폐플라스틱의 열화학적 재활용 기술 국내 동향 (Domestic Trends in Thermochemical Recycling Technology of Waste Plastics)

  • 최근 탄소 중립 이슈와 함께 가장 많은 조명을 받고 있는 환경 문제로는 폐플라스틱 처리 문제가 있다. 폐플라스틱의 재활용 기술 중에서도 고온의 조건에서 유기물을 전환하여 원료 및 에너지로 재활용하는 열화학적 재활용 기술은 그동안 폐플라스틱에 주로 이용되어 왔던 물질재활용의 한계를 넘어선 기술로 평가 받고 있다. 열화학적 재활용 기술은 폐플라스틱을 원래 플라스틱의 원료로 재순환할 수 있는 순환경제의 핵심 기술로 부각되고 있으며 후속공정 및 최종 생산품의 활용 방법에 따라서 원료(Chemical recycling) 및 에너지(Waste to energy)로 재활용이 가능한 장점을 가지고 국내 뿐 아니라 세계적으로 주목을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 열화학적 재활용의 대표적인 세가지 기술인 연소, 가스화, 열분해에 대하여 살펴보고 최근 주요 기술 동향을 제시하고자 한다.

FRP선박의 범용 재활용을 위한 재처리시스템의 연구 (Developing a General Recycling Method of FRP Boats)

  • FRP선박의 폐처리와 재활용 연구는 지난 10여 년간 많은 발전이 이루어져 왔다. 특히 해상용과는 달리 폐기물의 투기나 방치가 매우 어려운 육상용 폐FRP의 재활용 방법과 기술의 발전에 기인한 결과이기도하다. 따라서 가장 많은 폐FRP 선박의 재처리는 육상용의 처리공정, 즉 파쇄와 분쇄 공정을 거친 후 수지류와 유리섬유류로 분리하여 재활용 또는 지정폐기물로 처리하게 되었다. 지난 연구를 통하여 처리공정 운영 측면에서 보다 경제적이며 2차 처리공정(분쇄 후 공정)에 유용한 시스템을 개발하였다. 그러나 다년간의 실험실규모의 처리시스템 운영을 통하여 두 가지의 개선점이 발견되었다. 첫째는 단순 용융하여 활용하던 유리섬유의 형상(폭과 넓이)의 다양화가 필요하게 되었으며, 두 번째 문제로는 수중 파쇄 공정 도입을 통하여 분진을 억제하였으나 시스템 상부(파쇄전 공정)를 통한 분진유발로 인하여 작업성의 저하가 발생한다는 것이다. 우선 유리섬유의 형상변화는 파쇄공정 중 칼날의 변화를 통하여 섬유 형태뿐만 아니라 chip형태(직사각형)로 박리할 수 있게 되었으며 파쇄공정의 상부에 cyclone분류기를 설치하여 유리가루와 수지가루를 분류하여 재활용하게 되었다. 아울러 작업환경의 청정성도 유지하게 되었다. 또한 유리 chip을 활용한 노 콘크리트 제품의 강도 실험결과 매우 우수한 결과를 보여주고 있으므로 앞으로의 폐FRP 선박의 재활용 분야의 다양성을 기대할 수 있을 것이다.

대학생들의 재활용자원 분리배출행동에 관한 연구 (Disposal Behaviors of College Students in Recycling Resources)

  • The purpose this study was to analyze the factors related to the disposal behavior of college students in recycling resources. Recycling resources were classified into four categories: paper, glass, cans and plastic. The data used this study were collected through questionnaire on 420 college students living in Jeju island. The data were analyzed by using SPSS WIN program and the methods of frequency, average, standard deviation, percentage, internal consistency method, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe's multiple range tests. The study results can be summarized as follows. Disposal behavior of paper was influenced by pocket money, of glass by sex and housing type, and of cans by housing type. Mother's education level was related to the disposal behavior of college students in recycling resources. In addition, the results showed that environment-friendly conscious and purchasing behaviors affected the disposal behavior of college students in recycling the resources of paper, glass, cans and plastic. The environment-friendly consciousness of college students was the most influential factor in the disposal behavior in recycling resources.

