This study concerns logistics support analysis record(LASR) which provides guaranteed support, and is needed in various weapon systems development and acquisition to develop the optimal factor for integrated logistics support(ILS) by reflecting the results of logistics support analysis(LSA). We observe and analyze the logistics management information(LMI) system used in the United States under the integrated data environment(IDE), and analyze the differences between logistics management information system and the LOADERS(logistic support analysis data entry and retrieval system) which is currently used in Korea. Based on the analyzed results, a improvement model that corresponds to reality and can be applied is presented.

This study is a case study for in-house developed Record Maintenance and Management (RMMS) which is a digital data storage/retrieval system in a GIS-enabled solution. RMMS is designed for reorganizing submitted architectural drawings associated with scanned drawings files & geodatabase, managing metadata/table and geometric features in ArcSDE/Enterprise geodatabase format. The birth of the RMMS was borne out of a necessity for a modernized approach in digital file basis to provide improved customer services for various architectural drawings and associated with geo-spatial and its attribute information. Through a case study for building permit & review practice implemented on an internet-based Electronic Architectural administration Information System (EAIS) at the local governments in Korea, this study is able to derive differences between GIS-enabled RMMS system implemented in the Richmond City and internet-based EAIS system implemented in the local government in Korea. In an effort to be the most effective, it presents meaningful ways of maximizing efficiency in record maintenance & management system derived from the case studies that looked into in ways of a method in RMMS' operation, implementation on GIS platform, mutual interface among various programs with various digital files and finally technical supports and system development /upgrade.

The National Archives of Korea (NAK) operates the NAK Portal as a record search system. However, user search satisfaction is too low, and the number of visitors to the portal is gradually decreasing. This study identifies the portal's issues, proposes feasible improvements, and constructs a pilot system to validate the solutions. The preliminary assessment revealed six major issues, such as poor search tool performance and the lack of consistency in search results. After clarifying the improvement measures, a pilot system was established and compared with the National Records Portal. The evaluation showed significant performance improvements in the pilot system, such as Precision, Recall, and Mean Reciprocal Rank (MRR).

The Computerizing Record Management System(RMS) has been developed for ULJIN Nuclear Power Plant in Korea on the basis of the Manual System. By means of review and analysis of processing flow & project requirements, system logics such as Receiving system, Logging system, Distribution system, Filing system, Indexing & Retrieval system and Output system of statistic and various reports, have been established for computerizing. Structure of Masterfile has been designed so as to include Bibliographic data, Transmittal data, Distribution data, Area data, RMS data for operation of Plant. The RMS data have been designed for construction and operation of the plant by adding index parameters for operation such as System code, KEPCO No., Component link code and Retention period on the point of receiving. The RMS has turned out an easy access to cross-reference between RMS and Material Control System.

This study is to develop effective document ranking algorithms in the P-norm retrieval system which can be implemented to the Boolean retrieval system without major difficulties by using non-statistical term weights based on document structure. Also, it is to enhance the performance by introducing the rank adjustment process which rearranges the ranks of retrieved documents according to the similarity between the top ranked documents and the rest of them. Of the non-statistical term weight algorithms, this study uses field weight and term pair distance weight. In the rank adjustment process, five retrieval experiments were performed, ranging between the case of using one record for the similarity measurement and the case of using first five records. It is proved that non-statistical term weights are highly effective and the rank adjustment process enhance the performance further.

In this paper, we describe a developmental system for establishing personal information tendency based on user queries. For each query, the system classified it based on the category information using a kNN classifier. As category information, we used DDC field which is already assigned to each record in the database. The system accumulates category information for all user queries and the user's personalized feature for the target database. We then developed a personalized retrieval system reflecting the personalized feature to produce search result. Our system re-ranks the result documents by adding more weights to the documents for which categories match with the user's personalized feature. By using user's tendency information, the ambiguity problem of the word could be solved. In this paper, we conducted experiments for personalized search and word sense disambiguation (WSD) on a collection of Korean journal articles of science and technology arena. Our experimental result and user's evaluation show that the performance of the personalized search system and WSD is proved to be useful for actual field services.

In recent years, Personal Health Record (PHR) has emerged as a patient-centric model of health information exchange. The Personal Health Record (PHR) owners enjoy the full right of accessing their records anywhere and anytime making storage and retrieval more efficient. Due to the sensitivity and confidential nature of the PHR, however, the PHR is maintained in a secure and private environment with the individual determining rights of access. In this paper, we propose a system which enables access to the user's PHR in the event of emergency. In emergency situation where the user is unconscious, the emergency staff can use the PHR information to request a emergency access to the PHR server based on the predefined rights of access for PHR. Under the proposed system, the PHR owner can specify a fine grain access control policy during emergency situations.

The purpose of this study is to explore practical methods of interlibrary loan system, linked with information retrieval system. The process and current status of interlibrary loan was investigated and analyzed at medical libraries in this study. In order to find the way of utilizing data from information retrieval and document request at the same time, the author tries to develop a way of linking PubMed, Union Catalog and ILL system. This study shows that hit record of information retrieval was saved in type of MEDLINE, XMLJSGML and reused for document delivery services. It seems to be efficient that the maintenance of Union Catalog was managed by all of member libraries, and data were retrieved at server and client side at once. In addition, it was found that user information can be checked by the IP and ILL system can be used for requested document by the saved result.

Accumulated data was classified and designed to search by basic information. drug/injection prescription. examination prescription, treatment prescription. supply. and a record of the nursing process. 3. Various forms of retrieval including graphs were elaborated in terms of diagnosis and intervention aspects.
