Congo Red와 Benzopurpurine 4B의 화학구조가 면직물의 염색성 및 광퇴색성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Chemical Structures of Congo Red and Benzopurpurine 4B on the Dyeing Property and Lightfastness of Cotton Fabric)

  • The fading of dyed material by light has long been subject of investigation, yet surprisingly little is known of the fundamental photochemical reactions, because of mainly the complex nature of dye-fibre system. The effect of the chemical structure of dye on lightfastness has been mostly studied when there is substituents on the place satisfied Hammett rule. Therefore, in this investigation the effectiveness of chemical structures of Congo Red and Benzopurpurine 4B unsatisfied Hammett rule on dyeing property and lightfastness of cotton was studied. The results obtained from this study were as follows; 1. Highly polar solvents showed hypsochromic shift. 2. Adsorption isotherm curves of the two dyes were Freundlich type. And Congo Red showed good dyeing property in comparision with Benzopurpurine 4B. 3. The type of the FR curve of the two dyes was first-ordr curve. And the CF curves of the two dyes showed normal fading state during irradiation. 4. During irradiation, the Hue was changed on the part of yellowish. The Value was increasing and the Chroma was decreasing. 5. Benzopurpurine 4B showed good lightfastness in comparision with Congo Red.

홍화의 홍색소로 염색한 셀룰로오스계 직물의 광변퇴색 고찰 (A Study on Photofading of Cellulose Fabrics Dyed with Safflower Red Colorants)

  • The purpose of this study was to increase uv-cut ability of cotton, ramie, and rayon fabrics dyed with safflower red colorants. For this purpose, samples treated with uv-cut agent and tannic acid were compared with the untreated samples after ultraviolet(uv)-light exposure in terms of K/S value, color changes(${\Delta}E$), SEM, and tensile strength retention. K/S value rapidly decreased with increasing exposure time, but K/S value of the samples treated with both uv-cut agent and tannic acid decreased less than that of untreated samples. As increasing exposure time, $L^*$ and $b^*$ increased, $a^*$ decreased, and so ${\Delta}E$ increased, indicating less red character and more yellow character in color. This leads to change hue, value and chroma value. But color change of samples treated with both uv-cut agent and tannic acid was less than that of untreated samples. SEM pictures showed a severe degradation by uv exposure in all samples. Tensile strength slowly decreased for 21 days. And after this point, the decreased proceeded more rapidly. Tensile strength retention of the samples treated with uv-cut agent and tannic acid was higher than that of untreated samples.

36개월간 국내 옥외폭로시험에 따른 아연도강의 표면외관 변화 (Surface Appearance of Galvanized Steel with Outdoor Exposure Testing in Korea for 36 Months)

  • If galvanized steel is exposed to an outdoor environment, atmospheric corrosion will occur with time and red rust will form when the sacrificial protection capacity of zinc reaches its limit. With corrosion, the surface appearance of steel changes, and the properties of the exterior materials degrade. In this study, two kinds of galvanized steel, (GA and GI specimens) were subjected to an outdoor exposure test for 36 months in six regions of Korea. Chrominance (color, chroma, and brightness) and glossiness surface analyses were performed. The color change was not significant, regardless of the exposed area or the specimens tested. With increasing exposure times, the GA specimen became blackened by the formation of zinc oxide, and red coloration was increased by the formation of red rust. As the exposure time of GI specimen increased, the surface proceeded to blacken, but no red rust was formed and the color did not change significantly. Regardless of the outdoor exposure area or the specimen, longer exposure times led to lower glossiness, and this behavior appears to be influenced by the formation of zinc oxide.

