated with HDRI were similar to the spot luminance meter. As a result, the EV range to reduce error of luminance map generated with HDRI is EV $+2{\sim}{\pm}0{\sim}-10$.

  • This paper proposes a new autonomous stationkeeping system suitable for geostationary satellite and conducts computer simulation to verify the proposed algorithm. The proposed onboard system receives pseudo-range signal from ground equipments located at two different position with long baseline, determines the orbit error in realtime and generates orbit control commands. For minimized onboard stationkeeping logic and better reliability, the orbit controller is designed to generate control signal to have the orbit roughly follow predetermined reference range data which is generated through ground based computer simulation. The reference range data is assumed to be uploaded with time tag. A simple orbit controller is proposed which combines the reference $\Delta$V and feedback control signal. Finally, the performance of the proposed system is verified through the computer simulations.

  • During early pregnancy, before the development of a functioning thyroid gland, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is a very sensitive marker of thyroid dysfunction during pregnancy. Normal values have been modified during gestation with a downward shift. The fetus is influenced by the TSH supplied by the mother. TSH and free thyroxine (FT4) concentrations vary during pregnancy and conventional units can vary between laboratories. A downward shift of the TSH reference range occurs during pregnancy, with a decrease in both the lower and upper limits of maternal TSH, relative to the typical non-pregnant TSH reference range. Each laboratory produces its own reference TSH and FT4 concentrations because there are many different assays that yield different results in pregnancy. Therefore, automated immunoassays used for serum FT4 analysis are still used widely, but the important considerations discussed above must be noted. The use of population-based, trimester-specific reference ranges remains the best way to handle this issue The slight downward shift in the upper reference range of TSH occurring in the latter first trimester (7~12 weeks) of pregnancy, typically not observed prior to 7 weeks. Their use indicates high or low levels in a quantitative manner independent of the reference ranges. These data highlight the importance of calculating population-based pregnancy-specific thyroid parameter reference intervals. A precision medicine initiative in this area will require the collection and analysis of a large number of genetic, biological, psychosocial, and environmental variables in large cohorts of individuals. Large prospective randomized controlled trials will be needed to resolve these controversies.

  • This paper presents a 10 bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with a reference driver. The proposed SAR ADC consists of a capacitive digital-to-analog converter (CDAC), a comparator, a SAR logic, and a reference driver which improves the immunity to the power supply noise. The reference driver generates the reference voltages of 0.45 V and 1.35 V for the SAR ADC with an input voltage range of ${\pm}0.9V$. The SAR ADC is implemented using a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology with a 1.8-V supply. The proposed SAR ADC including the reference driver almost maintains an input voltage range to be ${\pm}0.9V$ although the variation of supply voltage is +/- 200 mV. It consumes 5.32 mW at a sampling rate of 10 MS/s. The measured ENOB, DNL, and INL of the ADC are 9.11 bit, +0.60/-0.74 LSB, and +0.69/-0.65 LSB, respectively.

  • We discuss the method of a high precision range trigger and generation for a high range resolution radar. To verify the designed range resolution performance, we use test-equipments which can absolutely make a precision range shorter than the desined range resolution. The accuracy of generated range is proportional to the system reference clock. However, the system main processor is limited to input reference clocks and a higher available one is expensive in the conventional method. To solve this problem, we proposed that the range trigger and generation method using multi-phase-shiftings and integration. Through a experiment, we verified that the proposed method made problems which can be ocurred in the conventional method clear.
