임간초지 개발에 관한 연구 I. 임간혼파초지의 수량 및 식생 변화 (Studies on the Grassland Development in the Forest I. Botanical composition and yield of grass-clover mixtures grown under pine trees)

  • 本 試驗은 林間混播草地에서 年次間 收量 및 植生變化를 究明하고자 樹齡 10~15年의 소나무지대 (遮光程度 50%)에서 orchardgrass 위주형, tall fescue 위주형 그리고 reed canarygrass 위주형의 3가지 混播組合을 供試하여 1982~1984年에 걸쳐 水原 근교 林間地에서 수행되었으며, 이에 앞서 遮光程度0 (自然光), 50, 60%인 林間草地에서 牧草收量을 比較하였는데, 試驗의 結果를 要約하면 다음과 같다. 1 遮光程度가 0, 50, 60%로 높아짐에 따라 牧琴의 乾物收量은 100(1,113kg/10a), 81,76%로 각각 감소하였다. 2 總植生被覆度 및 牧草率은 混播組合類型에 관계없이 비슷한 경향을 보였으며, 年次에 따라 점차 감소하였다. 그러나 山野草 및 雜灌木比率은 年次에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 3 . 混播組崙類型別 牧草의 構成比率은 orchardgrass형, tall fescue형, reed canarygrass형, 共히 orchardgrass가 80% 내외로 優占되어 있었으며 tall fescue, reed canarygrass, Kentucky bluegrass 및 ladino clover의 比率은 낮았다. 4 龍播組合類型刷 年淡間 乾物收量을 보면 orchardgrass 위주형, tall fescue 위주형, reed canarygrass위주형에서 1年次의 경우 10a當 각각 895, 905, 793의 收量을 보였으며, 2年次의 경우 466, 457, 438을 보여 混播組合間 큰 差異는 없었으나 1年次에 비해 2年次에서 약 50%의 收量減少를 보여 주었다. 5. 이상의 結果를 綜合하여 볼 때 우리나라의 林間草地에 適合한 混播組合은 牧草率 및 彦性 等으로 보아 orchardgrass 위주형이, 가장 有望하며 今後 林間草地에서는 生産性을 계속 維持시켜 주는것이 중요하다고 생각된다.

고산지대 초지에서 생산된 화본과목초의 사료가치 (Forage Quality of Several Grasses Grown ay a High Altitude Pasture)

  • Forage quality evaluation with several grasses grown at a high altitude pasture situated at 1,000m above sea level was made to determine what is the feed value of these grasses and whether these grasses have any differences in forage quality compared with the grdsses grown at lowland pastures. In this experiment, Common, Venture, and Palaton reed canarygrass (Phahris arundinucea L.) and Climax timothy (Phleum pratense L.) were used and harvested at two different dates, 5 July and 30 September, 1989. Cmde protein (CP) concentrations in the grasses grown in September were higher than in July. Among the grasses grown, Palaton and Common reed canarygrass were highest in CP concentration in July and September, respectively. Acid detergent fiber (ADF) and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) concentrations in the grasses harvested in July were higher than in September. Palaton reed canruygrass was lowest in ADF and NDF concentrations at the both harvest dates. Relative feed value (RFV) in the grases harvested in July was ranged from 92 to 105 and that in September was from 110 to 117. Palation reed canarygrass had the highest RFV of 105 and 117 in July and September, respectively, therefore, the forage quality of this grass was ranked as Grade 2 based on the AFGC Hay Quality Standards. Overall forage quality of the grasses grown at a high altitude pasture seemed to be higher than the forage quality at lowland pastures. Based on the RFV assigned by the AFGC, forages with RFV 92 to 117 in this experiment could only work well in rations for low producing dairy cows.

Chitosan 용액에 의한 목초 종자의 피복효과 (Coating Effects on Grass Seeds with Chitosan Solution)