The simulation of the liberation and size distribution of shredder products under the material characteristic coding method

  • This paper establishes a coding method system including the liberation and size distribution of recycling materials in the shredder operation. Every particle in the shredded product becomes a code number using the liberation model and size distribution equation transforming of weight percentage into particles number percentage. One set of database can be obtained after all particles have been coded. This database is suitable for the size reduction operation in the process simulation of waste recycling. Coupling with the developed air classification, sizing and separating operations, the whole process simulation will be completely established for diversified application. A typical simulation for the rolling cutting shredder product of waste TV had been demonstrated under this coding system. The breakage size distribution of Gaudin and Schumann equation were selected for the shredding operation simulation. The Gaudin's liberation model was suitable fur the liberation simulation. Both of these equations were transformed weight percentage into particles distribution for the necessary of particle coding method. A better recycling operation for this shredded solid waste can be concluded from the comparison of simulation results with their sorted grade, recovery or economic of materials in different processes.

  • This technology Provides an economical Production of high value added goods applicable to electro chemicals by recycling of waste products in EGL(Electro Galvanizing Line). The waste products produced in EGL contain potassium chloride (KCI), nickel and zinc. Highly pure KCI and Zinc Chloride which are raw material of electro plating, can be produced by the development of the recycling process. The scope of this study ranges from laboratory experiments to pilot test in plant. We have developed the whole process of recycling technology such as purification method of waste products, fabrication methods of electro chemicals, basic design of plant, pilot scale production and evaluation of pilot goods, Developed electro chemicals were pure enough to satisfy the specification of steel company.

석회를 이용한 펄프공장 폐액의 화학적 처리에 관한 연구 (The study of chemical treatment of pulp mill bleaching waste liquor using lime)

  • This study was conducted to know the possibility of reducing lime dosage by recycling sludge from bleaching wastewater lime coagulation settlement treatment at pulp mill process. In case of bleaching wastewater at the pulp mill process, when the lime dosage was increased, the removal efficiency of TSS(Total Suspended Solids) was increased, proportionally, but the organic removal efficiency was increased very slowly. It was concluded that sludge recycling at the lime coagulation settlement process was effective method to reduce the requirement of lime dosage. At the lime coagulation settlement process with sludge recycling, when the recycling number was increased, the organic removal efficiency was decreased, sharply. It was evaluated that the pH could be the basic standard for lime supplement by sludge recycling.

건설폐기물의 재활용에 관한 국내 연구동향 분석: 1995-2016년 (Analytic Review of Research Trends on Recycling of Construction Wastes: 1995-2016)

  • 본 연구는 건설 폐기물의 재활용에 대한 국내 연구 동향을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 1995년부터 2016년까지 국내 학술지에 발표된 총 72편의 연구 논문을 분석하였다. 내용분석을 위한 분석틀로는 논문의 게재시기, 연구분야, 연구방법, 연구주제 등 총 4개의 세부 분석지표를 이용하였다. 분석 결과 게재 시기별로는 2006-2010년도에 건설 폐기물 재활용과 관련된 연구가 가장 많이 진행되었다. 연구분야에서는 건축분야 논문이 가장 많이 수행되었다. 연구 방법에서는 양적연구와 질적연구를 병행한 복합연구가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 연구 주제에 대한 분석 결과, 건설폐기물 재활용 실태 및 현황 파악을 다룬 연구가 가장 많았다. 후속연구에서는 분석대상 및 연구분야, 주제어의 범위를 확대하고 이를 대상으로 한 메타 분석 등 거시적, 미시적 차원의 다각적 연구가 실시될 필요가 있다.

Some Physical Properties of Regeneration Cemented Carbide Using Recycling WC Fine Powder by Tin Impregnation Method

  • Development of recycling method at cemented carbide scraps was researched. Some properties of recycled cemented carbides were investigated. Recycled WC fine powder suffered the surface oxidation. Therefore it was necessary to be done by reduction treatment at 1073K-3.6ks under hydrogen atmosphere. When sintering condition at 1673K-3.6ks was treated under vacuum condition, it gained the deflective strength of about 90%, and gained hardness and sintering density about same value compared with commercial alloys. As a result, it was able to recycle only by 7 processes.

  • Construction waste takes about 50% of total industrial waste. Researchers focuses to decrease the amount of construction waste by recycling the waste during the construction site. However, research about recycling the gelatin-sand composite is not yet been studied. This research is an experimental research on recycling the total specimen of gelatin-sand composite. Two methods were held when making the 2nd generation of the gelatin-sand specimen. As a result, there was no difference in flexural strenght between two different method of 2nd generation of specimen. However, the second method of 2nd generation showed about 20% higher compressive strength than the first method.