대학생의 선지각에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Color Perception of University Students)

  • 본 연구는 한국표준색의 색지각 범위를 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 남자 99면, 여자 126명의 대학생을 실험대상으로 하였으며 육안비색법과 색측정기를 사용하여 분석하였다.그 결과 다음과 같은 사항을 밝혔다. 1) 색지각은 크게 4가지 유형으로 구분되었다. 즉, 빨강, 주황, 귤색, 노랑이 속한 단순형, 다홍, 노랑연두, 연두, 보라, 붉은 보라가 속한 X형, 초록, 청록, 바다색, 파랑, 감청이 속한 Y형, 풀색, 녹색, 남색, 남보라, 자주, 연지가 속한 복합형이다.2) 표준색과 평균지각색을 비교한 결과, 다홍, 노랑, 노랑연두, 연두, 풀색, 녹색, 초록, 보라는 그 값이 유사하였으며 파랑, 바다색, 붉은 보라, 연지 등은 표준색과 평균 지각색 사이의 차가 크게 나타났다. 3) 성별에 따른 지각차는 많은 색에서 나타났으며 여성이 남성보다 정확하게 색을 지각하고 있다는 것이 밝혀졌다.

보색을 이용한 눈의 굴절력 측정 (Measurement of the Refractive power for an Eye by using the Opposite Colors)

  • 눈의 보색조건에서 색상환에 대한 의존성을 이용하여 피검사자의 굴절력을 측정할 수 있도록 연구하였다. 그 결과 원시가 보다 넓은 범위의 명도 단계를 보는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 채도와의 관계에서는 근시나 원시의 구별이 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않아 눈의 종류와 채도와의 상관관계는 미약한 것으로 나타났다. 굴절력과 보색잔상의 색을 명도와 채도로 나누어 살펴보면 굴절력의 절대값이 클수록 넓은 범위의 색을 보는 것으로 나타났고, 작을수록 좁은 범위의 색을 보는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 명도는 눈이 좋은 사람일수록 적은 범위의 잔상효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 보색연구는 안경사가 실시하고 있는 적 녹 2색 검사(red-green test)를 한 단계 높이는 검사법으로 활용할 수 있다고 생각된다.

모바일 쇼핑 시 스마트폰 화면으로 인지되는 직물의 색상과 색차 비교 - 기기분석 방법을 중심으로 - (Fabric color and color difference recognized by smartphone display during mobile shopping - Focused on instrument analysis method -)

  • Mobile shoppers have encountered frequent color mismatch in the products that they have purchased, as they can only rely on their sense of sight. Therefore, fabric color and color difference recognized by smartphone display during mobile shopping were studied using instrument analysis method. It aimed to gather precise information on actual fabric color understanding of the mobile shoppers purchasing textile products. Three smartphones were selected from LG, Samsung, and Apple companies, and four colors were researched (red, yellow, green and blue) to both polyester and wool test fabrics for color analysis though color measuring instruments. The results from the spectrophotometer indicated that the color coordinate location of smartphone fabric color is similarly distributed regardless of the type of fabric. The Samsung smartphone displays a relatively high color chroma (especially on red-colored fabric) regardless of the type of fabric due to a high color reproduction range. In contrast, the LG smartphone, which has high color temperature, displays high color chroma on the blue colored fabric with a significant color mismatch between the actual fabric color and smartphone fabric color. From the results of this study, issues related to mobile shopping can be addressed through an analysis of the products sold, the smartphone's color representation, and user understanding.

표면 처리에 따른 거칠기가 인공치의 색안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Roughness on the Color Stability of Artificial Teeth according to the Surface Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 표면 처리에 따른 거칠기가 인공치의 색 안정성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 실시되었다. 표면 처리를 달리한 3개 군의 인공치 20개씩을 각각 간장, 고추장, 커피, 콜라에 침전시켰으며, 분석 장비는 Shade eye(Chroma Meter, Shofu, U.S.A)를 사용하였다. 침전시킨 시편들은 침전 후 각 1일, 3일, 1주, 2주, 3주. 4주 주기로 치아의 중앙부위 중에서 무작위로 3점을 선택하여 한 지점 당 3회씩 측정 한 후 그 평균값을 이용하여 L*, a*, b*값을 측정하였다. 다중회귀 분석 결과, 표면 처리에 따른 인공치의 ${\Delta}E*$ 값은 2군에서 유의미한 음(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타냈으며(p<0.001), 오염원 중 고추장(p<0.001)이 인공치의 색변화에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