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the growth response of 3 grasses to seed coating with chitosan solution and the attempt was made to estimate adequate seed coating concentrations of chitosan solution in each grass for the growth to be stimulated. Three species used in this experiment were orchardgrass, tall fescue and reed canarygrass. Six different seed coating concentrations of chitosan solution were applied as 0%(control), 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.1% and 1.0%, respectively. the results were obtained as follows; 1. Dry weight of tiller(WT), leaf area(LA), dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of stem(SW), dry weight of shoot(SHW), biological yield(BY) and C/F ratio were significantly different between species. 2. Number of tillers per plant(NT), dry weight of tiller(WT), dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of root(RW), dry weight of shoot(SHW), biological yield(BY) and T/R ration were significantly different between seed coating concentrations of chitosan solution. 3. The adequate seed coating concentrations of chitosan solution for the growth stimulating effect were different between species. The highest values of yield components and dry weight of plant parts were obtained at 1% in orchardgrass and tall fescue, and 0.05% in reed canarygrass, respectively. 4. Growth stimulating effect of seed coating in each species were different. The highest values were obtained in leaf area(LA), dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of root(RW), dry weight of shoot(SHW) and dry weight of biological yield(BY) in orchardgrass. The values of dry weight of stem(SW) and C/F ration were highest in reed canarygrass. 5. An increase in number of tillers per plant(NT), dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of stem(SW) and dry weight of root(RW) according to seed coating was attributed to the increase in dry weight of shoot(SHW). Among the aboved increasing factors, the dry weight of leaf(LW) was a main factor for the increase in dry weight of shoot(SHW). 6. An increase in dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of stem(SW) and dry weight of root(RW) according to seed coating was attributed to the increase in biological yield(BY). Both the dry weight of leaf(LW) and dry weight of root(RW) were main factors for the increase in biological yield(BY).

식물뿌리에 의한 인발력 증가에 관한 연구 (A Study of Pull-out strength increasement by root of grasses)

  • 본 연구에서는 매트형 식생호안공법에 이용되는 물억새, 사초, 갈대의 성장기간의 경과에 따른 인발력 증가에 대하여 실험하고, 뿌리의 무게와 인발력의 관계를 도출하기 위한 현장 실험을 시행하였다. 흙의 전단력은 임의단면에서의 뿌리 단면적과 인발력의 함수로 나타낼 수 있으므로 인발력 측정은 흙의 전단력 측정을 위한 기초자료로 이용될 수 있다. 현장실험결과 3가지 초종 모두 시간의 경과에 따라 뿌리 무게가 증가하고, 그에 따른 인발력도 증가하였으나, 초종별 특성에는 차이를 보이며, 이는 물억새, 사초의 성장, 번식특성과 갈대의 성장, 번식이 다르기 때문으로 판단된다. 갈대는 두 식물에 비하여 지하경에 의한 번식이 활발하며, 번식을 위하여 지하경이 증가하고, 그에 따라 뿌리 무게, 인발력이 비례하여 증가한다.

Potential of Activated Carbon Derived from Local Common Reed in the Refining of Raw Cane Sugar

  • Common reed (Fragmites australis), a local invasive grass, was investigated as a possible feedstock for the production of activated carbon. Dried crushed stems were subjected to impregnation with phosphoric acid (30, 40 and 50%) followed by pyrolysis at $400{\sim}500^{\circ}C$ with final washing and drying. Obtained carbons were characterized by determining: carbon yield, ash content, slurry pH, textural properties and capacity to remove color bodies from factory-grade sugar liquor. Produced carbons possessed surface area up to 700 $m^2/g$, total pore volumes up to 0.37 $cm^3/g$, and proved to be microporous in nature. Decolorization of hot sugar liquor at $80^{\circ}C$ showed degrees of color removal of 60 up to 77% from initial color of 1100~1300 ICU, at a carbon dose of 1.0 g/100 ml liquor. No correlation seems to hold between synthesis conditions and % R but depends on the degree of microporosity. A commercial activated carbon N showed a comparative better color removal capacity of 91%. Common reed proved to be a viable carbon precursor for production of good adsorbing carbon suitable for decolorization in the sugar industry, as well as in other environmental remediation processes.

Chitosan 혼합토양에 대한 목초의 생육반응 (Growth Response of Grasses to Chitosan Solution Amended Soil)

  • In order to investigate the growth response of grasses to chitosan solution amended soil were studied from the standpoint of estimating the growth stimulating adequate concentrations of chitosan solution amended soil in each grass. Three species in this experiment used were orchardgrass, tall fescue and reed canarygrass. Six different concentrations of chitosan solution amended soil were 0%(control), 0.01%, 0.05%, 0.1%, 0.5% and 1.0%, respectively. The resulte obtained were as follows ; 1. Leaf area(LA), dry weight of leaf(LW), dry weight of shoot(SHW), biological yield(BY), C/f ratio and T/R ratio were significantly different between species. 2. Growth stimulating effect by chitosan solution amended soil were found in plant length(PL) and T/R ratios of grasses. 3. Adequate concentrations of chitosan solution amended soil were different between species. The highest values of yield components and dry weight of plant parts were obtained at 0.01% in orchardgrass, 0,05% in reed canarygrass and 1.0% in tall fescue, respectively. 4. The growth response of grasses to chitosan solution amended soil were different between species. Thus, an increase in leaf area(LA) and dry weight of leaf(LW) by chitosan solution amended soil was mainly contributed to increase in dry weight of shoot(SHW) and biological yield(BY) in orchardgrass. Chitosan solution amended soil also stimulated growth of shoot and increased in biological yield(BY) in tall fescue. In reed canarygrass contributed to increase in C/F ratios. 5. Adequate concentrations of chitosan solution amended soil for an economical benefit of cultivation and dry matter production of grasses were ranged from 0.01% to 0.05% levels.

