주제명은 이용자가 어린이 그림책을 효과적으로 접근하도록 지원한다. 그러나 어린이 그림책은 다른 자료에 비해 표제나 목차와 같이 자료 자체에서 주제명을 선정하기가 어렵다. 또한 텍스트 외에 그림이 주는 정보량이 큰 편이다. 따라서 그림책의 주제접근을 위해서는 별도의 주제명 목록을 작성할 필요가 있다. 그런데 어린이 그림책에 일반 도서용으로 개발된 주제명을 그대로 사용하기는 적절하지 않을 수 있다. 주제명의 유형과 수준이 상이할 수 있기 때문이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 어린이 그림책에 적합한 주제명표를 개발하고자 하였다. 기본 주제명의 선정을 위해서는 영미권에서 발행된 그림책 주제명표를 참고하였는데, 이 과정에서 우리 문화와 언어에 맞도록 기존의 표목을 수정 추가하였다. 또한 그림책의 주요 독자층인 어린이에게 적합한 표목을 선정하기 위해 초등국어사전과 같은 참고자료도 활용하였다. 그리고 시범적으로 구축된 주제명표를 어린이 그림책을 대상으로 한 권장도서 목록에 적용하여, 주제검색이나 브라우징, 도서 추천 등에 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.

소설은 학교도서관에서 학생들이 가장 많이 열람하고 대출하는 장서이다. KDC는 학생들이 원하는 다양한 소설을 찾는데 제한점을 가진다. 이에 본 연구는 도서관과 서점, 출판사 등에서 사용하고 있는 소설 분류의 다양한 사례와 중학생의 소설 이용 행태를 설문 조사하여 이용자 요구에 맞게 소설 분류 개선안을 제안하였다. KDC 기호에 더하여 소설의 장르별 색띠를 부착하여 이용자들이 손쉽게 원하는 소설을 찾을 수 있도록 하였으며 추가적인 사항은 중학생들의 소설 접근성과 발견성을 향상시키고 향후 도서관이나 서점, 출판사에서 사용하는 소설 분야 세분에 대한 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The GyoJungEuiSeoGook(校定醫書局, the bureau for revising of medical books) which was established in the 2nd year of InJong GaWoou of Song dynasty, made comparative analyzation about various kinds of publication and reference materials of all classical medical books that was published until Jin Han and Su Dang dynasty, revised the medical books like as Bozushinnongboncho(補注神農本草), Zungkwangbozuhwangjenegyungsomun(重廣補注黃帝內經素問), Shanghanlon(傷寒論), Bigupchunggumyobang (備急千金要方), Magkyung(脈經), Oedaebiyo(外臺備要), Hwangjechimgugapeulgyung(黃帝鍼灸甲乙經), Cchunggumikbang(千金翼方) etc. The signification of such revision was not only to preserve the materials which may be lost before, bibliographically and also make the books of Hwangjenegyung(黃帝內經), Shanghanlon(傷寒論) etc. become more regularly. And it made the foundation of Korean Medical research depends on the documentary records so as to make it have big development by deductive method till the beginning of modern age. The success of GyoJungEuiSeoGook(校定醫書局) indicates that the stagnation of Korean Medical research due to it's behind with the development of politics-economy, social culture and scientific technology which based on western scientific culture. So we may draw the conclusion that the success of scientific research needs to parallel with the external and internal factors of the surrounding science.

본 연구는 대학도서관에서 주제전문사서제에 의한 도서선정의 효과를 입증하기 위하여 주제전문사서제도가 도입되기 이전과 이후에 선정된 개별 도서에 대한 대출 현황을 조사하여 그 효과성의 차이를 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 조사대상이 된 S대학교 도서관에서 주제전문사서제도를 도입한 2005년 9월을 기점으로 이전과 이후 3년씩 총 6년 동안에 선정된 도서 186,435권에 대한 총 대출 현황(622,213권)을 t-test와 ANOVA를 통하여 검정하였다. 연구 결과, 첫째, 주제전문사서제의 도입 이후에는 사서에 의한 도서선정의 비율이 높아졌다. 둘째, 주제전문사서제의 도입 이전과 비교하여 도입 이후에는 교수와 사서에 의해 선정된 국외서에 대한 대출이 유의미하게 증가하였다. 셋째, 주제전문사서제의 도입 이전과 비교하여 도입 이후에는 교수가 선정한 도서에 대한 대출 횟수가 유의미하게 증가한 학문분야가 많아진 반면, 학생이 선정한 도서는 대출횟수가 유의미하게 감소한 분야가 많았다.