견직물 자초 염색 시 오배자의 매염 효과 (The Effect of Gallnut Mordanting on Gromwell Dyed Silk Fabric)

  • The purpose of this study is to check color change, color fastness, increase wt., antibiosis, and UV-protection efficiency depending on gallnut concentrations and mordanting methods, when silk fabrics dye with gromwell according to pH. This results will contribute in developing of natural mordant with multi function. The results are as follows. ${\lambda}_{max}$ of Gallnut extracts was near 299 nm. When gallnut was used as a mordant, at all pH levels, pre-mordanted fabrics had red color and post-mordanted ones had red-purple color which was closed to natural color of gromwell. Brightness of post-mordanted fabrics was higher than that of pre-mordanted fabrics. In the case of chroma, pre-mordanted fabrics was higher than post-mordanted fabrics. There was no significant difference of color, brightness, and chroma depending on gallnut concentration. As mordanting concentration increased, fabric weight gradually went up and increase weight reached maximum $17{\sim}19%$. At all pH levels, color fastness improved by pre-mordanting and post-mordanting, and it showed the maximum $4{\sim}5$ grade of wet fastness and 5 grade of dry cleaning. Antibiosis of silk fabric was improved by gromwell dyeing and synthetic tannin mordanting. Antibiosis of gallnut extracts was excellent. The color fastness and antibiosis were preserved after 10 cycle dry cleaning. UV-protection efficiency was excellent by dyeing with gromwell and mordanting with gallnut.

식물염료염색 견직물의 색채 및 견우도에 관하여 (Colour Difference and Colour Rastness of Dyed Silk Fabric with Serveral Kinds of Vegetable Dyes.)

  • 몇 종의 식물자료에서 추출한 염액으로 견을 염색하여 색채를 조사하고 염색견에 3종의 매염제처리를 한 후 세탁 및 내광견도를 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. Tannin계 및 뽕나무뿌리로 염색한 견포의 색채는 연한 다색계통이었으며 염색견포에 황산동 및 황산제일철로 매염처리하면 색상(Hue)은 염재의 종류에 따라 각각 다르게 변화되었고 명도 및 채도(V/V)는 모두 감소되었다. 2. Tannin계 및 뽕나무뿌리로 염색한 견포에 황산동 및 황산제일철로 매염처리하면 미매염견에 비하여 세탁견도가 1급내외 향상되었고 매염처리견의 자외선조사에 의한 dye-loss율이 미매염처리 견보다 크게 감소되어 내광견도가 향상되었다.

자외선 유도 형광의 사과 성숙도 평가 적용 (UV/blue Light-induced Fluorescence for Assessing Apple Quality)

  • Chlorophyll fluorescence has been researched for assessing fruit post-harvest quality and condition. The objective of this preliminary research was to investigate the potential of fluorescence spectroscopy for measuring apple fruit quality. Ultraviolet (UV) and blue light was used as an excitation source for inducing fluorescence in apples. Fluorescence spectra were measured from 'Golden Delicious' (GD) and 'Red Delicious' (RD) apples using a visible/near-infrared spectrometer after one, three, and five minutes of continuous UV/blue light illumination. Standard destructive tests were performed to measure fruit firmness, skin and flesh color, soluble solids and acid content from the apples. Calibration models for each of the three illumination time periods were developed to predict fruit quality indexes. The results showed that fluorescence emission decreased steadily during the first three minutes of UV/blue light illumination and was stable within five minutes. The differences were minimal in the model prediction results based on fluorescence data at one, three or five minutes of illumination. Overall, better predictions were obtained for apple skin chroma and hue and flesh hue with values for the correlation coefficient of validation between 0.80 and 0.90 for both GD and RD. Relatively poor predictions were obtained for fruit firmness, soluble solids content, titrational acid, and flesh chroma. This research has demonstrated that fluorescence spectroscopy is potentially useful for assessing selected quality attributes of apple fruit and further research is needed to improve fluorescence measurements so that better predictions of fruit quality can be achieved.