갈대의 생산력에 관한 연구 III. 예취시기가 갈대의 재생 및 사료성분에 미치는 영향 (Studies on the Productivity of Native Reed ( Phragmites communis Trinius ) III. Effect of cutting time on the regrowth and Feed composition of native reed)

  • 본(本) 시험(試驗)은 고랭지(高冷地) Timothy 우점초지에서 목초(牧草)의 적정(適正) 예취회수(刈取回數)와 최종(最終) 예취시기(刈取時期)를 구명(究明)하고자 DM 생산량(生産量), 월동후(越冬後) 초기생육특성(初期生育特性), 다음해 1차수량(次收量) 조단백질(粗蛋白質) 및 조섬유(粗纖維) 생산량(生産量)을 조사(調査)하고 그들간(間)의 상관관계(相關關係)를 분석(分析)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 초기생육(初期生育)이 개시(開始)되는 시기(時期)는 예취회수(刈取回數)가 증가(增加)함에 따라 빨라지는 경향(傾向)이었으나 유의차(有意差)가 없었으며 최종예취일(最終刈取日)에 따른 영향은 일정하지 않았다. 2. 예취회수(刈取回數)가 증가(增加)함에 따라 건물생산량(乾物生産量)은 감소하였으나 최종예취일(最終刈取日)에 따른 차이(差異)는 없었다. 3. 월동후 1 차수량(次收量)은 예취회수(刈取回數)에 따라 현저히 감소하였으나 최종예취일(最終刈取日)에 따른 차이(差異)는 뚜렷하지 않았다. 4. 조단백질(粗蛋白質) 생산량(生産量)은 예취회수(刈取回數)가 증가(增加)할수록 많아졌으나 건물율(乾物率)은 낮아지는 경향이었고 조섬유(粗纖維) 생산량(生産量)은 일정하지 않았다. 5. 건물수량(乾物收量)과 건물율(乾物率)($\gamma=0.78$) 및 다음해 1차수량(次收量)($\gamma=0.82$)간(間)과 건물율(乾物率)과 다음해 1차수량(次收量)($\gamma=0.83$)간(間)에는 정(正)의 상관(相關)이 있었고(p<0.01), 조단백질(粗蛋白質) 생산량(生産量)과 건물율(乾物率)($\gamma=-0.67$) 및 다음해 1차수량(次收量)($\gamma=-0.68$)간(間)에는 부(負)의 상관(相關)이었다(p<0.01). 6. 이상(以上)의 결과(結果)를 종합(綜合)해 볼 때 건물생산(乾物生産)에 있어서는 년간(年間) 예취회수(刈取回數)는 3회(回)호 하고 최종예취일(最終刈取日)은 9월(月) 30일(日)로 하는 것이 적당(適當)하다고 생각되며 조단백질(粗蛋白質) 수량(收量)을 고려한다면 4회(回) 예취(刈取)에 최종예취일(最終刈取日)은 9월(月) 30일(日)로 하는 것이 좋다고 사료(思料)된다.

비점오염저감을 위한 수변완충지대의 적정 설계 (Best Buffer Width of Riparian Buffer Zone using a Pilot with Different Plant Species for Reduction of Non-point Pollutant Loading)

  • Non-point pollution is caused by many diffusive sources, unlike a point pollution derived from industrial wastewater treatment plants or sewage treatment plants. Runoff of non-point pollutants is originated from rainfall or thawing in short period of time moving over and through the a ground surface. They cause ill effect on the quality of neighboring aquatic environment. To prevent effectively the wash off from non-point pollutant, it should be immediately reduced at the source or be treated after gathering of runoff water. This study has been carried out for the best width of riparian buffer zone. So we implemented the experiment in terms of its depth, width and kind of vegetations and calculated the reduction of pollutants loading. The experimental zone encompasses the watershed of Namhan River (Kyunggido Yangpyunggun Byungsanri). The region was divided into 5 land cover sectors : grass, reed, pussy willow, mixed(grass+pussy willow) and natural zone to compare effectiveness of vegetation. Water samples from four points have been collected in different depths. And the pollutant removal efficiency by sectors with different plant species was yielded through influent with one of each sample. And we obtained the correlation between the width of riparian buffer zone and the removal efficiency of pollutants. Using correlation result, the width of riparian buffer zones which needs to improve the water quality of river could be derived.

