The nickel-based alloy Nimonic 80A possesses the excellent strength, and the resistance against corrosion, creep and oxidation at high temperature. Its products are used in aerospace engineering, marine engineering and power generation, etc. Control of forging parameters such as strain, strain rate, temperature and holding time is important because change of the microstructure in hot working affects the mechanical properties. Change of the microstructure evolves by recovery, recrystallization and grain growth phenomena. The dynamic recrystallization evolution has been studied in the temperature range of $950\~1250^{\circ}C$ and strain rate range of $0.05\~5s^{-1}$ using hot compression tests. The metadynamic recrystallization and grain growth evolution has been studied in the temperature range of $950\~1250^{\circ}C$ and strain rate range $0.05,\;5s^{-1}$, holding time range of 5, 10, 100, 600 sec using hot compression tests. Modeling equations are proposed to represent the flow curve, recrystallized grain size, recrystallized fraction and grain growth phenomena by various tests. Parameters in modeling equations are expressed as a function of the Zener-Hollomon parameter. The modeling equation for grain growth is expressed as a function of the initial grain size and holding time. The modeling equations developed were combined with thermo-viscoplastic finite element modeling to predict the microstructure change evolution during hot forging process. The grain size predicted from FE simulation results is compared with results obtained in field product.

This study purposed to examine the effect of low power laser on pain response and axonal regeneration. In order to prepare peripheral nerve injury models, we crushed the sciatic nerve of Sprague-Dawley rats and treated them with low power laser for 21 days. The rats were divided into 4 groups: normal group(n=10); control group(n=10) without any treatment after the induction of sciatic nerve crush injury; experimental group I(n=10) treated with low power laser(0.21$mJ/mm^2$) after the induction of sciatic nerve crush injury; and experimental group II(n=10) treated with low power laser(5.25$mJ/mm^2$) after the induction of sciatic nerve crush injury. We measured spontaneous pain behavior(paw withdrawal latency test) and mechanical allodynia(von Frey filament test) for evaluating pain behavioral response, and measured the sciatic function index for evaluating the functional recovery of peripheral nerve before the induction of sciatic nerve crush injury and on day 1, 7, 14 and 21 after the induction. After the experiment was completed, changes in the H & E stain and toluidine blue stain were examined histopathologically, and changes in MAG(myelin associated glycoprotein) and c-fos were examined immunohistologically. According to the results of this study, when low power laser was applied to rat models with sciatic nerve crush injury for 21 days and the results were examined through pain behavior evaluation and neurobehavioral, histopathological and immunohistological analyses, low power laser was found to affect pain response and axonal regeneration in both experimental group I and experimental group II. Moreover, the effect on pain response and axonal regeneration was more positive in experimental group I to which output 0.21$mJ/mm^2$ was applied than in experimental group II to which 5.25$mJ/mm^2$ was applied.

In the present study, a new computational closure model is proposed in order to contain physical models in the k- and .epsilon.- equations. The time scale of the third-order diffusive transport of turbulent kinetic energy in a curved streamline flow field is assumed as a function of a velocity time scale and a curvature time scale, the latter being derived from the analogy between buoyancy and streamline curvature effects on turbulence. The curvature time scale is represented by a combination of Brunt-Vaisala frequency of the curvature instability and the velocity time scale. Besides the modification of diffusive transport time scale, the destruction term in the dissipation rate equation is modeled to incorporate the streamline curvature effect on the dissipation rate of turbulent kinetic energy as a function of the ratio between velocity time scale and curvature time scale. The new curvature dependent 2-equation model is found to yield very good prediction accuracy for the various turbulent recirculating flows. Particurarly, the recovery of the mean velocity profile in the redeveloping region after the reattachment is correctly simulated by the present model.