The author analyses the challenging activities of Japanese libraries in this decade by launching two keywords; "product-sharing" and "outcome generation." "Product-sharing" means that libraries share knowledge, skills, and records which are produced as the result of the services or in the process of activities. And "outcome generation" means that libraries generate any efficiency or effectiveness through their services to users. Using these concepts, reported are the current situation and aspects of Japanese libraries which try to make various contributions to the society; research and learning of the people, and education and training for professional librarians, and so on. In the analysis, the author shows some examples of "product-sharing" at first, including the records of reference transaction and the multi-functioned online public access catalogue. Especially, focused is on the various possibility and adoptability of the Collaborative Reference Database System of the National Diet Library of Japan. This system is one of digital reference service in Japan, and the database of reference transaction records is expected to be useful for research and academic studyies as knowledge-base of professional librarians. And the system is also expected to be a platform for LIS education and professional development in the e-learning environment. Secondly, as the examples of "outcome generation", explained are the problem-solving-type activities, and provision of the collection about books on struggling against disease and illness. A few examples of outcome in the problem-solving-type activities are these; increase of sales in the services for shop managers, business persons, and entrepreneurs, contribution to affluent daily life by providing the local information services to residents and neighbourhoods, and etc. And for both the patients with serious cases and their family or those who nurse them, books about other persons' notes or memorandum are the greatest support, and sometime healing. The author discuss the 'raison d'etre' of these activities focusing on public libraries in Japan.

본 연구는 2018년 전국도서관통계를 활용하여 공공도서관 방문자수 및 자료실이용자수에 미치는 영향요인을 log-log 중회귀모형으로 분석했다. 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 과거, '지식과 정보의 저장 및 전파'가 공공도서관의 주된 기능이던 시대에 이용자 유치에 가장 중요했을 것으로 생각되는 장서수나 좌석수 등의 요소를 넘어 현재는 문화 혹은 평생교육 프로그램, 도서관 운영, 이용자활동 등의 차원에서 매우 다양하고 복합적인 요소들이 방문자 및 자료실이용자 유인에 영향을 주고 있다. 이는 이제 도서관은 책이나 자료, 시설 등의 하드웨어적 요소보다는 문화 프로그램, 이용자 교육, 행사, 예산, 회원수, 개관시간, 건물의 스타일과 노후도, 동아리활동 등의 소프트웨어적 요소에 이끌려 찾아가는 종합문화센터가 되고 있다는 것을 뜻한다.

This study seeks to present an option for including a variety of information resources in a reference linking service system. Discussion on reference linking service in journals began in 1999 and applied to real systems, but linking to research papers and patent registers has more recently emerged. This study further suggests that system construction include various information resources such as books and dissertations. This paper also presents principles and prerequisites that should be considered essential when building such systems, including expansion of resources and media formats, development of identifiers on every sort of information resource, linking methods to existing DB, publication revolution and managing copyright-holders, use and improvement of OPACs, and building perfect authority DB.

Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine constitutes the basis of Korean orthodox medicine. In Korea it is regarded as the most influential medical work in existence and therefore been accorded first place among the medical works. Many books and reference works referred to Six Viscera and Five Bowels were quoted in Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine This dissertation is to study quoted passages and reference books related to Six Bowels and Five Viscera in Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine Based upon the medical works--Introduction to Medicine, Elementary Questions and Spiritual Pivot of Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine, Difficult Classic, Compendium of Medicine and etc.-- all but few references the quotations are clearly traced to their origin. It is hoped that this preliminary study will serve as a starting point for further work on the text, with more specific attention to the method of quotations and its many linguistic problems.