도농통합형 도시에 있어서 생물서식처 공간특성에 관한 연구(I) - 천안시 성환읍 매주리지역을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Biotope's Characters of the Mixed Rural City(I) - In the case of Maejuri area in Sunghwan eup, Chonan city -)

  • This study was aimed to establish the method and process of the Biotope Mapping System.(B.M.S.) The main aspects of research for biotope were divided by 4 schemes such as biosphere, geosphere, antroposphere and evaluation informations. The cartographic function of GIS(geographic information system) was also used to mapping them. The B.M.S. had been progressed with 5 steps : (1) making research goals, (2) constructing the graphic and attribute databases, (3) classifying 3 types of biotope such as tree/shrub biotop, grass biotop and wetland biotop. (4) cross-analyzing biotope types against land use, habitat characters, relief characters and danger/disturbance elements, (5) evaluating the biotope's potentialities. Only 3 steps of them were done in this study. The results of applicating the B.M.S on the research site as followings : 1. The interdisciplinary researches were needed to develop the B.M.S in Korea since ecological habitat conditions of Germany, England are differed from them of Korea. 2. The distributions of the land uses in Maejuri, Seunghwan eup in Chonan city were mainly recorded by forest(29.82%), orchard(14.11%) and landscaping around building site(9.05%). 3. The percentages of the Tree/Shrub Biotope type were ranged by the orchard type(23.8%), natural and artificial deciduous type with natural coniferous(23.6%) and etc. 4. The Grass Biotope type was mainly recorded by the wild grassland type(27.99%), garden type(14.21%) and peddy field with wild grassland(13.24%). 5. The distributions of the wetland were pointed high at the wetland type with reed marsh and edge vegetation around wetland(54.79%) and etc.

간척지(干拓地) 초지조성(草地造成)을 위(爲)한 도입호주품종(導入濠洲品種)의 적응성(適應性) 조사(調査)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (제(第)1보(報)) (Studies on the Adatability of Introduced Species from Australia for Grassland Establishment on Saline Land(Part I))

  • 이 시험(試驗)은 간척지(干拓地) 초지조성(草地造成)을 위(爲)해서 내염성(耐鹽性)이 강(强) 목초(牧草)의 품종(品種)을 선택(選擇)코져 1975년(年) 5월(月)부터 1976년(年) 3월(月)까지 호주(濠洲)에서 도입(導入)한 몇가지 품종(品種)을 우리나라 해안지대(海岸地帶)에서 재배(栽培)하여 적응성(適應性)을 조사(調査)한 것이며 그 성적(成績)을 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 공시품종(供試品種)의 발아시험(發芽試驗)에 있어서 0.5% 염분함량(鹽分含量)에서는 발아(發芽)에 지장(支障)이 없었으나 1%의 염분함량(鹽分含量)에서는 발아일수(發芽日數)가 연장(延長)되었고 발아율(發芽率)도 떨어졌다. 2. 간척지(干拓地) 재배(栽培)의 결과(結果)는 0.5% 염분함량(鹽分含量)에서 전연(全然) 생육(生育)이 안되었고 0.05% 염분함량(鹽分含量)에서도 생육(生育)에 지장(支障)이 많았다. 이러한 결과(結果)는 간척지(干拓地)의 Mg. K ion 등(等)이 상호작용(相乘作用)을 하는 것 같다. 3. 청예수량(靑刈收量)은 무염구(無鹽區)에 비(比)해서 0.05% 염분함량구(鹽分含量區)가 대단(大端)히 떨어지는데 Kikuyu는 30%, Strawberry clover는 60%, Reed canary는 68%, Orchard grass는 86%가 감소(減少)되었다. 4. Kikuyu는 우리나라에서 전연(全然) 월동(越冬)이 불가능(不可能)하며 기타(其他) 품종(品種)은 월동(越冬)에 지장(支障)이 없다. 5. 우리나라 간척지대(干拓地帶)의 야초중(野草中)에서 0.5% 염분함량(鹽分含量)에서도 생육(生育)이 되는 갯겨이삭이 있으며 화본료사료(禾本料飼料)로서 성분(成分)도 우수(優秀)하다고 생각(生覺)되나 생육기간(生育期間)이 5월중순(月中句)부터 9월중순(月中句)까지 4개월간(個月間)이므로 크게 기대(期待)할수 없다. 6. 내염성(耐鹽性)이 강(强)한 목초(牧草)를 선택(選擇)하여 간척지(干拓地) 초지(草地) 조성(造成)을 하기 위해서는 Saltgrass, Saltbush, Shad Scale과 같은 것이나 기타 몇가지 품종(品種)을 계속(繼續) 도입(導入)하여 더욱 연구(硏究)할 필요(必要)가 있다고 생각(生覺)된다.