This study materialized the new module which enables to measure more precise data than the existing modules in order to examine the cardiac disorder critical patient's state by using Swan-Ganz Catheter. There was bolus type CO(Cardiac Output) module which measured CO by measuring the blood changes in temperature and recovery time by injecting cold sap into the heart in the past, but recently, it is not used in most of hospitals due to limit of difficulty of continuous monitoring for the patients. To overcome this limit, the continuous cardiac output measurement platform was materialized to enable the continuous monitoring for patients. The wasted cost issues because of introducing the expensive imported equipment to observe the critical patient`s state with abnormal cardiopulmonary function in the hospitals can be solved by using this new module, and the problem of existing modules should be supplemented for more accurate diagnosis by collecting more precise data.
The efficacy of adipose-derived stem cells (ASCs) on myocardial infarction is limited due to poor survival and engraftment. Integrin-mediated cell adhesion is a prerequisite for its survival and homing. ASCs expressed insufficient integrin 𝛼4, limiting their homing capacity. This study aims to characterize integrin 𝛼4+ ASC subpopulation and investigate their therapeutic efficacy in myocardial infarction. We used fluorescence-activated cell sorting to harvest integrin 𝛼4+ ASCs subpopulation, which were characterized in vitro and transplanted into myocardial infarction model. Positron emission tomography imaging were performed to measure infarction size. Cardiac cine magnetic resonance imaging was used to evaluate heart contractile function. Compared with the unfractionated ASCs, integrin 𝛼4+ ASCs subpopulation secreted a higher level of angiogenic growth factors, migrated more rapidly, and exhibited a stronger anti-apoptotic capacity. Vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 was obviously up-regulated at 3 days after myocardial infarction, which interacted with integrin α4 receptor on the surface of ASCs to enhance the survival and adhesion. Thus, we implanted unfractionated ASCs or integrin α4+ ASCs subpopulation into the 3-day infarcted myocardium. Integrin α4+ ASCs subpopulation exhibited more robust engraftment into the infarcted myocardium. Integrin α4+ ASCs subpopulation more effectively decreased infarct size and strengthen cardiac function recovery than did the unfractionated ASCs. Integrin α4+ ASCs subpopulation is superior to unfractionated ASCs in ameliorating ischemic myocardial damage in animal model. Mechanistically, their more robust engraftment into the infarct area, higher migratory capacity and their increased release of paracrine factors contribute to enhanced tissue repair.
Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate neuroprotective effects of Neutral Pharmacopuncture for Blood Stasis(NPBS) into SP10 and Tangguisusangami-tang (dangguixusanjiawei-tang)(TGT) in the experimental Traumatic Brain Injury(TBI)rats. Methods : Male rats were divided into 4 groups. Group I was no treatment after TBI. Group II was treatment with NPBS into SP10 after TBI. Group III was treatment with TGT after TBI. In TUNEL expression, IV was decreased as compared with each Group I, II, III in 7 days later. Group IV, III were decreased as compared with each Group I, II, III in 14 days later. Conclusions : According to the results, NPBS and TGT can inhibit apoptosis of cells after TBI in rats by contol of BAX and BCL-2, TUNEL expression. And also can help neurological motor behavioral function.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of visual cue deprivation during sideways treadmill training in individuals with stroke. Twenty-eight stroke patients were divided into two groups, and each group participated in a sideways treadmill training session for 20 minutes, three times per week for 4 weeks. The eyes close group (15 subjects) performed this treadmill training with visual cue deprivation, while the eyes open group (13 subjects) performed it without visual cue deprivation. Gait function was measured in both groups before and after the training sessions with the Biodex Gait Trainer 2, which determined walking speed, distance, step length, and time on each foot. Balance was measured before and after each training period in both groups using the Five-Times Sit-to-Stand Test (FTSST), the Timed Up and Go test (TUG), and the seven-item Berg Balance Scale-3P (7-item BBS-3P). The eyes close group showed significantly improved gait function, walking speed, distance, step length, and time on each foot after training (p<.05). The eyes close group showed improved balance ability, FTSST, TUG, and 7-item BBS-3P test after training (p<.05). The findings indicated that sideways treadmill training with visual cue deprivation positively affects gait ability of stroke patients. Therefore, sideways treadmill training with visual cue deprivation may be useful for the recovery of gait ability of stroke patients.

In this paper, we design a program that controls the execution permissions for the running application in the Windows system environment. It does not allow general users to execute the program converting the specific location information of the execution program, to any of the bit values with the formal structure information in window program. The converted bit value can be returned to the original bit value in the case of an authorized user, so that the original program can be normally performed. By doing so, it can be more safely used in the risk of reverse engineering for Windows executable program. We implemented the control program for the program execution authority we proposed in this paper, and the experiment was performed. At the results of experiments, it was confirmed that the control function to permit execution for the user program was working properly in the Windows environment.
In this paper, we have investigated the CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) Cellular System with non-linear equalizer in reverse link channel. In general, due to unknown characteristics of channel in the wireless communication, the distribution of the observables cannot be specified by a finite set of parameters; instead, we partitioned the m-dimensional sample space Into a finite number of disjointed regions by using quantiles and a vector quantizer based on training samples. The algorithm proposed is based on a piecewise approximation to regression function based on quantiles and conditional partition moments which are estimated by Robbins Monro Stochastic Approximation (RMSA) algorithm. The resulting equalizers and detectors are robust in the sense that they are insensitive to variations in noise distributions. The main idea is that the robust equalizers and robust partition detectors yield better performance in equiprobably partitioned subspace of observations than the conventional equalizer in unpartitioned observation space under any condition. And also, we apply this idea to the CDMA system and analyze the BER performance.

Superparamagnetic properties of self-aggregated cobalt nanoparticles in the perfluorinated ion-exchange polymeric membrane (MF-4SK) prepared by ion-exchange and recovery methods were investigated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) magnetometer at various temperatures. Our experimental results show that cobalt nanoparticles in MF-4SK for the concentration of $7.8{\times}10^{19}$ atoms per 1 g of polymer membrane exhibit superparamagnetic properties above the average blocking temperature ($T_{B}$), which is determined to be around 185 K at applied field of 500 Oe. The average particle radius of 4.0 nm achieved from Langevin function fit is in good agreement with TEM observations. This experimental evidence suggests that cobalt nanoparticles in polymer film obey a single domain theory. The results are discussed in the light of current theory for the superparamagnetic behavior of magnetic nanoparticles.
