  • In this paper, we analysis 226 papers in the journal of the Korea Society of Mathematical Education Series A for recent 10 years. We classified the papers by the contents, method and the level of schools. In particular, we analysis the contents of concerns focused on the paper about geometry education.

Mechanical Design of Deepwater Pipeline Wall Thickness Using the Recent Rules

  • This paper presents a mechanical design of the deepwater pipeline wall thickness using the recent design rules. Characteristics and limitations of the new codes were identified through a case study design in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition to the ASME, API, and DVD codes, the code of federal regulations (CFR) was also utilized in the design. It was found that conservatism still exists within the collapse prediction for water depth greater than 1500 m. Comparision of the results from DNV and API codes were presented.

  • The super multi-view (SMV) display and the high-density directional (HDD) display were proposed as a natural 3D display that is free from the visual fatigue caused by the accommodation-vergence conflict and provides smooth motion parallax. The multi-projection system, the flat-panel system, and the time-multiplexing system are used to construct the HDD displays. The recent progress of the HDD 3D display is reviewed.

  • 3M has developed a Precision Replication Process for the production of PDP Barrier Ribs and other display devices. This process, is fast, clean and capable of producing very high resolution (FHD and beyond), high aperture ratio and fine cell structures.   • Excimer-laser-based crystallization is ideallysuited for forming crystalline Si films on glass substrates for use in active-matrix displays. In this paper, we will report on recent and significant technical advances in light sources and beam delivery systems targeted at enabling ultra-uniform mura-free low-temperature polycrystalline silicon active-matrix backplanes while simultaneously lowering production costs and increasing throughput.

An Analysis of Indoor Positioning Technologies using Wireless Signals

  • In this paper, we present indoor positioning technologies using the wireless signal categorizing them into triangulation based, fingerprinting based, and cell ID based technologies. We describe several representative techniques for each of them emphasizing their strengths and weaknesses. We define important performance issues for indoor positioning technologies and analyze recent technologies according to the performance issues. We believe that this paper provide wise view and necessary information for recent indoor positioning technologies using wireless signals.

  • In their recent paper[2], they show that the existence theory for the analytic operator-valued Feynman path integral can be extended by making use of recent developments in the theory of Dirichlet forms and Markov process. In this field, there is the necessity of studying certain generalized functionals of the process (of Feynman-Kac type). Their study have been concerned with Feynman-Kac type functionals related with smooth measures associated with the classical Dirichlet form (associated with the Laplacian).(omitted)

  • This paper presents the recent repair and maintenance techniques of R/C structures in Korea. This paper consists of four parts : the first part introduces the current diagmosis techniques, the second one includes the repair methods and the third one classifies the repair material. Finally a repair case of the R/C structure in a chemical plant in Korea was introduced.

Recent developments of constructing adjacency matrix in network analysis

  • In this paper, we review recent developments in network analysis using the graph theory, and introduce ongoing research area with relevant theoretical results. In specific, we introduce basic notations in graph, and conditional and marginal approach in constructing the adjacency matrix. Also, we introduce the Marcenko-Pastur law, the Tracy-Widom law, the white Wishart distribution, and the spiked distribution. Finally, we mention the relationship between degrees and eigenvalues for the detection of hubs in a network.
