This study aims to design and implement RSS-based archival information service system for activating online-based archival information circulation and providing personalized archival information services. To achieve the goals, XML document formats and database schema for four selected items are designed and implemented. Also, an performance of the implemented service system is evaluated to with a general web browser.

This research is aimed at proposing the policies for enhancing information services at the GARS. To this end, a survey was carried out over the user group, the staff group, and the external expert group. And then the 3-Partner Approach Model was proposed that accommodates the archivist-centered partnership with users and external experts. Based on this model. the three-aspect policies to upgrade information services were proposed.

"Gyeonggi-do Memory," established and operated by Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library, is a local digital archive aiming to broaden the access to Gyeonggi-do's cultural resource records. Since 2014, the library has been expanding its digital information service, starting with the said archive. Through cooperation with various cultural institutions in the province, it builds the digital archive by collecting numerous records. In particular, the archive is expected to establish itself as a repository that stores records of production or dealing in Gyeonggi-do and a platform to share with researchers and citizens.

This study started from recognizing the problem that neither the identity nor the role of records managers is clarified enough. Therefore, this study identifies the function of the records managers and how it should be carried. The method of functional analysis was used to collect information, and then the AHP method to analyze te core functions of the records managers. As a result, core functions were identified as follows: records management policy making, education, production control, records schedule management, collecting, transferring, description, appraisal, de-accessioning, records center management, disclosure, perusal service, and records management system. Therefore, this study presents that identity and role of the records managers as well as the priorities of the job.

'Personal Healthcare Records' (PHR) is a service for providing individual clinical data to patients. PHR service should be useful for the patient and healthcare service providers. This study has aimed at not only providing patients' clinical data but also developing optimized healthcare service for every patients. The research has been conducted as 3 phases: formal case analysis, caregivers interviews and patients interviews. The patients interviews were limited to cancer patients. As results, 3 key functions have been developed. First, it offers patient's clinical pathway as a personalized medical treatment scheduler. Second, it supplies Question & Answer board on online. Last, it supports patients to input their healthcare record. This Myongji PHR service has 3 months of pilot test on web and mobile application(android version). For further commercialized PHR service, the standardization for clinical pathway registration and user convenience need to be considered.

In Korean historical documents, there are a great number of the records for various astronomical events. In particular, historical documents of the Joseon dynasty also have the records containing observational data by an astronomical instrument. However, a quantitative analysis for the accuracy of observational values have never been studied, although there are some studies on the truth of the records themselves. Hence, we investigated observation errors during the period of the Joseon dynasty from the records of Joseon-Wang-Jo-Sil-Lok (the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty) and Seung-Jeong-Won-Il-Gi (Daily Records of the Royal Secretariat). We used the records of the Mars, supernova 1604, and Halley's Comet, and found that observational values before the Hideyoshi invasions in 1592 are relatively more accurate than those after then. However, because the number of cases used in this study is small, we think that more studies are needed to confirm our results. Nonetheless, we reckon our work will be of service to understand astronomical records of the Joseon dynasty.

Currently, not only central governmental agencies, but also local government started to hire records management professionals, and the records management became more systematic. This study tried to understand the current situation of local government's records management. Among the local governments' records management offices of in metropolitan area, i.e. Seoul, Gyonggi and Incheon where they hired records management professionals, 11 professionals were interviewed between September and October 2009. Based on the interview, the current situation and problems of the local government records management offices were identified in the areas of system related, administration related, and information service related. Suggestions for the improvement were proposed on those areas.

Metadata is a crucial component of record management, playing a vital role in properly managing and understanding the record. In cases where automatic metadata assignment is not feasible, manual input by records professionals becomes necessary. This study aims to alleviate the challenges associated with manual entry by proposing a method that harnesses ChatGPT technology for extracting records management metadata elements. To employ ChatGPT technology, a Python program utilizing the LangChain library was developed. This program was designed to analyze PDF documents and extract metadata from records through questions, both with a locally installed instance of ChatGPT and the ChatGPT online service. Multiple PDF documents were subjected to this process to test the effectiveness of metadata extraction. The results revealed that while using LangChain with ChatGPT-3.5 turbo provided a secure environment, it exhibited some limitations in accurately retrieving metadata elements. Conversely, the ChatGPT-4 online service yielded relatively accurate results despite being unable to handle sensitive documents for security reasons. This exploration underscores the potential of utilizing ChatGPT technology to extract metadata in records management. With advancements in ChatGPT-related technologies, safer and more accurate results are expected to be achieved. Leveraging these advantages can significantly enhance the efficiency and productivity of tasks associated with managing records and metadata in archives.

In the era of digital transformation, new technologies have begun to be applied in the field of records management, away from the traditional view that emphasized the existing institutional and administrative aspects. Therefore, this study analyzed the service status of archives, libraries, and museums applied with advanced intelligent technology and identified the differences. Then, we proposed how to apply intelligent archival information services based on the analysis results. The reason for including libraries and museums in the research is that they are covered by a single category as an information service provider. To achieve our study aims, we conducted literature and case studies. Based on the results of the case study, we proposed the application strategies of intelligent archival information services. The results of this study are expected to help develop intelligent archival service models that are suitable for the changed electronic records environment.

With technological and cultural changes around web and mobile networks, SNS would be considered as an important tool for information sharing. Especially, SNS represented Facebook and Twitter is being new paradigm for communication. This study seeks to methods to provide a service user participation and cooperation and expands use and access to archival information service through SNS. To achieve the goals, this study proposed a method to provide effective archival information service through literature research. Also, the proposed service was implemented with system design and components.
