This study is performed to examine the physical and mechanical properties of the high strength concrete using recycled aggregate. The recycled aggregate is replaced by 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% of natural crushed aggregate. The compressive strength of the concrete used recycled aggregate is shown in more than $400kgf/cm^2$ at the curing age 28 days. But the pulse velocity and dynamic modulus of elasticity are decreased with increasing the content of recycled aggregate. Accordingly, these recycled aggregate concrete can be used for high strength concrete.

Recently, owing to the deterioration of reconstruction and the construction, much of the construction waste is discharged in our construction field, and the amount of construction waste are rapidly increased. These waste are raised to financial and environmental problems, so the method of reusing waste concretes has been studied and carried out many direction. Especially being want of resources, if waste concrete could be recycled as aggregate for concrete, it will contribute to solve the exhaustion of natural aggregate, in terms of saving resources and protecting environment. This study is that the floating properties of concrete with recycled coarse aggregate were investigated for the substitution of recycled coarse aggregate. The result of this study, in case of water reducing, the property of harden concrete for the substitution ratio of recycled coarse aggregate was increased. The Quality of recycled coarse aggregate concrete was improved by water reducing.
Reduction of disposal of waste materials due to construction demolition has become a great concern in recent decades. The research work presents the hardened properties of concrete where the partial substitution of recycled coarse aggregate with natural aggregate in amount of 0%, 10%, 30% and 50%. By using different mixed proportions, fresh and hardened properties of concrete were conducted for this investigation. These properties were compared with control concrete. It can be seen that all of the hardened properties of concrete were decreased with the increasing percentage of recycled aggregate in concrete mixes. It was noticed that up to 30% recycled aggregate replacement can be yielded the optimum strength when it used in normal concrete. Finally, it can be said that disposed recycled concrete utilizing as a partial replacement in natural aggregate is a great way to reuse and reduce environmental hazards which achieve sustainability approach in the construction industry.

Recently, it is increased on the concern for the reuse of waste concrete because of the shortage of natural aggregate and the increase of waste concrete. And recycled coarse aggregate is used variously, but the existing wet method producted recycled fine aggregate has problems like the high price facilities, the long time progress of the work and recycled fine aggregate of poor. The aim of this study is to investigate the possibility of the method of dry producted high qualities recycled fine aggregate. The results of this study have shown that the possibility of the method of dry is certificated as the qualities of recycled fine aggregate satisfied the KS and the compressive strength of mortar was similar to plain.

Mechanical properties and durability of recycled aggregate concrete was known to decrease due to the adhesive mortar of recycled aggregate. But in this study, As the result of chloride diffusion resistance of recycled fine aggregate mortar, the mechanical properties are reduced according to the increase of the substitute ratio of recycled fine aggregate. But the chloride diffusion coefficient was almost same with natural fine aggregate mortar.

Due to the demolition of old structures, primarily buildings, an amount of discharged construction wastes are increased. From the construction wastes, recycled aggregate can be used as a useful resource for concrete. However, its application to structural member is very limited. In this experimental study, the compressive strength of spun-concrete using recycled aggregate was investigated. Coarse aggregate was replaced with $100\%$ of the recycled coarse aggregate, and recycled fine aggregate was replaced with various amount. According to the test results, the specimen of spun-concrete showed uniform compressive strength regardless the amount of replaced recycled fine aggregate.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the absorption ratio reduction of recycled coarse aggregate for concrete coated by polymer dispersions. The surface of recycled coarse aggregate is treated by polymer dispersion such as SBR and SAE with solid contents of 2%, 5% and 10%. From the test results, The minimum absorption ratio of the coated recycled coarse aggregate is 1.60 times smaller than that of uncoated recycle coarse aggregate. It is apparent that the absorption ratio of recycled coarse aggregate is much more improved by surface coating with polymer dispersions.

The use of recycled aggregate, even for low-performance concrete, has been very limited because recycled aggregate, which contains a large amount of old mortar, is very low in quality. To produce a high-quality recycled aggregate, removing the paste that adheres to the recycled aggregate is very important. We have conducted research on a complex abrasion method, which removes the component of cement paste from recycled fine aggregate by using both a low-speed wet abrasion crusher as a mechanical process and neutralization as chemical processes, and well as research on the optimal manufacturing condition of recycled fine aggregates. Subsequently, we evaluated the quality of recycled fine aggregate manufactured using these methods, and tested the specimen made by this aggregate. As a result, it was found that recycled fine aggregates produced by considering the aforementioned optimal abrasion condition with the use of sulfuric acid as reactant showed excellent quality, recording a dry density of 2.4 and an absorption ratio of 2.94. Furthermore, it was discovered that gypsum, which is a reaction product occurring in the process, did not significantly affect the quality of aggregates. Furthermore, the test of mortar using this aggregate, when gypsum was included as a reaction product, showed no obvious retarding effect. However, the test sample containing gypsum recorded a long-term strength of 25.7MPa, whereas the test sample that did not contain gypsum posted a long-term strength of 29.4MPa. Thus, it is thought to be necessary to conduct additional research into the soundness and durability because it showed a clear reduction of strength.

Amount of disposed construction materials like waste concrete is growing fast and use of the recycled aggregate for concrete has been seriously considered. But the use of the recycled aggregate is very limited because recycled aggregate has very low quality. Therefore, quality of recycled aggregate is very important in the manufacturing of recycled aggregate concrete. We have studied a series of research according to chemical processes and investigate the alkaline elimination effect of recycled aggregate and quality variation of recycled aggregate by sodium carbonate. Thereafter we have evaluated quality of recycled fine aggregate and experimented quality of this aggregate. As a results, we find that it is easy to eliminate the calcium hydroxide in recycled aggregate by sodium carbonate and the quality of recycled aggregate increase by elimination of alkaline.
